I went to Caliber Collision for repair of rear end from a collision. They made the repair, but it eventually became clear that the repair was not done properly, and water was leaking into the trunk during strong rain. There were gallons of water by the spare tire, and it caused the trunk floor/carpet to mold. While they fixed the leak, they were unwilling to buy a new trunk floor/carpet. Given the porous surface in this part, legitimate mold remediation on it would be more expensive than replacing it. The best they offered was to give me an old one which they obtained from a salvage yard, which would have unknown and unverified history related to smoking, mold, chemicals, etc. The fact that they consider this an appropriate final offer makes me wonder what other old parts they might use for repairs. I suggest caution when dealing with this business. read more

After having my vehicle repaired and restored like brand new as a result of a car crash at Caliber Collision (Carrollwood), a week later, I had additional concerns regarding my ABS, BSD and traction sensor lights that would not disappear, causing me a lot of panic and anxiety since these were essential safety mechanisms. I have two teenage sons who I drive daily which heightened my worries! Caliber Collision's extraordinary team (Peter and Tim, Manager) were willing to assist me, without hesitation! They performed a diagnostic test that revealed historical and current errors. Car dealership would have charged $175 to simply perform this test, whereas Caliber Collision did this as a courtesy for me knowing how critical these issues were for my peace of mind. They immediately ordered my two rear wheel bearings that were delivered to the shop in less than 24 hours. Their customer centric mindset, honesty, knowledge, prioritization, transparency and empathy are bar none. I returned today, 10/25/2024 to have wheel bearings installed, four tires aligned and post diagnostic test performed before I drove off. I will utilize Caliber Collision (Carrollwood) for any vehicle issues/repairs that they are able to perform! I struggle with trusting those in industries whereby I lack knowledge; auto repairs and issues are one of those. Caliber Collision (Peter, Tim, Julie and team) definitely earned my trust. My review is long overdo After a year for waiting for the parts and being ignored by previous management and employees who kept our car for five months in the shop without finishing the job. In meantime we spend a few thousands of dollars on the car rental. Finally we got our car back without a necessary parts ,but it was drivable. In January 2023 we find out that the place was under a new management. What a huge difference ,what a wonderful people are working here at this location now. After weeks trying to get the persons that hit my car insurance company to sort things out with this location.I mean weeks of back and forth to get this location to just sent paper work, answer the phone and actually communicate, we get the approval only for this imbeciles to tell me there's an 8 month wait. When asked to transfer us to another location, they tell me to call and do it myself. I have to start all over again. Unfortunately, I have to give the Caliber Collison on Gunn Highway 1 star. While the cosmetic work done on my car was good the fact that I had approximately $100 worth of change and miscellaneous items stolen from inside my car during the 3 weeks it was there makes this a place I will never return to. I strongly encourage anyone that reads this to either avoid this place or at the very least remove all items from within your car. And before the "Response from owner" is posted. Don't bother. Don't bother to apologize for the inconvenience or ask me to email or call with my concerns. It's trite. The fact is I did report this and nothing was done. A manager offered to buy my a tank of gas next time I'm around the shop. So, I'm supposed to come back with my hat in my hand and ask for scraps kind sir? No thanks. While this would be something one could possibly except out of a shop in Drew Park, I wasn't expecting it from this place. For that I take full responsibility and as far as I'm concerned that was the cost of the lesson to never do business with you again. My 2018 Mustang had a broken headlight and minor front damage so Geico approved getting my claim fixed here. Took a few days, and then when I got it there were some paint chips on the hood missing. I told them to fix it before I'd pick it up. They did. But I can still see some paint chips gone and the paint is not a perfect match. It looks ok if you aren't looking for issues but most "car guys" would notice and do. They gave me a Dodge Challenger as a loaner, not bad. When I turned it in they somewhat accused me of having a dent in the car but said Geico was covering it. I took pics of the car when I got it, and turned it in, and there was no dent - it was perfect condition still. Kind of odd they thought I did something but whatever. Overall they were pleasant and I'd go back again. But I would have someone else do the paint. read more

