They were recommended to me by W&B Automotive, when I bought my very first car and I needed Winter Tires. Don was extremely accommodating. Every time I have a flat and need a tire repair, they've always gotten me in right away and gotten it fixed immediately. Sometimes at no-charge even! My most recent experience was today. On Saturday I got a flat tire in Madden, AB and had to get AMA to come change my tire. I tried to get into Canadian Tire to have them fix it, and they told me the hole was "Too big for the plug" and that I needed to buy a new tire. And they were going to charge me a fortune for it because I have 17" low-profile tires. I took it in to Don this morning and he had a look at it and was able to fix it. I ALWAYS recommend OK tire to my friends and colleagues when they ask me where a good place to buy tires is. Even if they live in Calgary, the quality of service is well worth it.

Recently had driven to southern B.C. with my campervan with all the mountain driving and using the…read morebrakes often when I got to Calgary I took my van to get it looked at Crowfoot minute-tune& brakes - crowfoot and they recommended to get rear brakes and replace front calipers, fair enough, got the job done, paid for the brake job which was higher cost than other places and went to get in ,van noticed my hub caps missing and went to talk to Marty , service manager, where is my hubcaps, he looked in car bay and could not find them and said are you sure you had 4 hubcaps, yes I drove all of southern B.C and I had 4 hubcaps and had them when I dropped off van to get brake service, he said I will talk to owner of shop, 5 weeks went by of which every week I would drop by to see if I could get compensation for replacing hubcaps, finally finding new hubcaps and giving receipt to Marty of $55 and again he said I would talk to owner 4 days later going to see Marty he said he talked to owner and he said no way he would pay for the hubcaps, very petty for such a small amount and I would never recommend any body to deal with this shop

My first experience set the standard for all visits. I had an issue with my coolant leaking. It was becoming a serious problem. I called them in the morning, they had me in at 1:30 I dropped my car off ,had it back by 4:30 fixed and perfect all for approximately $100. Bear in mind, this involved them ordering in a part and installing it all in record time. Amazing. They seem to service all kinds of cars, which is great and also do repairs as well as maintenance. This place is consistently great - for so many reasons. Here are the reasons I love this place: Service - everyone is friendly - and Nikita ( the front office manager I believe) is knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and "real" . I was disappointed with the service I received from Concept-1 last month. I had to tow my Westfalia…read moreto them because of transmission problems. The assessment I got the next day was that the transmission had to be rebuilt or replaced. They didn't say directly but skirted around the fact that they didn't want to do the job and they didn't have any referrals of someone who would do the job. They essentially said that I should pull my vehicle from their shop, have it towed back to my house and start looking for a new mechanic. I found one who came to my house, took one quick look and said "There's no transmission fluid in here!" We went and got some tranny fluid, put it in, and the vehicle was operational again. It still needed work on the transmission but at least the most basic and fundamental step was taken to address the problem - put fluid in. I don't know why Concept-1 would not have done that nor how they could have made a proper assessment of the transmission problem without fluid in it! I won't be trusting them with my vehicle again.

The thing is the first time I was here the experience was very good. Both times the same guy…read moreserviced me I think his name was Festum. The first time everything went smoothly and he also offered me a discount which was awesome. The second time around no discount was offered and he tried to convince me that my Oil Drain Bolt needed to be replaced. I occasionally do my own oil changes, so I know that this is not the case. I did inspect the bolt afterwards, and it certainly didn't need replacing. The only conclusion that I can come up with is that they just wanted to upsell me on that, and it's not even a huge extra cost, it's just that certainly it's something that didn't need to be done, and I don't appreciate trying to be forced into something that's clearly a lie. I understand that these places make their money partially through upselling, and sometimes that's alright if it's concerning things that actually would help the vehicle like changing dirty transmission fluid, but not if it doesn't need to be changed! That's essentially, let's say a lower form of fraud.
