Want to give them a zero rating - I took my car to Caliber Collision in Indian Land in early December for a repair estimate, foolishly believing that making an appointment might result in... service. The representative took a few photos of my car and confidently assured me the estimate would be sent to my insurance company within an hour. I even double-checked this wildly optimistic timeline, and he reassured me--because why not--that I'd see everything reflected with my insurance within 24 hours. Fast-forward more than three weeks, multiple calls to my insurance company later, and guess what? They have still heard absolutely nothing from Caliber Collision. Every call produces the same greatest hit: "We'll take care of it today." A phrase that apparently means "we will absolutely not take care of it today." Today's episode featured someone named Frank, who informed my insurance company that there is--surprise--a "glitch," and that he would get back to them. This marks the sixth time the mysterious "glitch" has been blamed, yet somehow it remains completely unfixed. Truly impressive consistency. So if you enjoy endless waiting, zero accountability, recycled excuses, and a masterclass in professional indifference, Caliber Collision Indian Land is the place for you. As a bonus, on my way in, I watched another customer refuse to take their car because the repair didn't feel right. That probably should've been my cue to turn around and leave. I recently had an accident with my SUV. After being told by several shops that no one would even look at it for 3 weeks (pushing it out passed the New Year), the owner of the facility where my truck was taken, Caliber, called me. He explained that this was misinformation and that it's repairs that can take that long. It was quite a relief to know that someone cared enough to do the inspection and set my mind at ease. Although there is little they could do for my vehicle, taking the time to assess my truck, quickly, I can never thank Dustin enough for stepping up. The second time we were not going through insurance and had to pay out of pocket for a rental car. We asked them if they could expedite the repair to minimize our rental costs. Not one to give five stars, so this is an example of what it takes to get that rating. Service was absolutely outstanding. I backed into a neighbors car. And it happened to be the day they were moving into their new home. Welcome to the neighborhood! No injuries, but their driver door was well-smushed and my rear end was dented and a side panel had popped out. Oh joy! My USAA auto insurance (another player in this drama) told me to go to Caliber and rent a car from Enterprise (the third player). So when USAA recommends and uses a vendor you can count on quality and consistency. So off my wife and I went. Located on a small road running behind KFC is a beautiful building with colorful sign. THIS was Caliber. I dreaded going in as auto repair, and especially auto body repair, operations are generally gritty, dirty staffed with gritty, stained and dirty employees. Pleasantly, this was not the case with Caliber. When we check in, wife and I were astounded at how clean and neat everything was. The body shop floor was immaculate and polished. The office neat and comfortable. And the restrooms very clean. Further, the receptionist informed us that Enterprise was coming with our rental car! Amazing. After completing paperwork with Caliber, we went over to Enterprise to do their paperwork and then home. Total time to get this done: less than an hour. We were told it would be a few days to get the car repaired, but the phone rang at 2pm telling us that the job was done. Great, but I had to return the rental car. Caliber informed us that they would return our car to us and then pick up and return our rental car. The day was ending. Around 5:30pm Caliber called to tell us that they (two people) were on the way. By 6pm we had completed their paperwork, paid for the repairs and handed them our rental car. They took the rental car to their home and returned it to Enterprise the next morning. We were amazed at how smooth, efficient, courteous and downright nice they were. This is the definition of outstanding customer service and concern. Although we do now want to have another collision occasion, we know now that Caliber will get our business. Extremely horrible business. They took 1500 dollars before ever touching my vehicle. When I asked why they had already deposited the check after telling them I didn't want the work done, their reply was "they didn't want to lose the check". Well now the check is gone and they don't seem to know how ai can get the money back. They are shady and don't deserve your money. read more

I car checked out because it had some scratches adjuster name Scott he looked at everything and he said maybe we could buff this out. At that' point he called David his paint man and he came out to look at the damage to the car. He then went back got some compound and repaired the scratches on the wheel well. When I asked him what was the charge he said nothing happy that we could just buff it out. The real issue here is that they could have charged me a lot of money to make the repair and I would have paid it being that it was a new car. But instead because of his knowledge and David's expertise they were able to make the repair. This is truly great customer service but most of all it shows the ethical way that they do business. It was rainy, and I was parked in my driveway next to my wife's Toyota Sienna van in my driveway. Hers was parked facing the street, my Mazda faced the garage. I had been putzing around with the cars, can't remember why. Anyway, I got in my car to run to the store. I backed up. I looked out my driver window and didn't see anything. But I stopped. That was good. If I hadn't stopped I would have torn my wife's driver-side door clean off; as it was, it was just about 50% ripped off. My wife was nice about it. Called the insurance, and luckily there was no damage to my car because it would not have been covered. "Take it to Caliber." Caliber had a bit of a problem finding a suitable used door (for the 2011 Sienna), and eventually they had to use a new one. But wow, what great service. They provide regular periodic updates, and when we got the car back, they had detailed it a bit and it looked wonderful. Great service, quality work, attentive communication. I'll be back if I'm ever this stupid again; I'll likely be back. read more

Meh. I didn't go with them because they were about triple what I was able to get it done for at a different collision place. They wanted $1,100 to change out my side view mirror using an OEM part. When I told them I was fine with non OEM, they were still over $600 because they were marking up the part so much and they wouldn't let me order the part myself from Amazon to try and save money (even though I was willing to for go a warranty). I got the work done somewhere else for $370 (part and labor) and it is perfect. read more

I went in to ask for help with a fairly large paint smear on the front bumper. It had been there for awhile and my wife and I decided it was time to try to clean it up. We took it into Caliber, filled out the paper work and Alan came out to look at the problem. He went to get a cloth and supplies, kneeled down in 95 degree heat, and cleaned it up and buffed it in a matter of minutes. He said, "drive safe" and told us there wouldn't be a charge this time. Was rear ended on Rte 521 and towed to this Caliber Collision site. The end product was excellent....but the process was a confusing mess! Car had to moved to one of their other sites because of "back log". Here is where the confusion started...when we would call to determine status...people wouldn't know even where the car was.. It would seem a simple correction would be to assign a number and responsible name to the job....simple computer entry...identifying location and status. We were given dates of completion...which kept changing... Caliber Collision needs to improve the caliber of their PROCESSING and COMMUNICATIONS. In the meantime...we had to,deal with a rental. The people are so helpful here. They checked my car to see if the work I got done on it before was faulty or not and went through it with a "fine tooth comb" when I asked what I owed them they said they just wanted to make sure my car was safe for my family and didn't charge me anything! Want a sky high estimate visit this location! Had to have one of my vehicle back in to get repainted because of dark spots in the paint. Plus they are ripping you off by charging $40 for a "prescan" and and other $80 for a "post scan" which are literally 3 minutes apart. Total scam and management won't call you back or respond to emails when questioned. Just got an estimate to fix a small dent and scratch in the door for $1900 read more

I brought my car in with no appointment and only waited about 10 minutes until I was helped by Alan. My car had been bumped into in a parking lot and sustained some visible scratches.
