This experience was AMAZING! Made my first time on Hawaii more than I could have imagined!! We booked the morning tour. I had never snorkeled and as a lover of the ocean I couldn't wait to see it up close and personal! The crew and captain were INCREDIBLE and SO ACCOMMODATING!! They were educational, made sure everyone was taken care of at ALL times even while in the water. Even though the trip was for snorkeling, every time we would see whales while heading to and from the snorkeling spots the captain would stop so we could see the magical and beautiful mammals! He was so knowledgeable about the humpbacks and and we even had 2 SO close and stayed by our boat for a good 20 min! I was blown away!!! They had food upon boarding, veggies after first snorkeling spot, and lunch after 2nd spot along with drinks for purchase... the mai Thais were ONLY $2!!! You can't beat that!! They also provided reef safe sunscreen and anything needed for sea sickness. They surprised us with ice creams on our way back to dock which was such a nice treat! They went above and beyond, you can tell they not only care about your experience but also about the ocean and it's inhabitants. I 1000% would go again!!! We tipped $40 for the 2 of us but they honestly deserve to be recognized as the best experiences in Maui! Sunday 12/8/24 this was the best thing my great nephew said he did on his vacation. Although 9 years old and just an ok swimmer - he became a fish and got the hang of the snorkel gear super fast with the help of the crew. They all were exceptional the whole trip - the food was great 5 stars crowned with Hagen Daz bars after lunch - such a treat. We had a great time on our snorkel trip! The crew ans staff were all very friendly and super helpful. We went out to Molokini Crater for snorkling. We had about 1 and 1/2 hours of time of water time. Our 8 year old son loved the 25 foot slide. He couldn't get enough of it. We snorkled for about 45 min and then spent the other 45 minutes going down the slide. Our son was also diving into the ocean off the side of the boat. What we also loved was that my wife cannot swim and the crew helped her with a floatation device and noodle so she could snorkel and even go down the slide. Plenty of soft drinks and water and lunch was a nice sandwich and pasta salad. Friends of ours saw our pictures and videos and they booked this excursion as well. We will be back for another adventure when we are in Maui. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you Maui Snorkel and Slide. FYI we also did the dinner cruise with this same company and it was great! Had a great time on this dinner cruise. We loved the live entertainment as well and of course at sunset we were able to take some awesome pictures. Our 8 year old son had a great time on the cruise as well. The food was very good as well. We had the BBQ Ribs, Prime Rib and BBQ Chicken. All 3 were delicious. A 3 course dinner with 2 drinks. I don't typically write reviews on Yelp, but this tour was so fantastic that I wanted to let others know! We took the cruise with 3 young children and the crew was accommodating and helpful to ensure they had a great snorkeling experience. Our 8 year old got set up with a wet suit and out 5 year olds loved the Zayaks (great little boats where kids can see through the viewfinder without needing to wear the snorkel equipment). The snorkeling trip to Molokini was great, but the boat itself was super crowded compared to other boats. Be aware that they are an affiliate of Boss Frogs, so the workers there will try to tell you this is the best boat on Maui because they probably make a commission on it. Also, when I booked it, I was not told that I would have to pre-order a vegetarian meal, so when I got on the boat, neither I nor anyone in my party could eat any of the food available. The only thing that was available to us was a sweet green bean salad from a can. It was very disappointing, one would think that today's days would always be at least one vegetarian option. Also it's a cash bar. Most other cruises have that included. I would not recommend this when there are plenty of other better options out there. read more

My boyfriend and I had a memorable experience snorkeling on the Calypso. The captain and crew took us to Molokini to see the diverse fishes and Turtle town to see the sea turtles (obviously lol). They provided reef-safe sunscreen (super pasty though when you apply it on), light breakfast (pastries, cut fruit), beverages, coffee, snorkel gear, and a hot lunch (pulled pork sandwich, packaged salad, bag of chips). Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase but we didn't order any. A lot of the foods are Costco items, which I get it that they need to feed the masses but I wish it was a little bit more detailed. It was a perfect day trip and they also offer rentals and purchases available for items like a GoPro device, rash guards and wet suits available. A photographer is also in action so photos are available to purchase too if you're interested. I highly recommend this trip if you wanna see clear waters and the sea animals there :) read more

We took the molokini tour. They said the other beach was muddy. So we got double time at Molokini (that should be the plan every time). Molokini waters are super warm and the clearest I've ever seen in the ocean with plenty of fish. On the way back, they said they don't start whale tours until mid December. But we stopped to watch a whole group of whales that kept breaching. They let us sit and get pictures and videos pretty much until the whales stopped breaching. Even on dedicated whale tours, you won't necessarily get that opportunity. read more

HOLY FREAKING AMAZING!!!!! This was all the exclamation points. Undoubtedly one of the coolest things I've ever done. From the beginning: Check in was a little disorganized. Felt like a lot of standing around waiting for things to get started. And it's EARLY, so it felt a tad frustrating to be there in the wee hours for seemingly nothing. Once we were on the boat, though, all was well. We found seats without a problem and breakfast was plentiful and well executed. They even had sausage and eggs, not just a Costco continental spread. (It's pretty windy in the harbor - a sweatshirt and maybe long pants are a must!) And then the snorkeling - the snorkeling! Everyone was outfitted with gear and, after the offering of a Snorkeling 101 course, they let us loose! Molokini Crater was .... yeah, I have no words. Epic. Other-worldly. Surreal. Magical. Exotic fish swimming all around you, with every shade of blue and green deluging your senses with beauty and splendor. It was decently crowded - there were at least 7-8 other boats there - but everyone is mindful of everyone else, and the place is enormous. The water wasn't cold (not WARM, mind you, but not cold) and my husband and I paddled around the entire alloted hour. Next up was Turtle Town. The water was noticeably colder here, but the space is a LOT bigger. There were also less tours here, so we definitely had lots of room to spread out. Swimming among turtles was ... yeah, no words again. Best. Thing. Ever. Lunch was organized, plentiful, and delicious. Oh, they also had unlimited (nonalcoholic) drinks, tons of snacks throughout the whole trip, and ice cream bars at the end. You definitely don't have to worry about getting hungry. Two more things of note: their onboard photographer was fantastic. I highly recommend skipping the rental underwater camera and just purchasing his pictures. They are incredible quality, and the same price. Finally, although this is a billed as a snorkeling adventure (and it is), if you're traveling in February, YOU WILL SEE WHALES. I lost count of how many spouts we saw, as well as several beautiful dives and tail flips. I cannot recommend this cruise enough. read more

We had an amazing time with this company. Before we even left. They let someone join our group, because they had missed their excursion. It was all in the same company. There were 90 people in our group, but the boat could hold 150 people. The food was good and the crew was excellent. I was disappointed in the lack of fish to see, but later found out they were all under the boat. Turtle Town was awesome getting to see and swim with them.
