After a few days later, when I arrived to the shop for my appointment, we talked about my car and I even informed Philo that I had went to another shop (gates... lol) and they quoted me almost $3k to fix my passenger car door. Which, by the way, my passenger side door would not open at all nor would the window go all the way down without making noise. Philo stepped outside and took a look at my car, analyzed it carefully and said, "Yup. I can fix it! And for a better price!" Sure liked the sound of that!! We went back inside and he searched up car parts for my car and gave me an estimated price. However, he said he would do some more searching and send me an accurate estimate through email. Philo took my information and I went on my way. Later that night, he called me and gave me the actual estimated amount and I said, "Let's do it!" (By the way, ALOT cheaper than Gates!!) We set up an appointment, where I'd practically be carless and he sent me the quote through email. I went to Philo's shop the following day and gave him half the deposit! A week later, I took my car to the shop. 3 and a half days later, my car was ready for pick up. (P.s. I was so excited!) When I arrived, he explained to me what they did to my car and how they even cleaned it as well! (I appreciated that so much!) He handed me my keys, I gave him the other half of the money and went on about my business. I opened my passenger car door and had such a relief that I could finally open the door again. It almost looks brand new! They did an absolute great job!! I absolutely loved how Philo was very knowledgeable, caring, and always replied to me in a timely manner when I had questions! I 100% recommend Philo's Body Shop! They were overall amazing! Unfortunately, I only have photos after they fixed it. But trust me when I say this... that passenger side door would not open! In these photos, I'm showing where the work was done! Looks pretty nice and brand new if you ask me!

I'm not sure, since the repairs were very costly, but I think the repair quality was 5 stars. They did a break job and after picked up the car, the air conditioner went out, so they did that repair also a few weeks later. The break repair costs were about what I expected, but the air conditioning repair was about double what I expected (me, with zero automotive repair experience). Both repairs seem to be quality repairs, and the owner, David, talked me through them before I gave the go-ahead. I'm giving 5 stars because I think they did a good job. I'm not completely sure I understand why the air conditioner gave out right after they fixed the breaks, and I'm going to go with "complete coincidence" for that one, but it was a very expensive fix. All in all, I would continue to take my cars here for repairs. Thank you Carsmart and David.

Everyone at Basney from…read moreChris Egan, to both of the Chad's are super friendly, helpful, honest, funny and they beat the snot out of any Chicagoland dealer. No games and total honesty are rare in this industry but Basney BMW does both. Never tried to upsell, didn't try to hide any fees, just total transparency. After working out the details remotely, I took a train ride to South Bend and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I have purchased a lot of cars and this was the easiest deal ever. I have to say that even including my train ride and the drive back I can almost guarantee that I still saved time versus the time it would have taken negotiating with the dealers in the Chicagoland area...and the train ride was pleasant to boot. Anyways, if you are within a day or two drive, I think it is well worth it to shop Basney BMW. You will not be disappointed with how you are treated. I am sure I will be a return customer too.

When I received the missing part #, I called and found the missing part, in stock, at 8 Jeep dealers in the country. I called Dennis and advised the closest dealer. He told me that was not the correct part # even though he circled the number on the estimate. Called again and found the part a 6 dealers in the country. Jeep has a national data base for parts. I found both parts in 1 hour. Why didn't Tyler do this? Had to get Chrysler involved to get Tyler moving. Once I told them where to get the part, the repair took 38 days. I have rental car coverage for 45 days. Because of the delay, I was $1800.00 out of pocket for a rental car. Chrysler reimbursed $1200.00. Picked up the car and noticed the hood was not aligned properly. Took it back 2 times to get the problem fixes. Never fixed properly. Last visit Dennis said "what do you want me to do?" I said fix the hood. I had to take the Jeep to another Jeep dealer who fixes the hood and Chrysler paid. I am the car owners brother-in-law who handled the repair
