I was greeted as I came around towards the front desk, they had a couple gentlemen working when I went. One was organizing items and the other was working the register. My first time visiting Catholic Charities Thrift Shop near downtown Fresno today. I have not gone…read morethrifting in a long time. I have some special (to me) items that I want to donate but I wanted to see the shop first. Everything was very nice and organized and items were displayed well, and treated respectfully. I could tell the staff takes a lot of pride in their work. As one other reviewer shared, this is also a store that is serving the community. While I was there I observed the staff providing clothing and other items directly to those in need, (via a voucher -so all very well organized). I made a small purchase and the check out team carefully wrapped up my 4 glasses to ensure they made it home safely and I was very touched by their kindness. I hope others will consider shopping here and also donating their treasures to Catholic Charities. I still have quite a few things from my parents home that I have had a hard time letting go of, but after visiting, I feel the items will be appreciated and handled kindly and may help make a difference.

The couple that greeted us were very nice! They were actually cleaning, packing and painting. They were getting ready to move to a new location. My dad looked at the display case and it was exactly what he was looking for. We told the couple we wanted to buy it and they loaded it onto our truck bed. They even strapped it down for us too. They were already closed but still allowed us to look around. They had lots of cool stuff to look at especially for a collector like my dad. It was like a candy shop for him. We spent about 45 minutes there looking at everything they had. Everything was organized room by room and clean. My dad was able to find a couple of things he wanted. I will definitely stop by their new location. I know my dad will be going there soon.
