My 5yo wanted to try out gymnastics and this seemed like a good place to start. She started in their educational gymnastics at 5 and learned a lot of basics. She is currently in level 1 and goes once a week. The teachers are all great and she has come so far in her skills in a short amount of time. It is not a full gym and if she decides to stick with it we will eventually have to go somewhere else but this is a good place to start that doesn't break the bank. read more

My son went here for almost a year I think. He really liked it here, and we enjoyed everyone that worked there because they were very friendly. It's well organized where a lot of things are done online. My son loves his teacher Miss Emily. It's fun for toddlers to run around the structures in circles with some structure through the obstacles. They also do some little activities like bubble time and using the equipment. My toddler was a little bit slower in following direction but everyone was very patient with him.We ended up stopping, because we are a one income family right now and it was about $60-$75 a month. Also, I know it's very normal, but I feel like my son would get sick a lot being around all the germy kids with a cough. read more

My daughter has been taking classes here for the last few months and is having so much fun. They're very flexible with our ever changing schedule and she has loved each and every one of the coaches/instructors she's met. They're great about keeping it fun and safe and building up confidence in the children while advancing their skills. 5 Years ago, we had one of our son's Birthdays there and it was such a positive experience for all of us. He loved the classes too! So, we recently decided to celebrate our daughter's special day there. She had such an unforgettable day, celebrating her 6th Birthday with all of her friends and family. The hosts for her party were Elisabeth and Talin and their service was outstanding. They kept everything fun and organized and kept the flow of the party moving smoothly. The children stayed entertained and the activities kept everyone focused on all the fun they were having! They took care of every detail and kept our worries to a minimum. With 3 children of our own, (ages 14 to 6), we have had our share of locally hosted "venue" parties and would have to say that Fun and Fit's Elisabeth and Talin are the best they come! read more

After covid they changed to Cal Elite from Fun and Fit gymnastics. My kids went there before and after covid total about 3yrs. This place will be a great start for little kids. I think my kids had a great introduction to gymnastics, but they don't do so much of skills training. They play hide and seek at the end of the class. Kids have fun but I started feeling that my money can be spent better somewhere else that has more structured training. They couldn't keep their trainers. Lots of trainers came and went. They had good trainers before. Also I didn't like the fact that it seemed like they are lacking diversity in staffing. another thing is, they cancel classes. They cancel the classes but they charge you. They offer make up classes only, they don't refund the class they canceled, but their makeup class schedule is limited. I had enough and left. read more

I really wanted to give this place five stars. However, it's hard to explain to little kids how they have to wear masks and parents have to wear masks, but some of the teachers can just put them under their chins and never--ever--wear them properly. It makes me wonder what other protocols are being purposefully skipped by the management. I have edited this to note that the vast majority of kids aren't wearing them, either...but I imagine this is a product of the teachers desire not to wear them, and not mentioning it to the kids, as it would really shed light on their refusal... I know it's not fun, but this is how outbreaks happen. Not to mention that teachers should be the example to kids...example of doing what's best for others. Not just pretending or pulling up the mask when someone is looking. That's no example to kids. I have been in here many, many times, and most of the time the teachers are attentive to the kids. However, I have watched some teachers with the little kids (say, 2-3?) be assigned one to a "class" and get distracted, leaving the littles to wander off, or even fall off of the equipment without notice. I watched as one parent had to get involved and walk her own child through the routine, as he kept wandering off and the teacher (one to a class) couldn't wrangle him back in. In an older class, I watched one girl (say, 11-12?) miss her landing and jam her foot on the metal stand of a balance beam...I cringed when I saw it, but her teacher was otherwise occupied, and didn't see it--and then when she noticed the girl on the brink of tears, she laughed it off...I saw the girl's spirit break and she then "put on the stoic face" to make her teacher happy. I'm serious when I say that must have really hurt! It made me want to give the kid a hug. Many kids do have fun, and I see that they really enjoy their activities. I can see the draw, but it seems the teachers aren't being supervised and taught how best to be attentive good examples to kids. read more

