I didn't hear from anyone there by 6/25/24 I called them and was told they were going to get to me but in the meantime go back in the system and change from repair to replace, mind you no one had seen my windshield but this lady from that company told me to have my insurance change to replaced. Well right there I feel something wasn't right but I figured she knew her job better than I. I called had it changed to replaced and dropped my car off 6/28/24 at 8:00am and returned at 1:00 pm to a new windshield. Once I paid my deductable and went to start my car it stated on the dash "Pre-Collision System Malfunction Visit your Dealer" I went back in establishment and stated to her what my car was saying. At that point the young lady stated "Oh we don't do Calibrations and I would have to take to dealer and my insurance would pay for it". When I asked her why she had not stated that to me so I could have scheduled an appt. with my dealer, or chosen a shop that did fix windshield and do calibrations she again stated oh the sign is right there didn't you read it?" Mind you the sign is an 8 x 11 piece of white paper on a door to the side of where the employee seats, something no one would look for along with two other pieces of paper, not laminated, not larger for older eyes, not visible. Pictures attached!!!! When I took my car to Toyota they stated that how unprofessional is that and they would not be able to get to my car until Monday. (7/1/24) My deductible was only 50.00 but the price of the windshield was 750.00 and then I have to pay Toyota 412.00 to recalibrate, and I'm left without a car due to unprofessionalism, rudeness and plain ignorance. I was referred to them by Pohanka Honda, where we bought our new HRV, after the rear windshield was shattered last week. Not only could they see me a day before Safelite could, they also quoted me much less than even Safelite's in-shop price to replace the windshield! When I got there, they immediately took my car back to start working. They asked if I would be waiting, I said yes, and they warned me it could be "a couple of hours," which was what I expected. I settled down, signed into the guest WiFi (for which they are happy to give the password), and got ready to do a few work calls in the waiting room. However, only about 45 minutes after taking my car back, the (very kind, helpful) receptionist informed me that they were almost done with the car! Almost as soon as she said that, they drove the car back around to the front and asked me to come out: they showed me the tape that should stay on the rear windshield for 24 hours, but also showed me that they cleaned all the broken glass out of the rear hatch (we had avoided touching it in case of cuts/injury). Not only did they clean the whole area out, they organized it neatly down to refolding and stacking the towels.

Fast forward to recently, and that tiny crack had grown to about the size of a quarter. I scheduled an appointment for a mobile repair, but literally overnight, that quarter-sized crack expanded even more. When I called Safelite, they were able to move my appointment up, but at that point, a full windshield replacement was necessary. That turned out to be the right call, because the crack quickly spread from one end of the windshield to the other. Sigh! I arrived about 30 minutes early, and my technician was able to take my car right away. He let me know the process would take around three hours, and he was spot on. The waiting area was spacious and comfortable, with a TV and a coffee/water station, which made the time pass easily. Once everything was completed and recalibrated, I was invited to inspect the work. They did an excellent job on my windshield, and I really appreciated the extra attention to detail. He was even able to transfer my car's insignia from the old windshield to the new one. Overall, a smooth, professional experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend Safelite.
