The entire Edgefield property is absolutely huge, so it took us a minute to find the correct place to go, but once we did it was easy to park and make our way inside. The tasting room itself is located near all of their cider barrels in a cellar/basement area. It looks nicer than that description sounds! Lots of mood lighting, small tables, and it was fairly quiet, so we could easly speak to one another. The woman pouring was very sweet, and she served us two pours at a time (four total are included in the White Rabbit tasting for $10). She didn't tell us anything about the wines or the grapes, but I didn't really expect that with the price point. I did end up asking about what the rose was a rose of (GSM), but other than that there wasn't much technical conversation. The wine itself was pretty good. It wasn't anything absolutely spectacular, but the pours were VERY generous and for just $10, you won't see me complain about anything. We tasted a white blend, a chardonnay, a rose, and a riesling. Riesling is generally my favorite, and this was no exception. The rose was good as well. The chardonnay was a very buttery, very traditional style, which is not as much for me but is excellent for others. Overall, this was a wonderful experience at an even better price point. I would return to try the other flight they offer.

She created a warm atmosphere and strangers standing around tasting began talking with each other. I was absolutely pleasantly surprised with the Merlot and did not expect to love it so much. We ended up buying a bottle of the Pinot noir that I am very excited to share. It was light and really easy to drink. I'm not a wine connoisseur, so my language for wines is not professional. But what I can tell you is that you will not be disappointed if you come. Their pallet of wine profiles is extensive and you will find something that you will be so glad you tried.
