Mo and Bijan said they would come out the next day and diagnose for the cost of a one hour service call, but that they would apply the cost of the service call toward the repair if I have them do it. I said OK. They came out, met my wife at the house, diagnosed the problem, and were able to do the repair during that service call with a part they had on the truck. Total cost: $135.00. Saved me $900.00. My wife said they were super helpful and friendly. Guess who I'm calling next time? Thanks guys!!!

First American Home Warranty sent Mo. Short version is he never fixed the problem after a few tries. We eventually just dealt with it after being overly frustrated with the service we got. So last week we tried again. Sadly, First Am sent us Mostafa again. Who failed before. This time he came out not to fix, but to "diagnose and report back." He reported we don't have a required check valve, know in that "missing parts" is an automatic denial from the home warranty company. The problem? 1. A check valve is NOT required (only recommended), which he later admitted to the warranty company, but more importantly, my system has TWO check valves! Two! And they are really big and highly visible. This guy either has no clue what he's doing, or he's a total scammer hoping the homeowners don't know what he's saying and just accept the denial of coverage. Mostafa also left my heater on all night which costs me about $100. To top it off, he submitted a photo to the insurance company that was not even my equipment! I asked him to please let the insurance company know that he made a mistake in saying I didn't have a check valve, and to also please provide the code violation (which doesn't exist) that resulted in my claim denial. No response. Now first Am is sending me a new technician from a different company with barely higher reviews and similar reports of questionable actions. I'm nervous because the new person is asking who came before him. Part of me wonders if all of these home warranty guys are in cahoots. I hope I'm wrong.

I would not recommend Prestige Pool Services. My biggest issue was poor service and lack of…read moreaccountability. For months, I had visible algae in my pool. I raised it repeatedly and was told it would be handled on the next visit, but the problem continued. After I terminated Prestige, my new pool vendor tested the water and found nearly every level out of balance. After two visits, the algae was gone and the chemicals were back in line. Prestige's own service policy says weekly service includes brushing walls and cleaning tile, but that was not done consistently. I raised this multiple times, sent photos, and even purchased the cleaning chemicals they recommended. My understanding was that their team would use them during weekly service while I helped maintain the pool between visits. That did not happen. On one of their final visits, they serviced the pool and visible algae and buildup were still there the same day. There were other issues too. Pool gates were left open after service more than once, which is a serious safety issue. They also washed out pool filters into my landscaping, leaving debris in the plants and mulch. When I raised concerns, Chuck was dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of taking ownership, he pushed responsibility back on me and suggested I clean the walls myself or schedule a separate cleaning. The final issue was pricing. Prestige increased the monthly rate by 10% without my agreement. When I questioned it, I was told none of their other customers complained and that customers do not calculate their rates. The new quotes I received came in below Prestige's new rate and even below my prior rate. Between the poor service, algae, poor water chemistry, safety issues, poor communication, dismissive ownership, and above market pricing, I moved on.

All of the other contractors lacked transparency when it came to critical components of a remodel such as crack repair, brown coat and potential replacement of the skimmer & water features. Their quotes didn't have them as line items, instead they had a single footnote stating anything found after demo would be assessed and estimated. The Lillywhite bid included every "potential" cost item, with the understanding that they may not be required but at least they were included for budgeting purposes. In the end the team was able to save the skimmer, water features and the crack repair was minimal which save me over $6,500. The Lillywhite team exceeded all my expectations: 1. Transparency and Communication: From the sales cycle to the implementation there was full transparency and constant communication from James, Deborah and the back-office team. 2. Project Team: All of the workers were highly skilled and performed outstanding work. The always asked questions and engaged me throughout the remodel. 3. Cost: There were no hidden costs, and the bid was highly competitive. James worked very close with me to explain the process and discussed various options as part of the redesign. 4. Project Management and Communication Process: Their systems were very efficient in providing email updates on schedule and change orders. In the end I added 3 additional items (moved 2 jets, added glass to the pebble and added 4 mosaic turtles). Even with these additions I ended up over $4,000 below the original bid. The standout of the entire experience was Deborah. As both the owner and project manager, she delivered the best home project experience I have ever had. From the outset, it was evident that she was committed to delivering value, quality, and exceptional service. Thank you to the entire Lillywhite Team!
