First time trying this place and eating fish in awhile! I ordered the salmon protein bowl with corn. The corn unfortunately was an added 5 dollars bringing my total for the bowl at around 25 dollars which seemed a bit expensive but the food was so good and I understand fish might be more pricey. They have fun flavors of soda at the fountain. I tried the pineapple creme. Highly recommend! The food came out quick, and the server at the register was great. My only issue was that I wanted to recommend this place for my mom who is allergic to shellfish and they said they cannot accommodate a shellfish allergy and that everything is cooked together, so something to keep in mind! read more

My friend informed me that a lot of new shops were opening in the Willows and this was one of them. I have had food from this chain before over at YV, so I had an idea of what to expect. I ordered online, so my meal was about ready when I arrived at the supposed time. Parking is plentiful and the place looks clean and nice. Service was good since the cashier gave me my soda while they were finishing my food. Chips and Salsa: This was pretty good. Curious the seasoning they put on the chips and the salsa was nice. My only complaint the chips to salsa ratio. Would like a bit more of the salsa. Fish and Chips: A classic order for me. Two pieces of fried fish and fries as well as a cup of kaleslaw. Overall, it was just ok. The fish could have been fried a bit more to my liking. It was not crispy nor flaky as I would expect fried fish to be. Also, it felt like it didn't have much seasoning at all. And the fries were a bit of a letdown for me. They felt undercooked, since it was not crispy and the potato part of the fries felt a bit "hard" (which is akin to being undercooked). The seasoning was good though. I know they just opened and probably have not worked out all the details yet. My daughter and wife both ordered the grilled fish with sides, both were very good. My kid had the grilled stonefish with a side of rice and Brussels sprouts. My wife had the tilapia with rice and street corn, also very good. I ordered the fish and chips, that was the horrible mistake. The 3 pieces of fish was huge, It was more batter than fish. It was like a fish surprise int eh middle and all I ate was batter. I was literally driving in the shopping area Friday afternoon and had no idea there was a conquered location. I had to pull up. When I lived in Concord a few years ago, I would drive to the one in Walnut Creek and it was great however, this location is placed perfectly. I was immediately greeted when I walked in. I believe the sweet girl that helped me her name was Diana if it's not, please forgive me, but she was working Friday afternoon. I love the addition of being able to order via the kiosk cause sometimes you need a little time to go through the menu. And I definitely needed a lot of time to go through the menu, however, Diana was so helpful in addition to me placing my order on the kiosk. Let's just say I had a hearty appetite because I really wanted to order everything, but I got excited when I saw that they had a lobster roll. I also ordered a shrimp taco with the flour tortilla and a side order of shrimp skewer, and a drink to wash it down. Or should I say quench my Thursday regardless when I come back out to Concord, which will definitely be in the future the very near future I'm coming back to this location. I love the fact that it has an ample amount of outdoor seating as well as indoor seating and you're actually able to get more of a personal touch at this location. Our order took over 25 mins to be ready which is too long in my opinion. I realize this location just recently opened so they are still working towards operational efficiency. I can forgive a wait time since we weren't in a hurry. The food was good. My husband got a protein bowl which could have used some seasoning or sauce as it was a bit bland. I got the taco trio and it was tasty and had a nice spicy kick. We also order the breaded shrimp which was over salted but still edible - it actually helped to balance out the flavor of the protein bowl. We all really enjoyed the pineapple cream soda from the fountain machine. What was really disappointing though was getting a side of asparagus for $6 and getting literally 4 skimpy pieces of asparagus. Total ripoff. read more

We came for their soft opening- day 2. We have been fans of CFG for years in S Ca- then were happy when they opened the one on Ygnacio in WC. Not a fan of the ordering- guests now order their own food from a touch screen while employees stand around waiting. Many of our favorites were not available for the soft opening- we understand that- making it smoother for the employees. Hubby and I each ended up ordering their own seabass with different sides- I had the tomato feta and fries, hubby had the beans and fries It actually wasn't what either of us wanted- but were encouraged by the employee Hubby would have ordered their own food fish chips combo and I would have had the dynamite shrimp bowl. We also love their street corn and Brussels sprouts- but not available today. We also normally get a side Caesar or house salad to share. What really was the turn off today was the skin was still on the fish- also it was really thin, tiny pieces. The other CFG we have been to had a lovely salsa bar- this one does not. If you know to ask, they will bring out lemon wedges and sauces. The restaurant and restroom appeared clean. Plenty of parking. This CFS seems smaller than ones we have been to in the past- had a nice outdoor seating area. We do wish them well- just not thinking we will be back. Surprised it was an 'order at the kiosk, then sit down' type of place. Was expecting it to be table service ‍. Good selection, prices were a bit high for self serve, but not unreasonable. Portions were decent, and good selection of fountain beverages and teas. If you're going for your first time, sign up INDIVIDUALLY for the 'club', and place orders and pay separately... order a drink, and you'll get a free protein bowl to go! You can customize it (some), but it's enough to serve two. read more

It was just ok. The food was tasty, but I had to wait an extra 15 min past my pick up time. They forgot my drinks. Forgot to put sauce on the side of one of the dishes as requested. I really love CFG but this location, maybe because it's new, really lacks. We ordered three dishes and all three fish (rock fish, mahi mahi, and salmon) were all overcooked beyond repair even eating it with the sauce didn't help. I really hope this is just a "working out the kinks" thing because I don't want to have to drive to Walnut Creek just to eat at a CFG. read more
