Man, I hate writing bad reviews. But this is one that has to be done. Bottom line up front: Don't trust this place with your vehicle. The manager I worked with was Carl. The receptionist was Rich. I had a terrible experience working with this place. They take short cuts, can't meet deadlines they promise you, don't update you, and don't properly inspect the vehicles when "complete." Details below: 27 March 2025, I was in a fender bender. My truck was dropped off at Caliber Collision. First impression was the facility was clean. Everyone was respectful. I was given text messages almost immediately after leaving, with updates every couple of days. I was given access to a customer portal with live updates. I was getting regular updates on the car status, equipment status, that it was being painted. Great start. Then things took a turn. The ready date which was originally scheduled for 30 April changed to 2 May. All updates stopped coming, to include the customer portal with electronic updates. It turned into me having to continuously follow up with them to get updates. They'd promise me "tomorrow it will be ready" so many times. It was finally ready 20 May. When finally got it, there was some cosmetic issues still to include the hood not being level, a dent in the hood they just painted over to hide, and a drip of paint still on the side of the door. I took it anyways, because I was told I could bring it back at any time to get that cosmetic work taken care of. After a trip to Tampa and back, from Zephyrhills, and another day to Clearwater, my truck started shaking and driving terribly. By the time I made it home from Clearwater my truck was smoking from the hood. I checked under the hood and THERE WAS NO COOLANT. I never thought I'd see the day I have to micromanage a mechanic, or inspection teams. I shouldn't have to. It's your job you chose. It's your role in serving the community. Not mine. I tested it for leaks and there was none. I filled it up with the proper coolant and it started running a little smoother. Took it out for another long drive, and the same issue started again. My truck was dropped back off to Caliber again 2 June 2025. This time I would get no updates at all without me reaching out. Every time I called they never knew what was going on. They ran diagnostics for days and couldn't find a solution but they ended up saying it needed a new water line to be installed. I decided to stop calling for an update, to see if a week would go by without an update. Sure enough, a week went by and I had no updates. When I asked the manager in charge, if this was his vehicle, if he'd expect updates from a collision center every couple of days. He told me he agreed he would. I can't seem to understand why the man in charge wouldn't treat the customers the way he'd want to be treated. He explained it was due to him being out of office. Solution: delegate to another person. Especially to a customer that's returned a vehicle due to negligence when putting their vehicle back together. It looks extremely unprofessional when you don't communicate to your customers what's going on with their vehicles. You also have electric systems you can use to do it for you. Use them. In addition to no communication, no one at the front desk knows what's going on if the manager is out. I asked the manager about this as well, and he told me they have systems to update the receptionists so they can also convey the information to the customers. Either the managers aren't updating the systems appropriately, or the receptionists do not have the proper training on the systems. Either way, the system there is broken. I got my vehicle back 23 June. It was there for 20 days for "a line that needed replaced." I drove it home from Wesley chapel and it started shaking terribly and running horribly just like the last time. I took it back and was told there is nothing more they can do. They gave me their business card and said to take it to a place we trusted and they'd cover the cost. We took it to GMC. Of course I had to cover the cost of diagnostics. They diagnosed that the entire brake system needed replaced. After being in an accident, wouldn't you check the brake system? To bring this to closing, I could not trust anyone to diagnose my vehicle, since these places all just want to milk as much money out of your insurance as possible. I ended up getting so fed up with all the jumping through hoops, I traded my truck in. A truck that was low mileage, paid off, and paid off with money I earned deploying for this country. To the people in Caliber collision, do better. You chose your job. Your job is to serve the community in the capacity in which they trust you with the mechanisms of heavy machinery traveling at very fast speeds. If you cannot ensure the safety of our community, do something else. We deserve better. read more

