The first two repairs went pretty smoothly and my car came back in great shape. This last repair has been extremely frustrating. Enough so, that I had to send an email (Friday, December 5th) to the general manager, Will Lopez, about my experience. I wanted to reach the manager by phone but was told his preferred method of communication was by e-mail. Text from that e-mail relating to my current experience is below: "...Well unfortunately on Nov 8th I hit a deer....I brought the car in to Loudoun Collision on Nov 10th and it has been there ever since...I was given an expected completion date a few days before Thanksgiving, I think the 24th. That then got moved to to Wednesday the 26th. ....The last time I had my car in your shop, I was getting constant text updates with the progress. This time I am getting none. By 3pm on the 26th hadn't heard anything about my car being completed. So I called and that is when I found out there were parts and painting issues and that the new pickup date would be Wednesday, Dec 3rd. By the 3pm on Wednesday the 23rd, I still hadn't received any communication so I called in and spoke with Brandy. She said there was still issues with parts and that the new date would be today, Friday December 5th. She said she would call me on Thursday (yesterday) with an update. I expressed to her my disappointment with the lack of communication and she was apologetic. I received a call from her at 6pm Thursday and she couldn't tell me for sure if my car would be done, but that she should know by about noon on Friday if the part arrived. It is now about 3pm on Friday and I have received no communication if my car will be ready or not. This has been frustrating as I do not have a rental car and we are having to do last minute juggling due to being uninformed of the car's status." As of the writing of this review (Dec 9th), I have not received the courtesy a reply from Mr. Lopez. A minute after sending that e-mail, I did receive a call from Brandy that the car was not ready and that the new pick up date would be Monday, Dec 8th. I believe Brandy was doing the best she could, but it seems the shop has some major internal communications issues that need to be resolved. Just past 4pm on Monday I received the long awaited call that my car was ready. Yipee, right? Not so fast. I was then informed that they charge 4% for using a credit card and they do not take personal checks. I understand that businesses do this, but I didn't know this was Loudoun Collision's policy. The last two times I paid with a credit card with no fee attached. Finding this out at 4pm made it a bit challenging to avoid that fee. Well I mustered up the cash paid my bill and got my car. Finally its over, right?? Not so fast. After about five minutes driving the car's warning break light came on along with the following messages "Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem" "Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem" & "Road Departure Mitigation System Problem". I called LCC and was told those should have been reset. They told me they will contact the person responsible and get back to me on Tuesday. Well it's Tuesday morning and I am typing this review. This saga is not over and I will update the review if it is worth the energy. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I can no longer recommend LCC. It's too bad because I was very happy with them in my previous encounters.

I appreciated his acknowledging the shortcomings of LCC with respect to the service I received. He was very apologetic with all that had taken place. He plans on working with his staff to find out all that went wrong and work to make sure it doesn't happen again. I found him to be sincere in everything he said. With respect to the warning lights, they pertain to an inability to calibrate car parts to an after-market windshield that was installed previously by his garage on my car in a different accident repair. He will be contacting my insurance to see about getting an OEM windshield. My car is at least drivable, but will needs to go back to his garage for further repair. I just dropped my car off. With the saga still continuing, I will provide further updates. Stay tuned...

I planned to go in, make an appointment for an estimate, and come back another day (since that's how most places work) but their flexibility and personable atmosphere gave me the ability to explain exactly what was going on with my vehicle. They had a couple choices to fix the problem, and since they had a minute they tried one remedy on the spot, and it happened to work like a charm. I know that they might not be able to do that in the future, because obviously there will be other customers before me next time, and manpower is a tricky thing to juggle for a small business, but I do appreciate knowing these guys will accommodate spur-of-the-moment ideas if they have the time and experts on-hand at that minute. It just seemed to me like they had every right to make me wait or come back another day, but they wanted to help me more than "show me protocol" the way some places do. I was out of there in a half-hour, and while I don't expect them to do that kind of generous gesture in the future, it is a great feeling knowing they're on my side. I feel like I'm on the defensive as soon as I walk in to other places. Not here! Also, I've found the prices to be better than fair. These guys are the best.

Communication is NOT their strong suit…read more Had 2 incidents with my vehicle (Dodge Challenger) where a deer was struck. The first time they took 8 weeks to fix it. This would not be a huge deal, if there was PROPER communication throughout the process. When I picked up my car, the headlight they "fixed" went out not even 3 days after the vehicle was released to me. I ended up hitting another deer 2 weeks later and had to bring the car back to them. I decided to go with them again against my better judgement. I'm definitely paying the consequences now. The lack of communication continues. My insurance company was told the car would be ready Feb 14; THEIR OWN website states completion date Feb 14.... When I call on Feb 14 to ask when I can come pick it up, I get attitude and the nastiest "did we call you". Why have a website if you're not going to update it? Why tell insurance INACCURATE INFORMATION. It's now Feb 21 and the only "communication" I have received all week in regard to my vehicle are the same automated messages I've been getting for 2 weeks now stating "we're working on it". If you value your vehicle, time, money, and want to be informed throughout the process, I'd steer clear. Asking anyone anything is like pulling teeth, and being told "we're working on it" is simply unacceptable.

I took it back after the engine light came on two days later, and they said "sensors are not included in the three year warranty". "It will be close to anther $1000 to fix the sensor". I didn't know they used old sensors for a rebuild engine. Rather foolish if you ask me. My car also runs rich, burns a bit of oil, and drinks fuel. It also chokes itself out, and stalls constantly. That's a lot of money to pay for a vehicle that barely runs. After paying them almost double what I should have; they ask for more money every time I go in to see if something can be tuned, or fixed. Which leaves me to wonder what the warranty actually covers. I can see where they've done good work, so I'm simply asking them to do their job. It has however been a very unpleasant experience, and a waste of money. A crate engine would have been much cheaper without the headache. Also a year later, and only 6k miles put on the engine; it ended up blowing completely, and needing another rebuild. I have yet to hear back from the shop about my car. I have also witnessed many other distraught customers while sitting in the front office with the same issues. (They need more money to finish the job. Taking too long. Not a good product. Failure to communicate) it's an alright business if you're looking for something simple like a machined head, or manifild cleaning (which I've had done) It is not so great if you're asking for anything more. Save time, money, and take your engine/car elsewhere. Taking my car to them was the worst decision I've ever made. They are downright thieves. And they've changed the name of the company, and got rid of their facebook page which got rid of all their other bad reviews.
