    The Works!!!
    Mark M.

I swung by one day and parked on the street. I like coming to this village and wanted to end Winter Break with a bang. I enjoyed the bread and wanted a complete pizza, which is why I chose the Works. This masterpiece contained rustic pepperoni, red onions, olives, wild Greek oregano, green peppers, Mozzarella, Cremini mushrooms, and Spicy Italian sausage. It was a mixture of the best toppings and I was completely satisfied with this feast that I ended up enjoying throughout the week during the first week of classes!

Fantastic service! Our waitress was super on top of everything. Food was delicious, restaurant ambiance was clean and servers were friendly. They validate parking as well. Will absolutely be back.

This place must be near death. Arrive on Saturday at 7:45 PM. Ask for a table for 4. 15-20 minute wait, I am told. Not because the place is full...it's half empty. The reason. They have one waiter. So I ask if I can order a beer while we wait. I'm told no. What!? Yeah...no bartender either. WTF? How does a restaurant stay in business if you literally refuse to pour a beer for a thirsty customer. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a restaurant. And I'm a loyal CPK customer. Been coming here for years. My kids love it. But the private equity purchase is a disaster. Probably the last time I'll ever take the family to CPK...sad. Just no longer viable.

Meeting friends for dinner and conversation. Saturday night at 6 PM - but no problem getting a table with no reservation. Parking in the garage is free with validation - nice touch. We started with white corn guac and chips ($9) as a shared appetizer. Probably the best guac I have had in any restaurant including some high end Mexican restaurants. Only gripe is there are pieces of jalapeño that can make it a bit hot for the Gringo palate. Next we shared the Margarita pizza ($17). Usually I am not a fan of thin crust pizza but this was quite good. For my entree I ordered a half BBQ chopped chicken salad ($15). Even the half salad is huge and too big for me to finish. Really good. We had a table next to the picture window overlooking Ventura Blvd. Lovely. Good food, good service, lovely ambiance and free parking. Not fancy but great value.

Came on a Sunday. The biggest negative were all the kids. There were about six different tables of families with 5 year old children. Come on parents, don't let your kids scream and run around. The people I came with said its always like that on the weekends. They said its better to come during the week. Other than that, everything was good. Atmosphere was great with the big windows. We all liked everything we got. You park in parking garage which is $2 per hour. CPK validates for 1.5 hours.

Came here for lunch today. Got the best service ever from the manager Josie and Darvin, the waiter. I ordered the new tostada pizza and it was delicious as was the lunch special with half salad and half sandwich. Josie and Darvin, thank you for such wonderful service. This location is starting to become one of my favorites.

5 stars for sure. Came on a Tuesday around 7pm...the place was chill, not busy. It's on the upper level with a nice curved layout and natural light coming in, which felt really good. Got the complimentary bread to start. We had the cauliflower buffalo, BBQ chicken pizza, and salmon plate. Cauliflower hit the spot, especially dunked in bleu cheese and ranch. Pizza was tasty as always. Salmon was fresh, just could use a little more seasoning or sauce. Service was top notch...friendly and on point. Definitely coming back.

Hadn't been here for a long time The food is actually good and the appetizers are even better. But for some reason this place won't become a "The Spot". For one thing there area lots of kids. That said, the Martini that I had was fairly good. The Margarita that my wife had was very good. The space has a decent vibe , you can watch the traffic on Ventura Boulevard. All in all, we enjoy the place. I did order two piazzas to take to my son. Will I go there again, yes, I will.

This location gave me and my husband excellent customer service. The moment you walk in, you are greeted and it feels like a welcoming environment. Our waitress was amazing in helping us out with our questions about the menu. Jack gave a friendly and professional vibe as a manager. I can see he cares not only about his customers but his staff as well. That's what every customer, like me, likes to see. Because of Jack we are definitely coming back to this location. He is phenomenal! Thank you Encino location ! The food came out fresh, hot, and delicious as well!!

With people coming from all directions, this CPK has become a fairly regular meeting place for me and my family. Today we were there to celebrate my mom's birthday. One of the things I love about CPK is the consistency from location to location. Once you've had a dish at one CPK, you can count on it tasting the same at other locations. Today I placed an order for one of my go-to lunches at CPK; the lunch duo with a 7-in wild mushroom pizza and a small Thai crunch salad. As always, both were delicious. For dessert we ordered a always delicious butter cake and a piece of key lime pie. If you haven't had the better cake at CPK, your seriously missing out. One thing that made today's visit stand out was the service. My mom had received an emailed coupon for a free dessert for her birthday. CPK requires your phone number to verify that you were the coupon recipient. She gave them her phone number but they couldn't find her account. So the waiter asked the manager to help out. Armed with my mom's email address and phone number, the manager was quickly able to determine that the phone number on my mom's account didn't match the number she had given her. With that knowledge, the problem was quickly resolved, my mom got her free birthday dessert, and she won't have a problem using CPK discounts like this again. If you're in the area, stop by this CPK. It's light, bright, and consistently good.

I love CpK Shrimp Kung pao spaghetti! We tried the strawberry cooler today too. We also got pepperoni pizza. If you sign up with their rewards you can redeem coupons or points which is nice as a regular customer.

