After receiving Erytons service for the past few years, I had my last and final visit due to an unfortunate incident. On Aug. 29 my dog was picked up by Eryton as scheduled. Approximately 30 minutes later I get a phone call From his wife Joanne letting me know that she was at the location and asked me to come to the van. Once I arrived to the van I see Joanne holding on to my wet and frightened dog. She proceeded to tell me there had been an incident and showed me the top of his head. Eryton proceeded to tell me what happened. Eryton had already trimmed off excess hair and was preparing my dog for his bath, my dog started flipping around, Eryton backed up to keep from getting bitten and to give him some space and waited for him to calm down. Eryton heard a loud thump and didn't realize he was cut until he proceeded to bathe him. Joanne asked me to inspect the tub which I did and there was no visible objects or no harmful material that could have caused that kind of injury. Joanne claimed it was a freak accident despite no evidence proving their corroborating story. What makes this story even worse is he called his wife first who lives in either Sun Valley or Sunland and waited for her to drive to Lake Balboa where I live before I was notified. When she arrived was when I was notified. I'm the owner of the dog and I did not receive the first phone call for this emergency. Mind you I'm only 50 yards away from the van. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened. A friend of mine has two senior dogs that were groomed by Eryton as well. Both dogs have severe warts and Eryton nicked every single one of them. He did this to not one dog but two dogs. The dogs were bleeding when they were returned to the owner. I used to take my 13 year old maltese to a local groomer for years. But more recently she started to develop severe allergies after returning from the groomer. Our vet suggested to try mobile grooming so we started to search for one. My dog has high anxiety so trying a new groomer was a challenge. We were referred to Cali pets by one of our neighbors. I texted the number given to me and Joanna responded and was so nice. It took one day for her to respond but it's understandable. I felt comfortable and scheduled an appointment. Yadira was the groomer that arrived at my home, extremely patient with my senior Labrador... we was scared to get groomed but she eased him and was very gentle with him. The long review is when my dog turned 15 she no longer could go in the car and she hated getting baths and nails trimmed so we would most often take her to the groomers. I hate the lion cut as I think it looks rather immature, yet they listened to the needs of my cats and my wants for the final look and they came out PERFECT! Both were given cute bandanas and my cats were totally chill upon picking them up. Honestly, it's worth it to pay these folks to come to you and provide their services. That way your cats aren't stuck at some random grooming location with loud dogs or pissed off cats. It's just them and aren't confined to a cage all day to air dry.
