I was very lucky to try them from the beginning and I already see a change in my body. Most importantly, best thing about the meals is how I feel after I eat. No preservatives, no more bloat, no more feeling sluggish, just tons of clean energy. The price is reasonable and the portions are hearty and delicious, catering to everyone's palate. Even my finicky daughter fights me over their food. Cinzia is fantastic, she has been very prompt and responsive to all my requests. More than once she went out of her way to accommodate my needs and customize my plan. Who knew healthy meals can be so yummy? With Italian Meal Prep eating healthy will never be boring again.

They release a changing menu on Tuesdays with delivery on Monday morning. I've been part of this program for almost a month with the exception of one week due to Thanksgiving. The menu includes the option to choose two snacks which can be substituted for one meal. If you need to make any modifications to your meal (i.e. exclude mashed potatoes for extra veggies), all you need to do is provide dietary needs in a field on the Google form, and if there are any questions, you can handle everything through text. There are checkboxes on the Google form for keto and paleo options. For the convenience of food prep and to support locally, I've been happy with Viva Foods. They provide a healthy and convenient option with how busy I am with work. Thanks Viva Foods!

Everyone agreed that the Salted Caramel Deluxe was the best!!!! All the cookies were, of course, really sweet. You may want to reach for one of the milks that they sell there to wash everything down. **July 2026: Sunday Afternoon Visit**…read more During my SDCC weekend, I walked by Michaela's Meals in the Gaslamp Quarter, which was right between my hotel and the convention center. This shop was just one street down from Ralphs and Vitality Tap so it was conveniently located. On Sunday afternoon, I noticed the space was open for business, so I popped in to check it out. It's a small spot with a staff member, a fridge full of pre-made meals, a little bar area with two stools, a cold water pitcher, and a microwave. The main business model is a weekly subscription, but I learned that the owner also keeps leftovers in the fridge for grab-and-go customers on Wednesdays and Sundays from 1:30-5 p.m. They also run a "buy 4 get 1 free" and "buy 8 get 2 free" promotion, which makes the meals an even better value. I assumed she makes an abundance and sells those for $10 a meal, but since I stopped by close to closing, I got mine for $5 each. I grabbed two to try because the meals looked very nutrition-focused and considering I ate basically garbage throughout Comic Con it was a smart choice to fuel up with real food. I tried a Mediterranean chicken over yellow rice and zucchini, as well as a ground hamburger-style sloppy joe-type meal. The food definitely leans healthy, and considering how inconvenient it is to eat well at SDCC, this was a great find. Since she has Wednesday and Sunday pickups, I'm now contemplating doing a preview-night (Wednesday) pickup for a couple of meals on my next visit. I'll be in touch with Michaela's for future San Diego trips.

I got the far out sandwich and it was really good but the portion size for it being $20 is overpriced. My friend's chicken Caesar wrap was about $20 too. Plus, they're local and use local farmers. However I was very disappointed with these meals. First off, they have a form you fill out and it shows you all of the meals. Looking at the photos, I was excited to try the food. But before I even got to seeing my meals, the wrong meals were delivered to me. I had to call the support and they assured me that the driver would come back and swap them out, a bad start to my experience. Following that, when I finally got the food I was very disappointed. The food looks nothing like the photos, and not only that but it is extremely bland, but not only that, all of the lean protein I ordered was extremely dry, as once I reheated it it seemed like it was cooked too much. To give them the credit though, the pork wasn't dry, however that's not saying much given its easy to keep that from being dry. I've tried multiple competitors in regards to meal prep and this is the most expensive meal prep company I've ever tried, but it's considerably worse than the others in San Diego.

The clams themselves were sweet and briny, the family finished those in seconds. The spot prawns, we tried the heads two ways, only I was brave enough... crazy family, those are delish. We pan fried half and air fried half. We did the tails with just boiled water poured over and then tossed with a tiny bit of butter and lemon. Oh dear god those were so freaking delicious. Tried the roe two ways, it was good, but not my daughter's or my favorite texture. The boys were again too chicken. If anyone has suggestions on better prep, please share. However, the flavors were so unique I had to try them. I ordered the combo of 5 preselected cookies and that was $30 just for the cookies alone. So yea $6/cookie is a lot! But I'm glad that they were so delicious and still arrived warm. They fulfilled my cravings and yes these were all for me, but I did share a few bites with my bf and niece. They're pretty good size and the insides of the cookies are what separates them from other cookies. Stuffed with different toppings. The green cookie was a lemony flavor and still good but is my least favorite. The other four were all scrumptious. The dulce de leche was hands down my favorite! I'll definitely order again as I want to try them all.

Pros: this restaurant is a pizza shop and a brewery at the same time which is great for those who want to have a great selection of drinks and food simultaneously. The food options are wide and very tasty for most people's taste pallets so everyone can enjoy food here, young and old. The beer is also a great selection which is common throughout the North Park beer co locations. Bathroom heater, nice and service here is even better. Cons: the biggest con here is trying to find some sort of parking nearby. The best way to find parking is to go to any other side streets nearby and try to find street parking. There's a small parking garage that would most likely feel pretty quickly next to the main patio area, but I don't know if this is strictly for North Park or for another nearby business since I did not park there, but I saw that that was an option. Verdict: this is a great pizza shop in brewery for all ages who want to enjoy the food and root beer! I recommend coming here again again if you're in the area.