Unfortunately, this morning's brunch was disappointing. I had the Elevated Avocado Toast (description on menu: Our dough with house seasoned avocado spread caprese: topped with diced tomatoes and mozzarella pearls). There was nothing elevated about this toast. It was a basic bread slightly toasted, barely enough avocado spread to cover each piece of toast. Plus, the avocado spread tastes premade from a bag, not fresh. There were more onions than tomatoes. The "mozzarella pearls" was regular mozzarella that was chopped up. I added eggs on top, sunny side up, they were cold. My husband had the Three Eggs Any Style (description: Served with 2 strips of bacon and homestyle fried potatoes with onions). He was given the wrong potatoes. The kitchen gave him papa freitas instead. The pancakes were decent. Our waitress was lovely as usual. We somehow always get the same waitress when we go. I hope they can use this as a learning opportunity for the future. We will be sticking to their dinner menu for now on.

The famed lobster appetizer was not for us. Bits of lobster floating in a lot of butter didn't excite us. Excellent salads. The other appetizers however, were excellent. We've been twice now had had a lot of their menu. The pork was outstanding. The rack was very good, but I've had even better racks elsewhere. The "famous" banana cream pie was good, not great, but so huge and rich it must be shared. At $30, it's maybe also a tad overpriced. The bar makes a healthy-sized martini that's worth its high-end price tag. Great wine list with wonderful advice and good-sized sample pours, even though I only drink one glass and my husband doesn't drink at all. This is a good place to splurge on a good wine. I've mentioned the above-par service. Informative and cheery, without trying to become your best friend. They went out of their way to assure us a table in a very quiet spot, due to my deafness. Very attentive without being overbearing. Their suggestions seem honest, rather than just trying to upsell everything. The place is huge and gorgeous. Flatteringly, if dimly, lit, it lends itself to romantic dinners and anniversaries. In our case, we like to have a rather luxurious and romantic and lengthy meal perhaps once a month, and feel very fortunate to be able to do so. It's divided into several smallish areas and the effect is rather cozy and intimate. It's chic and stylish, so PLEASE folks, dress for it? It especially saddens me to see a nicely dressed young woman, who obviously spent some time on herself beforehand, with a guy ( I'll guess her husband ), in shorts and a tee shirt. I say, for a place like this, where you could easily spend four bills on a good meal for two, with drinks, management, bring back a dress policy! And enforce it with a reminder email they you do so. Is a collared shirt and a pressed pair of khakis too much to ask for?

First, our friend asked for a glass of pretty standard white wine, was told that she should try something else as that one was not available. There's music that's lively without being overbearing, and the staff is uniformly friendly. But... You have to order at the bar and, though they have runners to bring your food, you do have to hunt them down for anything after the delivery (extra ketchup, etc). While this isn't my favorite system at my age, to be fair, whatever the owners are saving on staff is reflected in the prices, which are absolutely below most places in the area for food that is good-quality and drinks that are generously poured. So yes, my wife's Espresso Martini was served in a deep-bellied Belgium beer glass, and my whiskey neat was a hefty pour. Yay!! For food, I ordered the Smash Burger, which is served with melted American, grilled onions and the house version of Russian dressing (as well as pickles, which I deleted). The burgers had a nice, smashed crust while remaining juicy, the cheese was properly melted, and the grilled onions had a terrific caramelized sweetness, while the house sauce was very well-balanced: ketchupy and creamy without being too mayonnaise-heavy. A very good smasher. My wife ordered the Big Texan Burger because she wanted cheddar and frizzled onions and BBQ sauce, though she deleted the bacon and pork belly that are normally included. This, too, was a very good burger: cooked to a proper and pleasing medium-rare and well-seasoned, with a good, fresh flavor to the beef. The onion rings were less successful, which are of the beer batter type, but seemed to be a commercial, frozen product. The coating was browned but not crisp, and the flavor was relatively nondescript. We didn't really eat them, and wouldn't order them again. And so, to me, The Tipsy Cow is a bit of a mixed bag: reasonably priced decent food and reasonably priced, generously-poured drinks -- but in a mostly self-serve environment that incrementally loses its appeal in relation to your age and your dining circumstances. Certainly worth a try, but you've gotta be in the right mood.

I really try to like Tipsy Cow a lot more than I do. And, I have friends that love it here, so I…read moretry to really love it. That said, I think it's just meh. The food is just not that great. It's just "ok". For some reason I remember it being so much better but the food is just not good.

I had one of the best dining experiences I've ever had, it wasn't only because of the food but also…read morebecause the incredible customer service from the staff. Food; The food was delicious. I got the jalapeño burger (medium well) and chili cheese fries. Not only was the burger cooked to perfection but the chili cheese fries were up to par with the burger. Customer service; From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel genuinely welcome. Judith was our server and she made sure we had everything we needed. Her attention to detail was amazing. She knew whose food belonged to who. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others.

I know, so specific. But I was HANGRY, pretty much murderous, after getting stuck from the Getty onward, kicking myself for not having stopped around Sawtelle or Westwood to eat. So yah, great stopping point. Moving on - food, awesome. I got the blue cheese burger, husband got the regular sized chili fries (great portion, the large looks like it can feed two people) and we shared onion rings. And the toddler got the crispy chicken bites with sweet potato fries kids meal. All satisfied. Hanger abated. Now we can get on our merry way on up the 101. Server was nice, and grabbed me some ranch upon asking. Ambience is great, too: lots of seating. You can either sit inside, or an outer covered patio area, or an outdoor area where you're basically in the parking lot but surrounded by tall shrubbery and bistro lights with heat lamps. Perfect for our kid who likes to randomly scream his head off. Thanks, to the Valley location of the Stand for existing, and for staving off our hanger.
