She's got a "take it or leave it" attitude. I dealt with it for as long as I could bc my son loved it (the things one does for their child!) but I finally got to the point of "I don't need this aggravation in my life, especially for a service I am paying for", and so we left and found a new Gym that my son loves and who care about their customers.

The coaches are dedicated and caring, and it's clearly evident that they love what they do. My 6 year old has Coach Cam. She is exactly what I was looking for in a coach; gentle and kind but with a firmness that my daughter needs to help her focus. She physically helps the kids make sure they're doing everything correctly, to ensure they are safe and performing each step the right way. My 4 year old has Coach Kaelyn, who is the perfect coach for littles. She is sweet, patient, and provides a lot of feedback on my daughter's progress as well. I can tell my child is really learning in her class. We miss being greeted by Coach Courtney's smiling face every day! She made every child feel special, and somehow knew every single person by name. She truly cared about every single kid! I can't say enough nice things about the coaches there. I'm really happy with how much work they put in to make sure the kids are all learning to the best of their abilities, and I am grateful for everything they do.

After…read moresome research, I found that there weren't any classes locally offered to new moms, other than at Henry Mayo Hospital. And of course, their classes were only offered once a month. Unfortunately, they didn't work with my schedule. My main concern being a new mom was breastfeeding. I went online and tried finding a doula who would offer me a private class. Alas, I found Cali. What immediately impressed me was how quick she responded to my intro email. She was open to come over to my house, teach me the basics about breastfeeding and offer her advice postpartum. Cali was helpful, professional, and caring. Having my first baby with Cali's support made the experience that much better. So glad I found Cali!

It wasn't long until we felt very overwhelmed by all the decisions and challenges that faced us. One of our friends recommended that we hire a doula to help us with the process... and so the search began. We met with a few different doulas, however as soon as we met Cali, we knew she was the perfect fit for our growing family. We felt very comfortable with her, she was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, and her beliefs aligned with ours about the ideal birth. In addition, she offered us private parenting classes since our schedules were always conflicting with the hospital's classes we were interested in taking. In all of our meetings before the birth, Cali came prepared and ready to work. However, I always felt like I was meeting with a good friend. When my water broke 1 month early, Cali dropped everything to be at my side (even though it was her birthday!!) She even came to our house first to help pack for the hospital, keep me calm until my husband got home from work, and even installed our car seat (since we were so unprepared for such an early arrival!) I was a little unsure that I was going to be able to follow the birth plan we had put together, to keep things all natural, with no medical intervention, but with Cali's help, I was! She was calm and encouraging through my entire labor, and provided support for my husband as he coached me through a successful, all natural birth. We could not be more grateful. After the birth, Cali constantly checked in on us, and offered advice and help when we were having some difficulties with breast-feeding during her postpartum visit. We are so thankful that we can look back on our labor in a positive light, and we have Cali to thank for that. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a Doula.

Candice was so patient, kind, and never made me feel rushed or judged. She really took the time to watch, listen, and pick up on things I wouldn't have noticed, which led to a referral for a frenectomy that made a big difference for my baby. She referred me to Dr. Rumack, and she and her staff were also amazing. Thank you so much for the referral. Even though breastfeeding didn't go exactly as I planned, I felt supported the whole way and more confident advocating for my baby. I'm so grateful for Candice and highly recommend her.

The Kaiser lactation consultants were unable to answer why or offer suggestions so we were desperate. Candice responded to my inquiry so quickly and was so knowledgeable, so compassionate and empathetic, and so patient. Our whole family immediately felt comfortable with her and she was able to answer technical questions, was so professional but still very emotionally responsive, and most importantly, she helped us start our successful breastfeeding journey. I wish wish wish we had worked with her with our first who also did not latch. You can tell from the get go that Candice loves what she does and knows what she's doing. She offered recommendations for other specialists (our baby had a suspected tongue tie, which is something no other consultant or doctor had even mentioned) and offered ongoing help and checked in after our initial appointment. Price-wise, she's definitely affordable and within the range of what other consultants are charging. I think she also can work with some insurances as well. I continue to feel so lucky to have met and worked with her and highly recommend her.

Some time ago, after I lost my job at Bank of America. After a very long time of looking for work,…read morethis opportunity fell into my lap. One night at Trivia, a friend told me about a meeting where they were going to talk about teaching people how to make movies. Guaranteed Jobs afterwards too. This sounds absolutely awesome! After that initial meeting in the Santa Clarita Worksource center with Jimmy Lifton, I was hooked. I wanted to learn how to make movies. His fire and drive were thoroughly palpable and infectious. I signed up for the tour of the place. During the tour, I learned more about the program, and my responsibilities and options for Movie School. I could choose one of several tracks. Production Management, Sound, Camera, Grip & Lighting, Art, Makeup, Stunts, or Wardrobe. Basically, all of the jobs that are required to work together to make a movie. I selected Production Management, as my background skills in offices and computers would best transfer over and help me out there. Although I'd really liked to have tried Stunts. That group of guys were cool as heck. The program is government sponsored thanks to some new laws that recently went into effect. Susan Corey, the woman who runs the office was incredible. Since the Santa Clarita worksource location didn't have the funding, she called just about all of the other local Worksource locations looking for the $7500 to get me a seat in the program. Eventually finding me funding at a Worksource in Inglewood. After a trip to the Inglewood job center to sign some papers, my funding was secured. Once my payment had been secured, I was called by Larry Weisberg, the teacher of the track I had chosen to pursue. School was quite rough. Early mornings and long days of learning programs for a few weeks led into movie production. They've got filming studios, offices, sounds studios, editing bays and everything else that is needed to make a movie. I learned how to make a movie by actually making a movie. Jimmy had often said that "We're going to give you the opportunity to F*ck up, and then learn from it" The field I had chosen was effectively 'the brain' of the movie. Production makes the schedules and makes sure everything is in place each and every day so that the rest of the departments can do their stuff. First in, last out. Three months later, through much struggle, teaching, strife and growth, sixty strangers had learned the different fields and made a full on feature length movie together. It was great. After graduating, they even got me a job as Production Coordinator on a second outside feature. They're also constantly calling back old students for further job opportunities. The place is an incredible opportunity, and I will use the teachings even though I'm no longer in the movie industry. Although I've been touched by the craft, and I do want to make movies still. I'll definitely reach out to them when I want to make the silly thing I wrote. I'm sure they can help me out with all the parts I need. It's an incredibly awesome opportunity, and I am thankful for each and everybody I met while at LIMS. The Faculty, the students, and the place itself.
