They also sell hand-made sandwiches and barms where you can pick whatever filling you wish but they are a little pricier and not as good as their bakery. However, if you're on a diet, this will suit you. Other prices are generally cheap and worth the money you pay. Everything is home made at the shop courtesy of a long and successful running business. I hope Phil Manion continues the way it is for many years or even decades to come because it has that uniqueness you won't find anywhere else.

For just £1, you could buy a double cheeseburger with a combination of salad and condiments of your choice. It is probably due to the worn down, and tired look of Garston Village that exacerbates the feel of Wilsons but the lady's here have been making fresh confectionary for, well, decades! My mum and aunties have bemoaned the collapse the Garston Village and have used Wilson's as a yard stick of this fact when there was once queues around the corner on Saturdays for Wilson's breads and cakes. Today, the selection is limited but small bakeries are one of those rare outlets/businesses in which you can really experience the tangible reward of local, fresh goods. How many of us can actually resist peering through the window at the iced buns and cup cakes when the smell of fresh bread hits you from down the street. Wilson's may look old but it will take you back to childhood when sticky jam and icing covered fingers were a daily enjoyment.
