(possible hippy trap) They are still called automart on maps…read morebut in the office they say commercial tire. Long story short they left a set of pliers in my engine compartment (dangerous) and never tightened the coil pack on the spark plug #7 Where the misfire came from. And three weeks to do spark plugs waited a week to be seen. Told them before hand it was a misfire. The mechanic scott said he would have his assessment done in an hour and a half. Finally heard back from him the next day. Said it was in fact a misfire, and Suggested spark plugs. He said it would cost 800$ but I was In a hurry to leave town and go on a trip for Christmas. Then came the three week wait. Three weeks to change spark plugs. The first week was expected, but after ten days I started calling. They always stalled me and said it was next on the list and that they would call me in the afternoon. They never would. happened 3-4 times. Finally at week two they had finally LOOKED at it they said. ONLY LOOKED. At this point most other shops weren't taking new customers because of the holidays so I was stuck with them. so they tell me they would have to order the parts (spark plugs) and that they would be there in two days. A week later of playing the same one sided game of phone tag, I became so fed up I told them my friend had kicked me out of his house and that I would be coming to sleep in my car tomorrow. The next morning they called and said my truck was ready They told me they hadn't been able to fix the problem and that the misfire was worse than before. They drove it around, even took sensor readings. So when I finally took it home and went in to look. There was a pair of large expensive looking specialty pliers (which were returned) just floating around the engine compartment. And the problem that couldn't be fixed??? A loose screw on the coil pack above the spark plug. Everyone in town said good things and I still believe them to be decent mechanics. They just don't have the time to cover their workload and make excuses for it instead of turning away customers. Heard they might have changed owners too so most of the praise might be unwarranted. Go to jimmy the mobile mechanic or Carl on the other side of town. Way better

AJ, who I think is the owner, was super welcoming and took 20+ minutes to give the car a once-over to confirm I was safe to drive it as-is for the 350 mile roundtrip. Yep, buncha indicator lights but nothing urgent. Topped off the oil just to be on the safe side. Didn't. Charge. Me. A. Thing. An honest mechanic is hard to find...actually wish I lived closer to Willits so I could take my car here every time!

This included, but was not limited to, diagnosing and replacing the front brakes; replacing the front structs (with shock absorbers) and the rear struts (with shock absorbers) assemblies; the rear wheel hub repairs; the service of the transmission and change of the transfer case fluid; and, also the evaporative emission system diagnosis; and replacement of heating ventilation blower fan. In addition, I have all of my oil changes done here; except when I traveling long distances where the mileage accrues. In each instance, Onward Auto Repair articulated to me in a highly informative manner for each thing which was at issue; and provided qualified reasoning for what I should consider. Low pressure, but with all of the skills, training, expertise, knowledge of the best of the best vehicle repair mechanics. I have driven over one million millions and I have resided in a score of locations, in several states. Even when I move from this area, I will make an appointment and bring my vehicle here. It is not that other mechanics aren't qualified; it is that they simply do not have all of the expertise. With all of its diagnostic equipment, which is extensive, Onward Auto Repair can do every type of vehicle analysis, which encompasses several hundreds of types of vehicle issues. This repair shop makes very formal written estimates, with extensive verbal explanations so that I can fully comprehend what the repair entails and why it should be highly considered. In addition, where appropriate, Onward Auto Repair will take Photographs of things which cannot be seen by the vehicle owner when parts are removed under the vehicle lift, whereupon an analysis is made as to those things which need repair(s) and/or replacement(s) of parts. Outside of a vehicle dealership's vehicle repair center, I know of no other vehicle repair shop that would be able to make the analysis of any given vehicle item that Onward Auto Repair. Even the prices are substantially less than a new vehicle dealer's repair prices. I am certain that my vehicle will be in qualified condition for at least 600,000 miles. I do have my transmission fluid changed every 60,000 miles, which also contributes the longevity of my vehicle, and I only use my vehicle brakes about ten percent of what most other vehicle operators do. While this ensures that any gas powered vehicle I drive will get at least 600,000 miles on it, it is the professional support I have received at Onward Auto Repair which ensures that this will occur. I leave with smile each time I depart from this repair shop.
