I had been using this company for years. If you can get the owner to come out he knows what he is…read moredoing. After using this company a long time he grew and started to use incompetent people who did not know what they were doing. Over charging and not even getting the job done. When I spoke with the owner about what had happened in a nice way by explaining what had happened. Not asking for money back or anything. I thought he should know what the people were doing that were representing his name, from one business owner to another. He basically told me not to contact him again! WOW what small business has enough that they can lose repeat business like this? I was trying to help him out and hoping that he would send out a different person the next time for competent work. I was shocked by this kind of reply. As a business owner you want people to be satisfied with the work and give you referrals and keep calling you. That was clearly the beginning of the end for this outfit. Really surprised they are still in business! I would never call them again.

I'm a first-time customer of Chapline Computers and couldn't recommend them more highly. I have a…read moreDell desktop computer that just wouldn't turn on one day.I first called a office supply store down the street who told me that it would take 2-3 days to diagnose the problem which seemed reasonable to me. Then I gave Chapline computers a call. He also told me it would probably be 2-3 days. However he was able to give me a probable diagnosis over the phone with a corresponding cost estimate (under $100). I decided to drop the computer off at Chapline. Instead of the 2-3 day wait I was expecting, he asked me if I had a few minutes, proceeded to take the computer apart and replace the power supply and send me home with a repaired computer 15 minutes later - all for less than $100! As I earn my living using this computer every day, I was extremely happy with this good old-fashioned, excellent customer service. Although I'm sure they can't offer that sort of turnaround time (or price) on most repair jobs I will nevertheless be using them for all my computer repair needs in the future.

I hired Chapline Electronics to service my computer system on two separate occasions. Phil (owner)…read morevisited my home office and repaired the system without incident. At the conclusion of each visit, he was paid in full. There was no conflict of any kind between us. Since then, my computer system has had the same issue. I have called and left multiple voicemails; e-mailed several times; and I even sent a physical letter to ask for help. I have given more than ample time (several months) for a response. There has been no response of any kind. In any business relationship between a customer and a business owner, trust is a key ingredient. Phil Chapline broke this trust when he suggested that I contact him if future problems developed. When I needed help, he chose to ignore a paying customer who he had no conflict with. As a result, I definitely would not recommend Chapline Electronics...can't trust this business.
