I made a 3 PM appointment quite a while ago. I wanted a healthy trim and consult for a future style and perhaps, color. After my appointment was made, I was able to secure a second appointment for my lashes, down the road. It was nearby, for 4:30. I called to inquire if I could make a 4:30 appointment at another venue nearby. I was told my healthy trim should not take more than an hour. The day of my appointment, I arrived on time and was warmly greeted by the owner. She told me my specialist was running behind. She acknowledged my timeframe and promised to make it work. She made me a lovely cup of tea. 20+ minutes into my wait, I could see the stylist was working quite slow and had another 15+ minutes to go. There were a few other issues of concern I prefer not to address here (but had discussed with the owner). I got up and told the girl at the counter I was concerned about timing and quite frankly, at that point, I was ready to leave. She apologized and said someone called in sick so they were short staffed. I thanked her for being upfront and suggested next time, they let customers know. Not only did I get a warm welcome as I walked in the door, from everyone there, but Donna took such time and care with me, She TRANSFORMED my hair! I showed her a picture of my favorite haircut from a few years ago and she was able to duplicate it to a tee and even better! If I could give Dayan at Salon Justine 6 stars I would!! I committed a hair color sin and used a box color which was terrible and left my hair super brassy. I've never been to the Cape, so had no experience with stylists up there at all. Salon Justine was recommended to me and I gave her a call. She was fun to talk to on the phone and seemed to listen well. I decided to go with her for my hair and makeup for the wedding. We had no time for a trial, so it might have been scary, but she and Donna put me at ease immediately. It was early when they came to my Airbnb, because the wedding was at noon and I was supposed to be there at 10:45 for pictures. Justine did my hair, an updo which stayed in all day and night (even with some pretty wild dancing), and Donna did my makeup, which stayed on all day and night also. I was delighted with the results, and felt pretty. I got a ton of compliments, both at the wedding and from pictures. I really couldn't have been happier and working with them was a true delight. Recently had my hair done as part of a wedding party by Justine and crew, and could not have been happier with the final product! More importantly, the bride was completely happy with her hair, which I can't say happens very often! Justine and Casey did all the bridal party and were attentive and took the time to do our hair the way we wanted, and didn't skimp on anything - my hair was still perfect at 2 am! Justine will come to your venue for weddings, which was the best! Much more relaxed and with 2 stylists working at same time, we were all done on time. Fantastic little salon! I found them via Yelp, and they were kind enough to give me a same-day haircut appointment, which was great since I'm only in town a few days, and realized I had a small window of opportunity while my baby was napping at his GG's house. Darcy, the stylist who was free to see me, is smart and savvy and kind, with a ton of experience doing hair and a great attitude. I sometimes joke that I've been "hairdressered" one time too many, and that sometimes makes me nervous about visiting a new salon. Being hairdressered generally means that no matter what you ask for, the hairdresser gives you the cut that they want to give you. To be fair, sometimes this is a matter of miscommunication, as much of the time they're trying to figure out what you're asking for, and how to get your hair to achieve that look... and then some of the time, when you're a little picky, or a little less knowledgeable than you think you are, you give too many directions and they follow the ones they need to follow. Realistically, all of those things can lead you to feel as though you've left the salon minus a few inches you wanted to keep, or with the wrong color, or the wrong cut entirely. (Yep, all of these things have happened to me. Pretty sure the fault isn't just with the person behind the chair!) So when Darcy took a few moments in consultation with me to clarify what I was hoping for, that made me more comfortable. When she repeated back to me what she heard, and she got the important parts right, it made me feel totally at ease. When I realized they carry a product line I really love- Schwarzkopf- it made me feel like I've found the right place to come for my relatively infrequent salon visits! Good thing GG lives less than two miles away, right? The best part? Darcy did a great job, and I was able to get back before the baby woke up from his nap! I'd highly recommend this salon to anyone looking to change things up a little. read more

I booked an apt for a trim and color with Darcie (2nd time going to her specifically) and was quite pleased!! I travel off cape to go there and at the last minute I had to bring my 4mo old. The staff was amazing in helping tend to her while I got my color and cut. My hair was so unhealthy and this treatment was very long overdue. Darcie did an amazing job blending my natural color with some brighter blonde. Came out wonderful - I've gotten so many complements on it. Very happy and will definitely be going back to see her. This review is LONG overdue. I had my hair done by another salon in CO a week before my wedding and was really disappointed with the brassy, orange color that resulted - which can happen when you are going super blonde as I was trying to achieve for my wedding hair. I was going to just let it go, but the more I thought about it, the more I thought I needed to at least try and get the color corrected. Enter Salon Justine: I walked in the day of, explained my situation, i.e., that I was getting married in three days and needed a color correction pretty much ASAP, and Justine herself assessed my options, along with Monica (I'm pretty sure that is her name!). They got me in the studio within a few HOURS, and truly worked a miracle. The brassy orange roots were gone, replaced by the beautiful soft, light brown/dark blonde I was originally going for. Monica explained every step of the process to me and why she was doing it, and Justine came by to check on me every so often to make sure everything was going smoothly. I walked out of the salon feeling confident and beautiful for my wedding and my hair color that weekend was just perfect. Justine and her staff truly set the standard for quality customer service and personalized care. I only wish I lived on the Cape so I could get my hair done regularly by her team. I have followed my fave hairdresser Darcie, all over but by far this is the best salon ever. They attend to your every need. Darcie does the most amazing color work and cuts but I can honestly say that Justine and Melissa re amazing as well. The salon is fresh, vibrant and trendy- not an easy thing to find on the Cape I drive from Ct. and wait patiently for Saturdays when Darcie is available but it is always worth it. I have been having my hair done by Justine since 2004 - she came to my house and did my hair and my stepdaughters' hair for my wedding. Now my two young daughters have their hair done at Salon Justine too - we love them !!! They are very professional but also take the time to get to know every customer.
