My husband had asked throughout the MCAS New River construction site where he is the safety manager and Caliber Collision at Fairway Road in Jacksonville, NC was mentioned as a trustworthy business. Our first interaction was with Heather and Nick, we soon made contact with Chris and Jeremiah. Each one of these individuals alone and as a team have provided us with exemplary customer service. They have been personable, patient, informative, professional, and above all, they are simply, kind people! We have been treated as if we were their only customer. You can tell in their voices how enthusiastic and confident they are regarding their ability to bring Mason's brand new birthday gift back to us in the same condition it had rolled off the dealer lot less than a month earlier. To make matters worse, I'd just returned from an out of state interview and had to leave for another the next day. During the repair process I would be in and out of town constantly. My insurance gave me the list of places to have my car repaired and I chose Caliber due to their outstanding reviews. Having been married for 14 years to a perfectionistic, professional body shop owner I dreaded this situation. I'd seen him deal with other body shop's work: misaligned body panels, poorly matched paint, paint not blended correctly, cheap parts, orange peel and metallic that didn't lay correctly. The thought of possibly haggling over poorly executed details, while flying around for job interviews, was exhausting. Thankfully, my experience throughout the process was professional and went above my expectations. There were texts on the progress of my car and invitations for questions. Cody was my official contact and he out did himself, but every contact I had with the people who work here was exceptional. They truly went out of their way to make a stressful time, stress free. I picked up the car yesterday. They again went way (!!) out of their way to help with my rental car. I was embarrassed to get so much help but incredibly grateful. The process of rental return, which could have taken over an hour, was shortened substantially. The car? Body lines were aligned, panel gaps even, metallic lay the correct direction, no obvious orange peel in the paint. A bit of missed overspray on a trim piece was buffed out without any hassle. Why do I mention this? Because it's easy to be good when you're perfect, but how a business and individual handles issues as they arise are the real tell of quality. They were able to repaint the trim and I took the opportunity to add a custom touch to my interior by changing the OEM silver color to a nice tan color. A few days later I was able to pick up the trim piece. The shape and texture of the dash piece did not allow for the painted trim to be 100% precisely masked so Excel offered to touch up some areas of overspray later in the week when the paint was completely dry. I wound up just taking care of the overspray myself and I even added some pinstripes with some vinyl wrap. I'm happy over all with the job excel did was glad they were able to help me out as quite a few shops refused to accept the job.
