This location is in the Target shopping plaza, and getting in and out can be a bit of a headache. The traffic flow feels confusing, and drivers don't always seem on yielding, which makes the experience a little more stressful before you park! :((( Inside, the setup is pretty standard--nothing particularly unique compared to other Barnes & Noble stores. Prices also seem to be creeping up, and the "Last Chance" section isn't what it used to be, with fewer paperback deals and more generic selections. You need MORE sales and promotions!! I did leave with a book, but honestly, it also made me want to swing by the library next time. :(((

Firstly, I searched their online inventory website for the desired books. Website reported books in stock but were not on selves. The staff couldn't locate them either and said they would update the inventory. So the inventory site is unreliable. Secondly, upon ringing me up for $20, I produced the voucher thinking it would cover the entire cost. Unfortunately, it is only good for half the price of your purchase. When I expressed my confusion about this policy. The tall crotchety old man raised his voice and loudly repeated: "Good for HALF the purchase!" Sir there is no only else inside the store. It's not loud in there. I was your only customer all afternoon. There was no need to raise your voice at me. How embarrassing to get to the ripe old age of grey and still be throwing tantrums at paying customers no less! I should have left the store without purchasing anything but I was just so stunned! I understand that I failed to thoroughly read the small text at the bottom of the voucher that explains their policy. The old man could have simply referred to the text on the voucher instead of displaying such disrespectful behavior. Take your business elsewhere because your patronage is obviously not valued here.

We do not have many independent bookstores around anymore so to find this literally sparked joy! Glad husband and I had a chance to wander through this wonderland of books. There are a lot to dig, for sure. We spent a good hour there, most of it conversing with the owner, Thomas. He is really nice and knows his books for sure! It was super cool getting to know him in such a short period of time. Anyway, I guarantee that you will walk out with a book in hand! I found a couple books...this should keep me busy for a little bit, lol. Husband, of course found a few too, for his library. Every time I mention "let's go the bookstore", husband would always frown because we have so many books! I would respond, "would you rather me shop for another handbag?" LOL. Yea...I didn't think so. i walked away with a light heart on my first visit to untold story. that's not to say, however,…read morethat the bookstore didn't have anything physical in stock. first of its kind in anaheim, untold offers a great selection of literature from children's picture books to young adult romance novels, and offers space for purchasers (and non-purchasers) to lounge and read. if you don't want to read, they also have free coffee and a microwave for you to heat your food, so you could eat and drink coffee as you please! on some weekends, they host free events, like loteria nights as well as community-led workshops. occasionally, they have an art exhibit in the back you can browse and potentially buy from (they actually have one up right now for november)! the owner of the store, magda, was super welcoming to me. before i had left the shop, she quickly gave me a rundown of their unique offerings, and although i didn't say this out loud, i could tell why the place was so meaningful not only to her but to the rest of anaheim. this is more than a bookstore. this is a place of refuge made for the community, by the community. check it out, and enjoy the space whenever you're in the area!

After he mentioned it, I looked it up on Yelp and was pleasantly surprised by the reviews. This is a cute bookstore! The prices are unbeatable! I wanted the Twilight book set for a gift and found it here, for a lot cheaper than other places. The set was in great condition too. The bookstore is very organized and clean. It was pretty easy to navigate the store and find books. Service was good too. The person offered to help us look for what we wanted. I would come back here for more books in the future.

I prefer the one here in Santa Ana Main Place Mall as this location has a Christian book section whereas the one in Mission Viejo does not. Both are great bookstores nonetheless.
