By the summer of 2021 she wanted to try out for their Competition Team and made it. She has always been treated with love, support and grace by the staff and other dancers. We started Miley at SCSOPA when she was just 3 years old, and now she is 9. Over the years, Miley has had the opportunity to be involved in numerous music videos with major artists, commercials, movies, and, most recently, landing main-character roles. We truly believe a huge part of Miley's success comes from the training, guidance, and opportunities she has received through SCSOPA and especially from Miss Karen. SCSOPA offers so much more than just acting classes. They have talent agents there in person every Saturday morning, live workshops, live acting classes, Zoom classes, voiceover studios, and much more. Miss Karen also provides weekly Zoom classes with professional performers from across the United States and works with performers of all ages. We also hire Miss Karen for private lessons to go over Miley's scripts and help prepare her before auditions and casting. That personal preparation has been incredibly valuable to us. Now, we have our 11 year old daughter enrolled in SCSOPA! She is enjoying every single minute here. I believe this may be her second home. She enjoys the acting classes, the voice overs, teen runway, on-camera scene practices, etc. She loves it, loves it, LOVES it!!! A full month before the billing cycle, I came into the studio in person to cancel (check cameras to confirm) I spoke directly to your staff member, she took down my information made a written statement about my request, who explicitly assured me it was processed and that no future charges would occur. When I later questioned the unauthorized $250 charge, the owner informed me that this employee had since left the company. Your internal staff turnover and failure to update your software does not invalidate my legal cancellation request.The "student" who attended those two classes is my 16-year-old minor daughter. She was entirely unaware of the billing dispute and asked her father to take her to class. As the account holder who pays for and manages this membership, I had already canceled it. A minor checking into a class does not have the legal authority to validate a fraudulent charge or override a contract cancellation initiated by their parent. Attempting to use a 16-year-old child's attendance to fight a bank dispute and pocket $250 is shameful business practice. The bank has already independently evaluated this timeline, found the transaction to be unauthorized, and reversed the funds. I am providing this update to the bank to ensure the reversal remains permanent. -Review: Unprofessional Billing & Account Management Exercise caution regarding this establishment's membership cancellation process. Their contract provides no email or physical address for cancellations, forcing clients to request them in person.I visited the studio prior to my deadline and spoke with an employee who took my information in writing and assured me my account was canceled. Despite this, I was charged $250 on the next cycle.When I contacted the owner, Ivett, she refused to refund for their internal administrative mistake. She promised to call me back but failed to do so, instead sending an email to retroactively demand a written statement--disregarding that their own agreement provides no method to submit one. Because management refused to take accountability, I filed a dispute with my bank. Following a review of the timeline, my bank determined the transaction was unauthorized and fully reversed the $250 charge. I advice you document every interaction.