We decided to celebrate my daughter's first birthday here and it was honestly amazing! Elisabeth and Talin completely took over everything for me to the point where all I had to do was show up. Our group ranged from 1 year olds to 10 year old boys and girls and there were activities for every child! We had several special needs children there as well and the employees were very accommodating. One thing I really loved is that they played Disney music for our Frozen theme, it was so awesome! Not only did Elisabeth and Talin set up, clean up and help us pack everything up, they also communicated with me every step of the way and made sure everything was done the way I wanted it. We went for a birthday party today and out first impression was not good. Walking in, my wife and I looked at each other and tried to figure out the smell. It was like a combimation of pee, sweat and wet dog. My kids had a good time even though my oldest was yelled at by the staff. While eating she got up to get another drink was told "sit back down!" by A***y. My daughter said she was getting a drink and told "oh, ok". Great way to talk to a 6 year old. I definitely would not reccommend to other parents. read more

My 2 older Boys (5 & 3) have been going here since they were each about 18 months old. Love the staff & instructors (especially Miss Gia), and we REALLY love how much fun our Sons have each and every week. We also had a birthday party here for them last year and everyone had a blast! The parents night out service they do is a nice touch too. About once a month they do a party from 7:30 - 10:30 where you can drop your Dudes(Dudettes) off and go have a date! My son has been attending for about two years. The instructors have (almost) all been completely fantastic; they get the basics across to the kids, and have good attitudes and positive outlooks. I keep thinking "I wish *I* could hire people with these attitudes !". There is some turnover with the instructors but that is to be expected with 20ish folks doing the teaching - the most senior instructor Gia is fantastic and obviously loves kids. The facility is nice to be in, it's comfortable and clean, but everything looks very worn. They play music during the classes and I think that contributes to the kids being happy. You can do gymnastics from Level 1 to Level 6, and you get a chart to follow you child's progress from a beginner on all the way up. When I joined I was concerned about their "Philosophy" statements but no longer - they enforce objective standards and only move the kids between levels when they have enough of the chart items filled out. Compare that to social promotion seen in so many different places ! The special events (aka Parent Date Nights) they put on are good for the littler (up to 6ish) kids but once they get above that they don't hold their interests. They'll also have open gym nights every so often and those are fantastic for the kids, lets them get together in bigger groups and bounce around. When I started here I looked at the other gyms in the area, and thought this was the best one - that enforced standards and yet managed to keep everything fun. Will have my boy attending until he's Level 6 ! read more

I was truthful when saying that she was doubled up on the equipment with another child that was on the other side of the bar. You may want to recheck the events with your staff . Regarding the head coaches discussion with another parent, I agree that he is a caring person, I don't think he did it intentionally, however this was an extremely sensitive issue and it was poorly handled, I did communicate that at the time. No one is more disappointed with the fact that I had to take them out, as I wanted to find a home for them to do gymnastics, however my daughters accident was due to unsafe practices and not just a simple accident. My hopes would be that Fun and Fit takes my review to heart and makes the necessary changes. Best regards! read more

Come on people...I think we should be happy that we have such a place in our area for our kids to attend and infract and learn. Accidents happen everywhere. I have taken my child to different metrical Art classes and she started going to school since she was 2.5. I know the difference between a good and bad place. And Trudy, you need to teach your child not to bit other kids. and if your child does not fit in with majority of the kids, then you should evaluate you child's mental abilities and not blame an educational/Sport system for it! read more

