Our pool service come with our rental so we have no choice. If I had a choice I would not choose this company. Our service guy spends an average of 10 min at our pool. He barely vacuums and doesn't sweep the sides. We always seem to be fighting algae. I'm pretty sure because we don't have a new pool, it is old... they treat it like it's old and don't care. read more

They maintain the pool and hot tub here at criterion placenta .. they don't answer the phone , the hot tub looks like hell and is green and filthy and the guy was just here .. oh and it's now not getting hot... they collect there money but don't maintain very well and they don't answer there phone and have no one to help on weekends.. read more

Cal Sparkle took over the care of my pool June 1, 2022 after I had an independent person maintain my pool for more than 25 years (he retired). I had my pool completely redone in October 2019 (very expensive). Everything was replaced. The following represents the damage Cal Sparkle caused to my pool. I have had several pool experts (both residential and commercial) look at my pool and analyze the water. The cyanuric acid in the pool is too high and is eating into the plaster. There are white splotches and lines on the bottom of the pool. The technicians tied the pool chemical dispenser to the middle of the vac line and as it traveled around the pool, it left the white spots and lines on the bottom. These spots are from improper chemical balance eating into the plaster. Additionally, the service tech was going to clean my filter, could not get the knob off, said he would get another one and return. He never returned and the filter is a mess. The last time he was here, I pointed out the algae in the pool and he said he would brush and chemically treat the pool. Three days later the algae was worse. During this time, Cal Sparkle said the wheels on my vac were probably causing the problem and replaced them to the tune of $75.00. The first tech that came out quit before the second week of my service with Cal Sparkle. Cal Sparkle discontinued my account at the end of the month, leaving me without service. Cal Sparkle is blaming this on the pool company because they used grey plaster. Hmmmm, chemical balance was off and Cal Sparkle did not check this. Nor did they seem willing to resolve this isisue with me, instead playing the blame game. The upshot of all of this is that I now need to have the pool drained (can we say drought) and acid washed, which is going to cost more money than I budgeted or should be spending. This company uses technicians and my thinking is that they are not well trained. I have now hired an independent, highly recommended person to take over the care of my pool. It is going to take time to repair some of the lesser damage. . I am continuing to look into my rights regarding Cal Sparkle's damage to my pool. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY read more

I hired this company thinking try would be honest. Wow, I couldn't be more wrong! The person they sent weekly hardly did anything! I watched him and timed him, he hadn't spent 8minutes at my house and he was already leaving! When I stopped him, and pointed everything out that he missed, he had to stay an additional 25 minutes! My pool suddenly got a lot of algae in it, and they did nothing to get rid of it. Conditions levels are high, and no one called me to tell me anything was going wrong in the water testing! It's now costing me hundreds of dollars to correct what they did wrong!!!! Do Not use them!!! Keep your children safe!! read more

My main circulation pump needed to be replaced recently. John the owner was the first person to return my call and he came by for an estimate the next day. I had talked to the guy at my local pool supply about the energy saving features of the Pentair Whisper Flow variable speed pump. That was the pump I was looking for. They also replaced a Jandy valve and did some other pool plumbing work for me. After the work was completed, I had questions about the upgrades done to my system. The questions were answered fast and they even returned to walk me through the changes again. This company is top shelf, I recommend them highly. read more
