Rear End hit in November and got it checked in Jan-March at Caliber. Front desk was fantastic with the help and assistance with paperwork and getting the rental car. Thank you! It's my first time and I don't know what to do or say, and I thought everything would be fine. I tried to address my concerns and I honestly didn't feel heard, or it could be that I know nothing about cars to say anything. SUMMARY: Problem 1) 1-2 week speedy fix, but caliber made a dent on my car so i had to wait another 1-2 weeks for them to fix it. Problem 2) They didn't let Enterprise know that they damaged my car so Enterprise tried charging me for the extra days I had the car due to Caliber. I had to call Enterprise to explain myself when they said they would do it.... Problem 3) i mention my horn/honk system not working and it was not checked. since it was not checked and not on the bill AMF declined to get it fixed. YES, I did mention it before my car getting fixed and no one did anything until after I took my car home. Problem 5) I was offered to come back in to check the horn after the bill was the submitted when my car was in there for 1-3/4 weeks already... ***Keep in mind, this is my first time doing this all. by. myself. Now. I. Know. Read the rest for detailed information. My bumper was fixed within 1-2 weeks which is speedy. I took a quick inspection of where it was fixed and found out that it was damaged by Caliber. I looked at their before and after photos that they took before fixing my car, and it was definitely not there before, so I waited another 1-2 weeks. They fixed it for free of course. I was advised that it may have gotten hit by a plow truck who was removing snow during the week/weekend... But how or why would my car be allowed to be damaged by it? I asked if I should take the rental car back and they said they'd take care of the car and rental. During the car rental period, Enterprise tried charging my card for the days I had it. In conclusion with this, Caliber never called them to inform about the situation. I had to. I called within a week to check the status of it and Scott, around these words he said "yes, we fixed and it looks way better than before because there was a dent there before" If there was or not, I know that the dent Caliber made on my car is way worse. Literal paint coming off of my car, and a whole 1-2 knuckle size dent added onto my car. It was not a good word choice for customer service. If it was dent beforehand, leave the conversation as it is because the new dent that was made was way worse. I only got to talk to my car inspector about 2 time and that was before fixing my car. During the visits after it was all with Lee, I'm grateful he tried to help as much as he can. I would've really appreciated if I spoke to the actual person working on my car, because everything would be direct, but Scott was always busy with another client. I believe that there should be appointments added for clients like me who can speak straight to my car inspector. Not that Lee was bad, but I felt like I didn't get all the information I needed. I did wait the second time for Scott to be finished with his client, and it took awhile to wait to him. I finished a whole phone call with AMF Insurance to speak about my car fixing report if that gives any ideas of how long the wait was. Lee advised me that he could pass along the message I had which he did. I got no call from Scott so I called myself to check on the updates on my concern. Which leads me to my other complaint. As I stated before, I know nothing about cars and this was my first time. I mentioned that my horn/honk system was not working BEFORE my car got fixed. It was never checked if it was triggered from my car accident or by something else. I asked the two times I came to pick up my car, and still no change or assistance on that. Moving forward to the phone conversation with Scott. He said that AMF insurance did not approve on getting it fixed because it may not have happened from the car accident and it was NOT reported. Mind you, I stated I mentioned this BEFORE getting my car fixed and again NO ONE bother to even check. Back to the conversation, Scott offered for me to come back so he could take a look at it.... I believe I stated my car was already there for 1-3/4 weeks now. How come it wasn't checked when I mentioned it about 3-4 times? Anyways, I just gave up. I said I'll call AMF and check with them in regards of the horn/honking system as I did mention it BEFORE my car was fixed. I don't understand why this was harder than it had to be. I am super disappointed how stressful it actually was. Maybe if the first dent wasn't there it would've been less stressful, but why do I have to mention something more than once and it still not getting checked? I hope I never have to go through this again, and that AMF can assist with my horn situation.

Go somewhere else. They will fix one problem and not address another related issue causing more problems.

On my way home I noticed the time and thought I would pop in to ask for an estimate appointment. I entered the office to owner Joe & told him what I would be requesting. Joe kindly suggested we step outside and estimate the damage. I showed him the few small defects; he noted that the headlight placement had been damaged and that likely all repairs would be roughly $2100. I asked if they did loaner cars during the repair? They do not, but if it's the other persons insurance they should allow a rental car. I discussed the "Selected Service Shops" the insurance had suggested. He stated that those places are usually commission based and that Wayne-Val is just him, his wife & brother-in-law compared to larger shops that are 20+ associates. I feel confident in leaving my vehicle w Wayne-Val and will do another yelp/update this one once I have actually had my vehicle repaired. I appreciated that Joe quoted me a realistic 19 February as what I'd be looking at for a service date. I mostly appreciated that Joe told me some of the questions that the insurance may ask, such as: do I approve used parts? He said I don't have to say yes and he wouldn't recommend used parts and it could only save insurance a couple hundred dollars. Thanks Wayne-Val for a wonderful and knowledgeable customer service experience!

I must have called and stopped by at least 15 body shops all over the Twin Cities before I found Bona Bros. Name a shop you've heard of, I went there and was told no. Body shops that work on rust are a dying breed! I get it-- rust is the cancer of the car. But we still treat cancer. The folks at Bona primarily work on specialty vehicles, like ambulances, delivery trucks, etc., where it is worth the money to do body repairs rather than totaling the whole vehicle. Al said he would take a look and send me an estimate. When he did, he gently suggested I should consider finding a new car, instead. But he also quoted out the whole job and said they were happy to do it if I wanted. I'm emotionally invested in the car, so it was worth the price. Al and his team did a fantastic job replacing the floorboards for me. He kept me in the loop with updates as they worked, and the final total came in under the initial quote. If you have a car with rust, this is the place to take it.
