Lushie is the perfect nail salon. It is so easy to secure an appt using the Booksy app. Cindy and Chelsie make me feel like a dear friend whenever I come in! The protocols and cleanliness are a top priority- in fact this was the ONLY service establishment I visited during Covid in 2020. Cindy even donated plexiglass screens she had experimented with for clients for me to use with my students when I returned as a teacher to in-person learning. My hands and feet take a beating during the summer gardening and frequent beach walks - but Lushie keeps me looking well cared for and fashionable! I strongly recommend avoiding this nail salon. I called and made an appointment for gel pedicure, and dip on my nails. I was surprised that they were able to get me right in as my regular salon was booked for the entire week. When I arrived and the technician began my pedicure, I informed them that I had a gel topcoat on top of my dip on my nails and they usually use the battery operated file drill to break the topcoat before applying the ethanol. The owner was very annoyed and asked one of the technicians to get the drill. She then stated that I did not make an appointment for gel pedicure. I expressed that I believe I did schedule a gel pedicure and she appeared frustrated. She then tried to convince me to just go ahead with the dip topcoat this time. I explained to her that I have had better luck with the gel topcoat as it is more durable. I then chose a color for my nails, not realizing that it had glitter in it. the technician told me that it did have glitter, and I asked her for the samples back. I had the samples for less than a minute and the owner came and asked me if I was done with them. I asked for one more minute and she rolled her eyes and walked away. I get it, I'm not a regular at this salon, but I am still a paying customer. When my technician did my pedicure, she never cleaned under toenails, or edges to check for ingrowns. As I was finally getting my dip done on my fingernails, the technician at the next desk was very insistent that the gel topcoat was not more durable. I felt very disrespected and uncomfortable throughout the whole visit. To top it off, there was constant chatter among the staff about other customers. Very unprofessional!! Will definitely not returned to this salon. read more

Worst pedicure ever! Chelsea gave me a pedicure - didn't file the rough spots on my feet, her massage could barely be felt, and she answered the phone 4 times during a 1/2 hour timeframe, never once washing her hands after handling the phone. She took her last call at the end of my time and left me sitting in the chair for 5 minutes. She could have easily had me go to the dryer instead of sitting there waiting. Won't go back and would recommend finding somewhere else to go. In response to your comments - I never once complained or asked to not have to pay for the appointments. I only thought we were entitled to the time I paid for. When we arrived, there were 45 minutes left in the appointment, but the pedicure Chelsea gave took less than 20 minutes given her time in answering the phone that you say "has to be answered." You never addressed the hygiene issue switching between the phone and my daughter's pedicure service. Chelsea never wore gloves. This is unacceptable and down right gross, never mind against COVID protocol. Shame on you! When I arrived at 2:48pm, Chelsea was at the reception desk and my daughter still in the pedicure chair. The pedicure was over. I requested the rest of the 2-3pm appointment (12 minutes) be used to at least file my daughters nails. I paid for a mani pedi and you charged me for an hour of time to do so. If Chelsea only takes 20 minutes to do the pedicure, and there are still more than 10 minutes left in the appointment, you don't think she could have taken 5 minutes to file her nails? When I asked, your response was "her next client is already here." Why should the 3:00pm appointment be started 5-10 minutes early when you have a client who has paid for that time? Poor customer service if you ask me. Had Chelsea been attentive, and given the pedicure service a full half hour as was paid for, I wouldn't be inclined to seek out another salon. We were taken care of as walk ins at Lovely Nails shortly after leaving yours. We were given proper attention even though they were very busy, and they fit us in no problem. They wanted our business and they worked hard to make sure we were taken care of. The entire manicure (start to finish - including polish) took 15 min. My pedicure took 25. I got a wonderful leg massage, and my calluses taken care of. Plus, they thanked us for our business and for coming in - something you, nor Chelsea did. My point is this - you charge people for the time, regardless of whether they show up or come late. No problem, I get it and I never made an issue of it. I called when we got unexpectedly delayed, knowing full well I'd be paying for the appointment I was missing. It shouldn't make a difference what time I called. I was being courteous by letting her know she didn't have to wait. When we got back into cell phone range, I called again, to say we were still running behind. Chelsea was rude on the phone, emphasizing that I'd be paying for the time anyway. I accepted this fact, but wanted to let her know we were still coming and not to fill her time or leave. Did I need to call? No, but I did. To give substandard service because a client was overcome by events and couldn't make it on time is unacceptable. Worse yet, to be rude and disrespectful when they show up is just bad business. Bottoms line - the pedicure was substandard and your cleanliness/hygiene protocol lacking. Your response and attitude are off base. You should be more worried about those aspects of your business than berating clients for coming late. After all, you're making them pay for it whether they show up or not. I guess that's what you have to do to be profitable, because providing good service just isn't in your wheelhouse. read more

I think this place is great. Have been many times in the past few years since they opened. I have also taken my daughter and she likes it as well. They staff is very friendly and I've never felt rushed. It's also very clean which is a number 1 priority for me. I always make an appointment because they do get busy. Please do not complain if you are a walk in and you can't get a service. They are busy and they should take appointments first. The last 2 times I have been there, people came in expecting to get a pedicure right away and were aggravated that they couldn't have one. Went in for a pedi, which should be a relaxing event. The big bouquet of dead flowers on the drying stationi in a glass vase should have given me a clue. After seeing the Young woman working on me rinse tools off in the sink that had been just used on another client, I should have gotten up and left! I have been looking for a nail salon since moving to the Cape. I tried a few and it was very disappointing. I tried this place a week ago , the costumer service is the best- very friendly and welcoming. I got a gel manicure and waited a week to post the review because I wanted to see how my nails would turn our after a week. Well, they look great, gel still on, no chipping or peeling (see picture 1 week and 1 day). I loved this place, its clean, great costumer service and long lasting manicure.
