The food was excellent. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was what I expected from a true Latin joint. It was a little warm, but I looked past that as the food won me over. Hot, fresh and delicious.

Was in Boca on vacation and was craving Colombian food . Did a yelp research & got this location which was another restaurant before Cali Ají . However Yelp has not updated the info . Decided to go inside and I was greeted by a young Colombian guy who was extremely friendly. On a Saturday they did not have anything readily available, everything had to be freshly made . I decided to order the bandeja Paisa which is a typical Colombian dish . After 15 minutes it arrived. It was not huge portion and not a small portion. It was perfect for 2 people. I tasted the pork first it was crispy and delicious. The rice beans avocado plaintains egg everything was delicious and freshly cooked . I would have loved to buy some bakery goods however they did not have any available.

I believe that the restaurant is owned by Colombians and there is a little bit more Colombian food particularly for breakfast and lunch options.

I've driven by El Patio countless times and always said to my husband "we gotta check this place…read moreout". Well we finally did. Once for soup and cappuccino around 2:30 and the last time for an early dinner around 4pm. On both occasions the restaurant was immaculate. And so was the gender less bathroom. The service was efficient and warm, and both servers preferred to speak in Spanish. And that's fine. Their menu shows Mexican dishes as well as Colombian dishes. And then everything else. Our soup the first time was a special. Pumpkin soup right before Halloween. It's a huge bowl and I mean huge not large. It was served hot as requested but was delicious. Our sit down meal was a breaded chicken breast with three - yes - 3 sides! The mashed potatoes were creamy. The yucca was boiled and delicious. We also had a mini chicken empanada in a corn outer. It had a touch of sweetness and was a treat for my tastebuds. I had the broiled salmon in their special sauce. The salmon was prepared closer to well done than any other heat and it was as requested. I'll order that again. Our eyes were bigger than our tummy's because when the chicken soup and veggies came, we asked that it be wrapped to go. There was a 1/4 chicken wing and foot in the container. Again, oversized. At $20+ it could be considered pricey. But once you saw how many ingredients there were and that think of chicken you're feeling it was worth it. We will return without question.

The mini grocery part has a lot of directly imported snacks and a lot of pre-made frozen items to take home. I purchase spinach arepas and regular arepas from this section to bring home, and some chocolate cookies from the imported snacks, and ordered an arepa for myself (can't resist! so good!). There are several tables and chairs next to the storefront window- a nice spot for working or hanging, both of which I have done here before. The location is easy to find, in a plaza at a major intersection.

I also decided to check out some of the frozen options. I've never had Marquesa but I LOVED it, I would describe it as a frozen layered desert, somewhere in between ice cream and tiramisu. Definitely would get again. I also bought some frozen precooked táquenos but haven't tried them yet. Inside there is a seating section and a market section. Overall expect to get really good food, downside is it's not fast (about 10-15 minute wait) and it's not "cheap".

You come to a cuban restaurant this is what you eat, staple dishes, there other things on the menu but if you want an authentic cuban meal this is the way to go. I noticed other people before we got there ordered other plates and their food took a bit longer. Just a tip go with the staple dishes ;) Why the four stars then? Well the ambiance!! Atmosphere was a bit boring and servers were a bit shy. If you been to Miami you know these restaurants are loud and fun. Maybe get maybe some live music or train better the servers, Just my opinion but the service and food was great! Thanks def coming again.