I cannot express how amazing this shop and workers were! They had it for about a week for something minor. Miguel updated me everyday on the progress of my car. This small detail made such a big difference to go above and beyond customer service. I also have Geico, so they set everything up to drop off my car and get a rental. I have a Mazda and they have a plastic cover on the bottom of the car some how that came loose and was dragging on the ground , stop by Caliber Collision, was telling Robert about, it was lunchtime and everyone was at lunch told me to come back in an hour, an hour later he took my car back about 20 minutes later it was done, ask how much I owed him he said nothing no charge. I had my dent repair done on 2017 Audi A4. The car came back to me with more damages. Bumpy paint, uneven sealed coat, dropping mud guard, different color paint dip, sticky white compound in gas cap and all around inside the car and new paint chip. I visited every day during their three attempts in a week, I saw the wires and other body parts were exposed to rain and sun at the shop while waiting for the damaged part caused by this Bodyshop. Inside the body shop is total junk yard with broken glasses, metal scrap, nails and all body parts laying around. I even had to told the manager to tell his one of his employees stop spraying paint on another car which is 5 feet away from my finished car. I will never go back and make sure my neighood don't go there. Facity: do not have enough space both inside shop and outside customer parking. Geico should drop this facility from their list as they do not meet the quality and standard. Manager and employees: not sure they have passed body shop 101, they cannot assemble body parts back correctly. Manager stated that after seeing my mud guard dropping " it will go back up itself". I told him he either forgot or skipped physic class, according to Newton law with the gravity it will never go back up but it will fall off. I had to swallow this damage as they just kept making it worse I can't allow to touch my car anymore. Quality: poor, bumpy paint, clear coat is uneven, very sloppy job, do not keep/ protect customer car safe from new damages during the car is in the shop. There was a part lying on my back seat mat as they forgot to put back when the reassembled. Time: They first delivered my car in three days but because of new damages the car was there for a week. To me they rushed delivery the cars to customers quickly because they don't have enough space at this location. I went in a little dent on my door. Ok so I was in a fender bender. I was offered this place as a choice to get my repairs done because it is a one stop shop. I could see the geico adjustor, get a rental from enterprise, and Caliber does the repair. The day I dropped off I was there for maybe 20 minutes. It was a Tuesday. They called me on Tuesday with the estimate of repairs and said the parts were already ordered they would have them on Wednesday. My repairs were supposed to take a week. I was called on Friday to pick my car up. Everyone there was extremely helpful and informative every step of the process. I got into an accident and had a bad experience using a mom and pop shop last time so i decided to go with Caliber Collision. I brought my car in for what was supposed to take 3 days and it ended up taking almost a month to get my car back. when I got it back I was not satisfied with the work and received a text to rate them. I decided not to say anything instead of leaving a poor review. things that were not right with the repair it was pulling badly to one side after the accident, there was over sprayed clear coat on the window that I had to use acetone to remove. They damaged some of the paint around my window and the hubcap wasn't put back on correctly and had fallen off somewhere in the road on the way home from the shop. all of this aside I did not complain. Fast forward a couple of months and my ABS light came on. I took it into a trusted repair man and he said that the ABS sensor was left hanging after the accident (my accident was on the driver side front the side panel had to be replaced and this area is where the ABS sensor was attached, since it was carelessly left hanging after a while the tire rubbed the sensor to the wire and ruined it. I took it back to caliber collision and showed them the pictures and the information from the mechanic. Keith stated it had to be approved by corporate because "they didn't do any suspension work" on my car. Its not been 3 weeks and no one has called me back. I called back several times to follow up and I was told it was in the process. On Friday I was told that someone from GEICO was there going over the "hot cases" and the person I spoke with told me they would call me back and took my best contact number again. Now almost another week later nothing! I am so furious! I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

This location is TERRIBLE!! They will charge you for new parts and then try and slide the old parts back into/onto your vehicle. They quoted me one week and after a month plus, they are giving it back...with old parts on it AND they charged me and Geico for new parts. Also, the manager there has some of the WORST customer service I have ever seen. I am filing a complaint with their corporate office and with the regional Geico office.
