i really hate to rate this antique shop 1 star but i was very disappointed based on the description…read moreof how things are "curated" for this shop & reviews below. i had imagined something entirely different. i have to say, staff here are ready to help for the most part but it was really hard looking through things. most sections were hard to squeeze through because of huge furniture items or pile ups of heavy unorganized junk that were stacked in the way. i was looking for vintage bags & found one section at the very back that had amazing, quality vintage clothing & handbags but what a mess! the bags were wedged in the back behind so much packed in clothing falling off the shelves to the floor behind crates which was hard to get behind. when i pulled out one of the bags by doing some yoga twists & poses, i was finally able to reach a vintage dooney & bourke for $450 in fair condition. not mint, excellent or even good condition - BUT FAIR - so the price point of $450 on that vintage dooney bag was ridiculous. everything felt dusty & grimy. i found 3 boxes of 1970's madame alexander dolls & had to open each box to see what was inside & one of them had a DEAD SPIDER on the doll's dress right when i lifted the lid. there were only a few sections that were well organized with figurine displays but everywhere else you had to hunt for things behind paintings placed on the floor (fire hazard). for example, i found a 12" composition shirley temple doll listed for $129 laying behind a large framed painting. if i hadn't moved the painting, i wouldn't have seen the doll laying there. & that describes how messy this place is. also, because of how the doll was just laying there, you'd think it was worth FIVE DOLLARS, not $129.00. i need to mention the music. i'm not usually bothered w/antique stores playing appropriate music for their shop but when we came in this day, some disturbing psychedelic chanting music was playing & it was BLARING through the speakers. this place isn't curated well at all. additionally, i left feeling like i needed a shower & was traumatized by the type of music playing.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The selection was extensive, and varied. Several meandering rooms…read morewith widely divergent aesthetics and tastes made Palm & Olive fun and memorable. Signage, books, ceramics, clothes, typical odds and ends and other knickknacks only found in antique stores, along with local art all makes for a great experience. The only drawback is the elevated prices.

You can find vintage clothing, and furniture, decor. They have dressing rooms which is great. So many thrift stores no longer have dressing rooms. I went for their clothing swap which was a success! I also bought the cutest purse from their store. The staff was very kind and welcoming. I will def go back!

My first time there, I went for their first Sunday Swap. Since I thrift a lot and needed to declutter, I brought mugs, wallets, books and baseball caps. Other people brought clothing, shoes, mini cakes, pothos plant, a basket of veggies and sourdough loaves. I just found out that morning because of my friend and fellow yelper, Sally sharing about it. Upon arriving, it did not look like it was big, but this place was massive (to me) and a MUST visit. It is absolutely cozy and darling, with 2 seating areas and plenty of space to walk and shop. It is a second hand, curated vintage and consignment shop. They do have a buy, sell, trade program even on housewares! The owner, I'm sorry, it's been a week, Lijah I believe her name is was so kind and cool. At the entrance is the buy, sell trade desk, they have a little coffee stand, some tables with chairs, a beautiful seating area with brown, tufted leather seating, the most adorable dressing room and plenty of racks of clothing to look through as well as handbags placed strategically throughout the store. However, if you are a Vintage Dooney & Bourke or Vintage Coach collector, they have a few bags in the back. The prices are fair since they are a curated second hand shop and not a thrift shop. Not only that, they also have events every weekend and are celebrating their 6th anniversary! Definitely a must stop by guys! After I went home, I put my sourdough loaf to use!! Thanks Sammy and I met the other swappers who are creatives like me, one just had an all denim fashion show at Fresno State Vintage Days. I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to fashion nowadays, but being a floater at the incredible and comparable Gottschalks for 4 years gave me knowledgeable on expensive dishware, luggage, household goods, clothing and all things dooney & bourke, liz claiborne and brahmin.

Yoshi Now and Yoshi Vintage are located in downtown Fresno, near Chinatown. Yoshi Vintage is mostly antiques, old tools, art pieces, and had some truly gorgeous and unique furniture items. Right when you walk in you're greeted by a wave of nostalgia, courtesy of Wheaties boxes and 1980's Coca Cola trinkets. Yoshi vintage is so stocked up with amazing items that I could've spent hours and hours in here, but my children are getting antsy. I did purchase a couple of kitchen items and almost bought an antique radio. I did put the radio on my Christmas list; so fingers crossed that Santa surprises me. On the other side of the wall is Yoshi Now which is mostly collector items and vintage clothing, retro furniture, and decor items. This is the perfect place to get something for both a classic toy collector and a lover of London Fog vintage jackets. They also have a ton of amazing vintage T-shirts. That is all the rage right now with Gen Z. Both of these stores are awesome and definitely worth the trip. I dare you to walk out of here and not have at least one or two items in your hand as you leave the store.
