I called for an appointment and they took me the day I called. Having lived in Dennis for a while I never noticed it tucked away in Patriots Square Plaza. I had a gel manicure and they used a liquid remover that was less harsh much quicker than the regular acetone and foil often used at other salons. The place is small but not an issue for me. Absolutely awful. I asked for my nails to be cut longer and he sinply just said "No" and cut them short. I shoukd have known fron the moment we walked in there and there wasnt a soul. one of my french tips looks like its supposed to be white, another one has a straight line, another one looks like its supposed to be pink. My real nail on my index finger is digging into my skin and burning the way he cut it, and under my thumb finger i am bleeding and it also burns. While he was buffing them he chipped the nail on my pinky finger, stopped, looked at it, patted it, and then kept going with the same aggression. Nothing got fixed, so learn from my mistakes and do not spend your money here. read more

I definitely recommend this spot! I got a great gel mani-pedi for a wedding and was so happy with it. The polish has not started to peel/chip/lift and it's been over a week. I also got some simple nail art on my fingers that my nail tech did a perfect job on :) I've gotten so many compliments on them! After a week the clear coat peeled right off of four nails, I went back the ninth day to get fixed and they couldn't take me, three days later I got there to get fixed and clearly the woman was not happy to fix my nails. My girlfriend had her nails done here last week while out on the cape. She paid almost double what she normally pays for a fill and left with her nails bleeding. The edges of her fingers are cut up and the next day her gel polish chipped which never usually happens. Her nails are off shaped and bumpy. The shop was convenient to the stores nearby. I went in for a dip and a couple of hours later came out with my nails done, twice. By what I can observe, the male technician finished my nails. The top coat was tacky and sticky. He also didn't smooth out the cuticles area to make them neat. He said something to the other female and she took over and taken off a couple of layers and reapply the dip and top coat. I was charged $55 and I also tip a 20%. That evening, I looked at my nails and noticed my thumb nail top clear coat has half pealed away. If the shop wasn't far away from me, I would be there the next day. Lesson learned. Julie at California Nails Patriot Square does beautiful nail art that you'll be happy to wear. She even did this beautiful flower free hand! Julie, Jacquelyn and Ti's manicures always last a good long time. They apply the gel polish in thin coats that are durable. This is the Asian operated nail salon in the same shopping plaza as Stop & Shop and CVS. My 5 year old & I came here for nail services (I had a mani/pedi - she had polish changes and designs on her fingers & toes). DD was very happy with her services - but hey - she's 5! I got a good - 4 star pedicure - $35 for the mani/pedi combo. The lady Thuey who did the pedi and most of the mani was great - but they swapped in another (young, recent college grad) nail tech to polish my fingers) - and it did NOT work well. The top coat showed bubbling and shrinkage almost immediately and my right thumb chipped moments after I left. Had I not had my (now bored and antsy) 5 year old with me I would have asked for a re-polish and I am sure they would have been happy to help me - so that's kinda my own fault. So meanwhile - 4 stars for the pedi and my kids polish changes. 2 stars for good mani with a lousy polish job. Ask for Thuey (I am sorry If I spelled that wrong). She does good work. Services including tips (which must be in cash) for both of us came to $59.00 - not bad at all. read more

This is the third time this has happened to me here, but they close earlier than their listed store hours. I showed up at 6:25pm for a quick regular manicure and was turned away because they already cleaned up for the night. She said they close early Saturdays, but their signs show closing every night at 7pm. Not great customer service and wouldn't recommend. read more

I've had my nails done here numerous times but this time was awful. The toe nails were cut at a funny angle and too short. The polish had a bubble in one toe and ripples on 4. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much for one of those quick, no need for appointment type nail salons. However my 2 daughters and I had a great experience. The staff was very friendly. The place was extremely clean and all instruments sanitary, files and buffers were all a one client use only and came out of a sealed bag. Each of us had the same technician start to finish for our visit having both pedicures and manicures done. It was a nice treat on our rainy vacation day. read more

Every time I have been here I have had a good experience. Prices are the same as every other place around. When you can get in here when it isn't busy it's great and you get a good quality mani and/or pedi, but watch out if it's busy, they rush, like any place would. The owner is nice and friendly. Worst gel manicure ever! The gel is in between my nails and skin and over my cuticles. The color bubbled and my nails look lumpy. There is gel under my nails..it's already lifting in places...24 hours later.. I showed the owner and he said "you picked bad color" as they were closing, he offered for me to come back the next day, unfortunately I work for a living which is why I was in there on a Sunday. $30 down the drain. Hands down the best pedicure on the Cape (& I'm a year round local)! First let me say that the interior is very basic but always clean. At first glance it appears to be your everyday in and out express salon, but it's the experience that will have you feeling like you're at a high end spa. The massage chairs are the best I've ever been in, seriously. The nail technicians (I've had 3 different staff members provide service) are so detailed and thorough. I never feel rushed. Got what I thought was a great mani- pedi before going to a wedding last weekend. However, the next day I had a painful infection on my thumb and on one of my nail beds of my toes! I did not make the connection then - 6 days later and the infection has not healed . The doctor told me when he saw my thumb- Did you get a manicure recently? Just moved to Branson West and happened to see DaVi/California Nails in Nixa. ( DaVi was in our previous city) I called on Friday for an appointment on Saturday and was told no appointment was needed and to just "walk-in". When I arrived , there were only two customers and they told me they didn't accept walk ins. I told them about my call the day prior and was told if I waited an hour, they would make an exception. If I could give it NO stars I would. They do a HORRIBLE job, and they clearly dilute the polish which causes it to chip easily. It doesn't matter who does your nailS, but there is an "older gentleman" that I would definately not go to. He rushes and gets polish where it shouldn't be, and if you ask him to clean it off he acts like he's doing you a favor. I don't know if anyone from the Board of Health from the Town of Dennis ever checks in on them, but it's also pretty dirty. For more than 20 years, I have had acrylic nails, then tried gel and shellac, and most recently NuGenesiis/ "dip". I am a tolerant person and have seldom had a complaint. I tried this place on the recommendation of a friend, because my old place has become very busy and raised their prices too much. I made an appointment for a pedicure and a "dip". Julie did a fine job on my pedicure, then told me only another operator could do the "dip." The choice of colors was quite limited. The operator seemed reluctant and sullen, even though the operators on either side of her were friendly. I felt she did not want to do the job. She was slow and very rough with the emery board and power tools, causing me to bleed on one finger and to hurt on all fingers. She tore up my cuticles and created new hangnails. Finally, after two hours, when what should have been a treat became too much of a punishment, I stood up and left without the final coat. All I wanted was to wash my poor hands and apply soothing cream, over and over. I would not recommend this place for a "dip", although that is now my preferred nail treatment...somewhere else. read more
