Before I got my little puppy, I used to take my older dog to a different place in LA, but since I didn't have much time, I thought I'd try a new place near Northridge area. I was a little skeptical about this place when I saw the ratings here on Yelp, but I wanted to give them a try before I judge them. I took my 6-month-old puppy to this place for the first time today and my experience was absolutely horrible. When I brought my puppy back to my car, I noticed that she had a little dirt looking stuff on one of her nails. I took a close look at it and immediately realized that it was her blood. I took her right back to the place and showed it to the guy and he said "oh, her nail was too short." Shouldn't "I'm sorry" have come out first??!?! He also added "I know it's your puppy and all, but she moved a lot cause she's a puppy and it's only one so..., we also put quick aid too." This is exactly what he said. That really pissed me off, so I told him I would've appreciated his work more if he told me what happened in the first place and that's how it should've been handled. Then he said "it won't happen again," but he NEVER said "sorry" or "I apologize." So does he think that it's okay to hurt puppies because they're puppies? As far as the customer service is concerned, the guy wasn't as rude as some of the reviews said AT FIRST, so that was a relief, but when I went back to pick my puppy up after four hours, he had a little attitude (which I don't understand why because he cut my puppy's nail short). I paid $50 for a bath, hair cut, nail trimming, emptying glands, and ear cleaning. Although he quoted $45 when I called this place three days prior to my today's appointment, I didn't want to argue about $5, so I just paid $50 with my debit card. When I got my receipt, it didn't have an option for me to write the tip amount, so I ended up swiping again. Again, I don't know why he didn't tell me beforehand. It would've saved him some money on transaction fees, but maybe he didn't mind not getting some tips because he knew what he did. Now that I think about it, I don't even know what I tipped them. Her haircut is VERY uneven and looks patchy. I get that she's a puppy and it was her first time grooming, so maybe uneven haircut was inevitable. However, even when I trimmed her nails at home, bleeding has never happened before and that, in fact, is unacceptable for so-called professionals or certified groomers. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. They don't care about your dogs or puppies. If they really cared, this wouldn't have happened to my puppy and he would've sincerely apologized instead of trying to hide it from me. read more

Amazing!! This was my first time at this place and certainly not the last. The people who work there are super sweet and totally understood what I wanted from my baby's cut. I have a Westie and what groomers typically do is a really funny looking classic cut with long hair on the bottom and a big face; I told them that was the opposite of what I wanted, and desired Charlotte to have a puppy cut. I also informed them that every time my dog goes to the groomers, she comes back with a really bad ear infection, so to be careful around them. I picked her up today, after receiving a very convenient text that she was ready, and I'm so happy!! She looks and smells GREAT, and you can tell she feels good too. They gave her a cute little bandana, and I got her a squeaky toy because they also have a shop where you can buy pet accessories. I brought my Cavapoo here and they shaved his entire body. He had small mats on his ears and neck which I explained and instead of the groomer taking their time to try to brush them out and keep the rest of his completely good fur, they had him for five hours and shaved him completely. I can't even tell he is the same dog. Because he is so small and is now down to only skin, he is freezing and shaking. Never will bring him here again and definitely would not recommend. read more

We have tried going here several times and for some reason the guy always has an attitude. We called a few months ago and the guy turned into a smart ass when we questioned him about the rates. He quoted us $35 for a dog haircut. We called this week to set up an appointment after we were quoted that much, he called us liars and he rudely said that he would never quote us that, he charges $55 dollars for a dog haircut. We told him we had a flyer that said $35 dollars and he said it most not be his and that we were lying. Personally I don't trust dog groomers that are mean, if they are mean to a person, how do you think they will treat your dog? Best place to get your dog groomed and also the best place to shop for your pets. Prices are much cheaper than any other local pet shop.

Please be aware that they only groom "Fru Fru" dogs as you can see by the comments and pictures. Oh and if your dog doesn't need what comes with their "full grooming package" then too bad because they will charge you the same price. I questioned the price because I could not understand why I would be charged for a nail clipping and a cut if my German Shepherd puppy already had her nails clipped at the vet and given her breed did not need a hair cut. The answer was "well we still check the nails" The owners husband apparently felt uncomfortable that I was asking these questions so he did not take my dog to get groomed and asked that I go elsewhere. I did, and they only did what my puppy needed done, and I was charged half the price. After that I wouldn't trust these people with these types of breeds. I honestly think they just don't have the experience to groom other breeds than your regular poodles and shitzus. Thanks for the recommendation buddy. read more

Been here about 5-6 times already and they never fail to amaze me! They do such an amazing job and they're super nice as well. My coco smells amazing when i pick him up! The smell would last about a week since he mostly stays at home so thats a plus. They even put a little bandana at the end ! Would definitely recommend to all dog owners out there. read more

Horrible! Don't ever bring your dog here. I picked her up and her hair is so messed up and and uneven and they make an excuse saying oh she's a puppy and she moves a lot. Which in fact I was okay with because I know she can be hard headed but then one of her legs the entire paw was not cut. And when I called them to let them know of course they give me the "she moves a lot excuse." Absolutely ridiculous I will never bring her here ever again. read more

