I built my own PC from parts, for example. Recently I came across an issue that, try as I might, I could not solve. For about two weeks, I ran every test I knew of, searched the Internet for ideas, wiped and reinstalled the HD, all to no avail. Lacking options, I brought my PC into the local shop, Saba Solutions, due to it's good reviews here and elsewhere. They did not disappoint. While it did take several days, the shop was able to diagnose the issue and fix it, all the while providing daily feedback via email. It is service you will not get at the chain shops like Geek Squad. Then, when I went to pick up my newly-repaired PC, Saba charged me a price that was maybe 1/3 what I expected to pay. Don't be put off by the small storefront and utilitarian interior. This shop knows it's stuff and the price is right.

He installed Windows 10 without my permission and wanted to charge me 500 for that! After I refused the bill, he uninstalled the Windows 10 and didn't reinstall my Windows 7 back (and I lost all my data). He finally charged me $175 for diagnosing my computer(the price menu shows $45 for diagnostics in the store). After I declined to pay $175 for only diagnosing my computer and wanted my computer back, he picked up a hammer to threaten my life(see the picture attached! Horrible!) I called 911, the police officers said they can only protect my life but they cannot do anything with bill disagreement. In the end I had to pay $175 to get my pc back, and I will sue the store once the court reopens.

I was so frustrated with it, my son and I share this laptop and he is starting his college forms. So I admit it was me that hit the laptop out of frustration. Laptop went dead.... I asked around to several parents if they knew a good computer person that could fix a laptop. My friend recommended him. We talked on the phone briefly. I had brought the Laptop to him late on a Saturday afternoon, and it was back in my hands by Wednesday. The price was right, too. The shop charges $70 for their service, plus parts and warranties their work. I won't hesitate to use him again.