My daughter has been going to Fun & Fit gymnastics for 7 months now and we are very happy with them. They make the entire experience fun as well as teach them ways to challenge their bodies. Normally my wife takes my daughter to gymnastics, however since I was on vacation I had the pleasure of taking her and seeing how good she has become over these last few months. As I sat there for an hour and watched her, I noticed how wonderful Ryan was with the kids and the other staff members. He was so energetic, caring, and definitely knew what he was doing. Not to mention he had a smile ear-to-ear the whole time. We have been attending Fun & Fit in Canyon Country for 2 years now (3 in April) with my daughter (6 yrs). She just LOVES going to gymnastics class. She adores Coach Ryan. She has learned to be confident, a leader, and that she can succeed in what she works hard at. She certainly strives to do her best and that's only carried on into her daily life with school work and at home. These are skill sets that she will carry with her for a very long time. I also enjoy watching her grow and gain that self confidence she's needed. As a parent, I love observing her work with Coach Ryan and the TNT "Trainer in Training" to learn new skills or work on existing skills. She always looks over to make sure I'm watching and when she accomplishes a goal, I cheer her on. Fun & Fit has been the BEST find for my family and I. Thank you SO much for this wonderful kid-friendly place and keep up the great work you all are doing there. PS...the Front Office has always been friendly and helpful when I've need anything. My first experience with this gym was less than spectacular. When I walked in the place looked dingy and run down. The woman at the counter wasn't very helpful or polite (also not to be too rude but her breath was so bad that I know I can't be the only one bothered by it) and there was a child who looked like her (who I'm assuming was her child) sitting on her desk eating. We decided to have one of our kid's try a free class (bad decision) and when we arrived for the class, our child's name wasn't on the list but the coach was pretty helpful in trying to find where she should go. I heard her ask the woman in the office which class my daughter was going to and she just answered "sure." That response upset me because I too was concerned about my daughter getting into the correct class we had chosen. We will not be returning to this gym. read more

What is there to say about a place that has you on a waiting for over 3 months for a TRIAL CLASS! I waited, got the call and went in for the trial. Upon entering the gym was dark and pretty dingy. There was one class of preschool aged children with 1 lifeless instructor. I stood by the desk and said I was here for the trial class and was given a sign up form with club policies and tuition info. On the back was a liability waiver so I signed the back and placed my name on it. I was told I needed to fill out the form in its entirety before my child can try the class. I told the girl I would fill out a sign up form if we like the class and enroll, (as I now NOTHING about the gym, instructor, class, etc!!) otherwise I am not giving personal information and MEDICAL info too! I was told it was club policy and that was the only way to try the class was by filling out the entire form, she said everything needs to be filled in but I didn't have to put medical info at this time... I have a background in Gymnastics for well over 20 years! I have competed and coached and helped small gyms grow their business... This place is highly unprofessional! The girl at the front desk is downright rude. The facility is small and dirty. The instructor on the floor was so lifeless and didn't notice a child who left the floor! (I should have trusted my gut feeling when I first called to inquire about the facility.) Wallers Gym Jam and Gymnastics Unlimited are far better options to consider. They are clean, professional, and coaches are alert and lively! read more

My three year old son just had his first class here today and absolutely LOVED it!! We tried another place last week (Hugo's) and I was not impressed with the coaches. I felt like they were not patient with my son. He has never done gymnastics before and like a typical three year old needs to be reminded to stay on task and listen. I felt like they would get exasperated with my son. Contrast that experience to the experience I had today at fun & fit with coach gia!! Amazing!! Gia has a great ability to keep these young children engaged, on task, and having fun while being so loving and playful! My son was laughing and smiling throughout the whole class. I love the non competitive atmosphere. I can tell this place will be loving towards my son and will build his confidence in years to come. I happily enrolled my son as soon as the class was over! This place is extremely unorganized, unfriendly and unprofessional. The staff was double charging me. When I called to let them know, the manager, was very rude and said that she was going to give me my money back, but that they normally don't do that. What? She acted like it was my fault. Also, they were marking my child absent almost every week which resulted in many email notifications. Once again I called this to the manager's attention and she explained that they are changing coaches constantly and they aren't properly trained. What? Which reminds me, they cannot keep a coach to save their life. My daughter had a different coach or sub for the entire year she attended. That says volumes! I'm only sad I didn't pull her put sooner. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO FUN AND FITNESS!!!! You will be extremely unhappy. They don't even get 1 star from me. I had to pick 1 star to post. :-(( read more