Very unprofessional. I made an appointment at 10AM, arrived to the store at 9:55 AM with my dogs. Had to take off work to bring them in. No one was there, lights were off, store was closed. Sign on the door says they open at 9:30am. I called the number on the door and the owner answered on his cell phone indicating that he was at a mobile grooming appointment and asked if I would come back 30 minutes later. So, I took my dogs all the way back home then called the guy 30 minutes later, no answer. Will be going elsewhere for dog grooming. This place needs to get their act together. read more

I posted my review below a couple of months ago. I was compelled to respond to some of the other peoples reviews on here because I find them hard to believe. I have never had any issue contacting the owners its usually the husband the one who answers. If they do not answer, I assume he's driving doing dog pickup/dropoffs or grooming so I leave a message. I always get a call back. Never in the 9 years that I have been going to them have I had any "rudeness" or hostility. Some people obviously have issues with affording their dogs hair cut. If you cant afford a dogs hair cut why have a dog ? Its obvious they were trying to get quality services for a cheap price (champagne taste with a beer budget) obvious by saying " go down the street its cheaper". The people saying the owner is rude it just a plain LIE!!!, some of the reviewers try to portray themselves as saints when writing their reviews, when I'm sure they walked in there with a cheap attitude. Don't base the quality of service of this business by these bitter people who didn't even get their dogs groomed here. My new puppies are now big enough to get groomed and have been coming here. They do such an amazing job and now sell cute clothes and dogs supplies. (ALSO SOME OF THE REVIEWERS ARE SUGGESTING A PARTICULAR BUSINESS ??? HMM FUNNY.) I highly recommend Pet Cuts to everyone ! But For some reason I noticed shes been scooting once in a while so i ask them if they express her gland and told me they did. 4 stars for our first time here. Being that this place is new we decided to try it out since the groomers we went to before were starting to do a sloppy job on Chanel. Location is a plus since its literally down the street. The staff is friendly and when we received Chanel, the groomer that attended to her came out and explained what was done. I gave them minus 1 star because we were suppose to get a call once she was done which was suppose to be 3 hours after we dropped her off. We received no call and since we were on our way and in the area we decided to stop by and check on her to see if she was ready to be picked up. They were just about done with her and although they didn't seem quite busy, i wondered why they took so long with her since shes a small dog. Price is $40 for grooming which is a decent price. Anyhow i will definitely come back and get more services done here! Plus side is they also have a day care which i definitely will check out next time. read more

I love Vilma. We've been going to her for a while, even before she moved to this new location. She accommodates my corgi who hates water on his face. I also take my miniature schnauzer and Vilma always does exactly what I ask for. Everyone here is polite and they text me as soon as my dogs are done. They carry the salmon treats that my dogs like and it's at least $1.60 less than at pet stores too. My sister brings her cocker spaniel and shihtzu too. So I had taken my Maltese here previous. They did a good job. So I have been literally calling these people for days so I decide to walk in with my puppy to see if they can take her. I say to the guy I have been calling for a few days. I have left messages and no response back so I was wondering if you can take her today or tomorrow. This rude guy says I been busy u know, I have customers and I'm full today. So I say ok I understand but how are your customers to know this if you never answer the phone or return messages left for you?? He looks at me and says don't you see I'm busy I said um no, I don't you were sitting here when I walked in. so I ask for an appointment to bring her back and this guy says I don't have any for you. If he is this rude in person, think about how he treats our dogs when we leave them there. If I can give no stars I would but for this review had to give 1 star. First let me start by saying F*** this place. I called to schedule an appointment for my dog. The person on the phone said sure come in did not ask the breed or size of my dog. I get there this morning and the owner says no he can not attend because he already had 4 big dogs. My dog is a German shepherd she's 11 yrs old. It took me 45 min to get her in the car she had a little panic attack on the drive then to get her out of the car took another 10 min. What a rude as person says to come in tomorrow 8am? Really? He said I didn't know she was big wtf why did I even make an appointment so unorganized and unprofessional going to blog blog blog I'm going to protest.! Do not go there !!! Worst people ever!!! BAIT AND SWITCH! That is what the man at this groomer obviously does according to other reviews and mine. He quoted me $55 - $65 for my Cocker Spaniel. When I got there and told him about where my dogs moles are so he doesn't shave them, etc. Then he said "Well, he is going to be $75 - $80. I said "Wow" and he said "if you don't like it you don't have to have it done." I said I would pay it because my dog REALLY needed a summer shave. He said "No, I don't deal with people that have a problem with my price", I said "I don't this time, and could you please do the grooming". I would have considered giving this place 2 stars but after this afternoon I think they deserve just the one star. The owners of this place are completely unprofessional! The first time I brought my pup here I absolutely loved it but after the first visit it was only downhill. My pup isn't as well trained as others but she is very kind and definitely does not bite! The owner(man) used the "she moved around and bites" excuse in order to charge me more when I know for a fact my pup has never bitten anyone. He also is very rude to customers who request certain things, He will not sit to comb out your dogs hair, he will simply shave it and he will tell you. Simply lazy. He has done this on more than one occasion so I stopped coming. This afternoon I called to try to schedule an appointment but my connection cut out so I hung up and called twice again afterwards and was forwarded to voicemail.
