Taking their time to do an estimate about a week with the car "A" Auto Body finally completed their estimate. THEY TOTALED THE CAR. Since the car only had a "repairable bump" on it and ran perfectly. Simply put my common sense radar went off and I told them I wanted the car. THEN I received a $2,300.00 approx. bill for my car being parked in their lot while they did the estimate and heard from the insurance company. In the mean time no one in the shop called to tell me I could pick the car up. This is a fee I was unaware and never told by the front desk when checking in ($150.00 per day.) The fee was an additional charge over and above any work on the car included other "charges" for the estimate itself. Their response when I voiced concern about the parking fees was, "The insurance company will pay." My review to other customers: Caveat Emptor - "buyer beware." Do your homework and don't leave the car.

A "main stream" body shop said they couldn't get parts anymore and couldn't make the repairs. I was afraid I might have to part out my car over a bumper cover. The main stream shop referred me to Dayz. Dayz did a beautiful and perfect repair re-using the existing bumper cover, somehow making and finding new attachment clips, and also found parts from various online sources to repair the damaged fog light and its socket, the pop up headlight washers, and even plastic welded the cracked washer reservoir. The car was returned fully detailed inside and out and looks showroom perfect. They are very creative, resourceful, friendly and the price was very reasonable. I couldn't be more pleased and am grateful that they were able to fix everything and help me keep my classic Audi up and running.

We explained that a 3'x4' piece of plywood flew out of the back of a hauling truck on the Chesapeake Expressway and hit our front windshield on the passenger side and then flipped and sheared off our passenger side mirror. Even though we hadn't asked for a formal estimate, they went outside and took a look at our car and then started making calls to see if they could locate the parts. They went out of their way to help us. So, they replaced the windshield and the side mirror and they both look/work great. We couldn't be happier with the quality of service that we received. She's like oh well your car isn't even drivable so idk how are you getting here? and I'm like oh I'm already next door, and she's like oh okay well then yeah that's State Farm's fault, we'll just see you for your appointment. I come in, she's short with me and tells me to have a seat and she'll get to me soon. She doesn't. She complains about being open during the snow. I'm like yeah I'm literally on break from my 12 hour shift cuz we can't close either, but when I got the text cancelling i assumed it must be the snow. She grunts. She helps another customer who comes in. I wait. My rides still waiting in the parking lot so I'm like hey can I just leave my keys with you or should I let my ride know to come back for me? Do you need anything else from me? And she's like oh well your car isn't getting worked on for another month so idk what you wanna do about that. Insurance has them listed as a "select service option" that will come get my car and drop it off for the appointment. When they didn't try to arrange that or answer my calls, I got it there without them. They didn't provide the "select service" they advertised, they instead waited til 15 minutes before my appointment to cancel my appointment via text and then tell me I never booked with them, argue with me about my booking, tell me to come in and it's sorted and then tell me when I get there that my appointments futile cuz they won't even do anything with it for at least a month. The whole experience was unprofessional, why even have a shop manager if they can't communicate effectively. If the quality of work is as poor as the customer service, I'm sure I just saved a ton of money by NOT using these chickenheads. If I could give zero stars I would, one is generous.

In that timeframe, I never received another communication from them. I was never told they were understaffed, which is the excuse I got or I would have selected a different location. Now, after $1,500 out of pocket for a rental car, Caliber agreed to pay 1 week of the rental without letting me know anything. After it was all said and done, the only communication I had with the guy was the one time I drove up there after never getting a call back for weeks.
