    Taco Salad

We stopped in for dinner as I have always been wanting to try the food! We were the only two people in the dining room. I'm glad the bar is closed off from the dining area. The lighting was a bit dim but the server adjusted the lighting. We ordered the onion rings which were cooked wonderfully. I had the taco salad but the few things I can suggest is that the ground beef didn't taste like taco meat, not enough beans and no salad dressing was included. The tortilla bowl was light and fluffy. My fiancé had the Calico Burger and it was flavorful and very generous beef patty. We will be back as I want to try the fish and breakfast.

I've ventured off to this watering hole a few random times. It has a vintage charm that's really appealing to me because as you know I'm big into vintage places and Las Vegas history. One thing that sets this bar apart from others that they purchased the original House of Lords sign from the former Sahara Hotel. Aside from the decor and dimly lit atmosphere,I came with a purpose and that purpose was food and drink. The bar service was pretty attentive and friendly from a guy named Chad. The bartender seemed to make sure that my drinks were full and that I had everything I needed. I decided to try one of their burgers.... I found that burger be very satisfying and worth the price I paid. Judging by the vibe, this is another nice neighborly watering hole that cater to their regulars. We need more of these places in town. I had a lot of fun hanging out here

While looking for a new place for lunch, we stumbled into this shopping center on the corner of Fort Apache and Charleston. It is tucked away in a shopping mall and could be hard to miss. Do yourself a favor and look at the building behind the gas station, it is so worth it! My hubby had their chicken scallopine which was absolutely delicious served with sides of risotto and shredded fresh veggies. It was fantastic. I had a side salad with fresh veggies and shrimp scampi. The scampi was a bit over "capered," however, with everything else about this experience, I can overlook it. They offer their filet mignon at half price all day on Sundays for a very reasonable price of $15. While their dining room does not open until 4:00 p.m., their bar has tables and very comfy chairs to enjoy your meal. The had a breakfast menu that looked awesome and the prices were more than reasonable. As you would expect, they offer an extensive martini list and the rest of their bar menu is excellent. If I wasn't doing Dry January, I would have been all over that menu! Our server, Jamie, was fantastic and very patient with us since we had never visited and had many questions. Thank you, again, Jamie. We will be back soon. But I can't decide if I want to try their breakfast or filet. Okay, maybe both!

I wanted something besides going to the casino for dinner before WS game 6, so I came here. I sat at a high top table that had 4 chairs on each side. The Bar is dark and a bit loud. That was OK because I was by myself. It was decorated with lots of cloth to be Halloween spider webs. There are a multitude of TVs so one of them will have what you're looking for. After looking over the menu, I ordered their jalapeño burger It's a burger with bacon, fresh mushrooms, jalapeños, pepper jack and American cheese, guacamole, and Thousand Island dressing on a brioche bun. You have your choice of brioche or sesame bun. I asked for the burger to be rare and it was! Burgers come with fries and there was some shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and raw onion rings to add to the burger. I opted to eat them separately as the burger was quite large to start with. The top part of the bun was spread with guacamole and it added to the whole flavor of this great burger. My server was Ariel and she was a delight--friendly, welcoming, and made one feel your business was appreciated. I'll be back. It's just over a mile from home and the food is calling me back.

Decided to check out Petrol Head with some friends this past Sunday for an early dinner at 5PM…read more There were five us total and when we walked in, we were able to sit anywhere we liked. They weren't busy at all, which is expected. Since there were five of us, we did try a good portion of their menu, including drinks. There were food items that weren't available that night since they were revamping their menu, which is a bit unfortunate. From the drinks menu: Pink Slip - Light and refreshing with a tad of fruitiness. Orange Overdrive - Lighter and more tropical version of a Mai Tai. Octane Fluff - Smooth and silky with a bit of sweetness. Pit Lane Passion - Fruity Petal to the Metal - Refreshing and sweet, the Kettle One Botanicals gives it a nice floral element Tokyo Drift - Strong, grassy, and gritty. My favorite out of all the drinks was the Octane Fluff. It was super delicious and the toasted marshmallow was a nice added touch. My least favorite was the Tokyo Drift -- it had Rihei (ginger sochu), citrus, layered matcha, and apple sake. While it sounded very interesting and looked amazing, it had plenty of potential but unfortunately, I don't think it was executed that well. The matcha used was really grassy and gritty -- I've actually never had matcha that tasted like grass before but whichever one they used, it sure did. The Rihei was far too strong and did not mesh well at all with the matcha. The apple sake was just there. It was like drinking three separate drinks but all at once. From the food menu: Japanese cucumber salad - tangy, refreshing, and slightly spicy. OG burger - delicious, plenty of flavor, and the fries were really good. Japanese curry fries - curry had great flavor but I did wish it had some meat. Wings - we tried both the guava heat and the miso honey. The guava heat was my favorite, it was sweet with a small kick. Their wings were juicy and super plump, which was great. Shoyu butter pretzel - pretty normal. Nothing special to be honest. Service is a tad slow mainly because the establishment started to fill up and they don't have a dedicated server to the tables. It was fine for us but if you get impatient, that is something to note. Prices are reasonable for the food but it is a tad high for the drinks. They do have a happy hour as well but it doesn't start until 11PM, which is super unfortunately. I would love to see a reverse happy hour sometime for them cause I simply cannot eat that late. I'm honestly pretty impressed with our first visit. It's very rare where I find a bar where I like almost all the food AND the drinks. Everyone in my party would agree as well. They are actually expanding their hours to include brunch on Saturday and Sundays. We can't wait to go back again. Definitely recommend.

Everything was delicious, especially the meat and cheese selections. The only thing I wouldn't necessarily recommend is the bread service -- two sourdough rolls for $8 felt a bit steep but the quality was still great. The flatbreads were outstanding, and the ricotta was OMG amazing. The space itself is beautiful. The room to the left is especially charming, with a mix of tables and booth-style seating, plus marble Connect 4 and chess boards that add a really nice touch.
