The chicken was perfectly crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can tell everything is made fresh. What really stood out though was the amazing customer service from owner Peter pollo himself, super friendly, welcoming, and they made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to whenever I'm craving some great fried chicken! You must eat the chicken topped fries like a pie. Eat it from the top down, not just the top layer. Oh and their corn bread, ugh, delicious

Pete, the owner is super friendly, and even offered us some corn bread, which was awesome! The corn bread reminded me slightly of pound cake with all the corn bread goodness. May 30th is the last day Pete will have his red food truck. Next time I visit it'll be a shiny yellow truck! I have ordered the chicken wings, loaded pork belly fries, and the chicken sliders. All of which were tasty. The chicken wings were juicy and the mango habanero sauce has a nice kick. I do wish they retained their crispiness a little longer. I had one in the parking lot which was yummy! But by the time I got home they weren't crispy anymore. The pork belly fries are a must try! Pete recommended this one and it is good. The chicken sliders are great too. The slaw that goes on is what makes the sliders special. The truck is located in a parking lot in front of a car stereo store. He's here in the evenings and there are lots of spaces to park. Plus there is also a taco stand across the street. Great little place to get some late night munchies.

Like others commented the price tag for what you get is paltry. The lobster was good, and butter is always good, but small. Maybe I'll have to go to Boston instead.

Well that did not happen to me when I finally got to try a Lobster roll from the famous LobstaTruck. A few years ago I was at the Tustin AMC when I saw the truck. I had heard about it so we went over only to see a line that was 40 yards deep. No way to make our movie so we put it off. A few months ago I was somewhere that they were going to be only to learn that the truck broke down and the killer was last month when I was in Irvine and saw on Twitter that they were a couple blocks away. I finished my meeting and drove right over only to see the driving away. Aaahhgggg!!!! So today was a few miles away in Long Beach and decided to try the roll. I was shocked to find that there was no line and only a few marines that had just picked up their orders. I was surprised to hear whether I wanted butter or mayo. I thought I all rolls came with mayo but I asked what was more popular. The gal mentioned that the butter was more popular so I had to try that one. I was thinking about adding the extra meat but I am glad I didn't, the roll was perfect although I wish it were a little bigger. The roll here comes on what looks like a giant buttered Texas toast, not the hoagie type roll I was imagining but the toast was really delicious and adds a lot of taste to the roll. My roll had plenty of meat and had a few big chunks that you can really bite into. It had some butter on the lobster but not so much that it was oily. Just perfect. I cant believe how good it was to taste this awesome explosion of deliciousness and I cant wait to get back to try the sandwich with mayo; you know for research. Next time I will also try the lobster bisque soup. The Marine that was eating next to me also had the soup and it really made me crave it but I had a big breakfast this morning and so I will have to chase down this truck again.