This business has no respect for the customers time. I made an Appointment to have my windscreen replaced two weeks prior. I gave the vin number for the vehicle. They ordered the glass. Day of appointment they had no idea I was coming despite my appointment. They finally start on the car. After two hours tell me they need to order another window cause it does not fit. Rescheduled for tomorrow. Next day they don't have anyone that can install the window. Telling me I need to reschedule again. This place is disorganized at best. I don't like to leave bad reviews but my experience was absolutely horrible. I had my basketball net fall on my car, dropped it off to them and was quoted 2 weeks. ok cool. But no, everytime it was time to pick it up something was still not done. I was told probably 10 different days that it would be ready and come that time it never was. They had my car for over A MONTH! Day comes to pick it up and the roof is still dented and a bad paint job on the hood. I continued to leave it with them till they had fixed it and again everytime i was given a day to pick it up it ended up never being ready. I hate to say that maybe because i'm a girl i was being taken advantage of but it kind of feels as if. I was so fed up i let my boyfriend call them. As soon as he called it was ready that day... Cool we go pick it up and see the roof runner on the back of my car is broken. They broke it and left the snapped off piece in the cup holder in the car. I call them stating it needs replaced that they had broke it because it was not broken when i took it to them. They gave a day to come in but then stated that day wouldn't work. Was given a different day then suddenly they never picked up the phone when me and my boyfriend both called. Hmm. Tried again a different day still no answer to each of us calling. Immediately after we called as an Unknown caller and immediately they answered the phone. Odd huh... we definitely were being ignored. all i wanted was my car fixed due to damage they caused! His demeanor was immediately off-putting, as he began to question the legitimacy of the online quote by claiming that there would inevitably be deeper damage that couldn't be seen in the photos. This was perplexing and contrary to what the receptionist had assured us, that their online quotes are generally accurate. When Mike inspected the car, he instinctively mentioned several unaccounted damages before even thoroughly investigating the vehicle. His rush to inflate costs was further evidenced when he brought up issues under the hood without any clear inspection. It was disheartening when he mentioned that an exact estimate would cost us $400. He later conferred with the General Manager who confirmed they could give an accurate estimate, but with the caveat that they would leave the car disassembled. They pointed out that it was a service typically reserved for insurance quotes, which made me feel uncomfortable as a self-paying customer. It seemed odd that they were more concerned about whether I was going through an insurance company for the repairs, rather than focusing on providing transparent service. After a frustrating two-week wait, the best they could give me was a vague estimate ranging from $3,000 to $6,000 above the initial online quote. This left me feeling like I had wasted my time, and their conduct led me to feel that they favored clients who processed claims through their insurance rather than self-payers. In conclusion, I am sadly disappointed and underwhelmed by Caliber Auto Repair's customer service, transparency, and overall operations. If they truly value their customers, then significant improvements are required. Had an issue to our brand new car. Heavy debris impacted the front area and windshield. Luckily Geico had an office at the very nice new facility. I met with Judy right after I got the repair order from Geico. Caliber was so helpful, assisted with car rental, kept me updated during the entire process. The final product was amazing. Looked better than the original factory paint job!! During pick up, Patrick the GM conducted a walkthrough and made sure everything was great. I hope never to need them again, but if I do we will use this location in the future! read more

The second call was to State Farm and I told them to send a tow truck and take to Caliber Collision in Wesley Chapel. I took my car here for a minor repair involving a medium sized dent and scraping to the back quarter panel. Everyone I interacted with was extremely attentive, helpful, and nice and the stressful process of having my car repaired was made as easy as possible! I especially appreciated the text updates from the repair technician that let me know how progress was coming and expedited the pick up process. My car was completely repaired in about one week and everything was fixed perfectly. The technician also did a great job of going over the itemized list and explaining anything I had questions about. I also had a rental car from Hertz and it was very easy to simply drop my rental off at Caliber instead of having to take it back to Hertz and have them shuttle me or call me a Lyft. Zero stars. Came here for a fender bender. Nothing else. They gave me the car back with window not working and the button that pushes drivers seat forward not working. Let them know and they said to bring it back in to repair. When picking up they said I need replace motor, meanwhile I never had this issue previously and am on top of maintenance at the dealership. Very next day after their 'repair' it stopped working again. Now I have to save money for this repair. Take business elsewhere and would not recommend. read more

He was a beacon of light in a day that quickly became chaotic and challenging. These days there are not a lot of places who will assist you without compensation and there was no expectation on his part, in fact he turned me down to compensate him, because I was truly grateful.
