Upon entry the bar was packed, so I sat at a seat behind the bar. There was initially a delay in service but, once it started, all went well. I enjoyed my seafood boil, drinks and music. I am looking forward to returning.

She said she wanted crawfish and calamari so I did a quick Google search of something local that had decent reviews. We ordered a pound of King crab and 2lbs of crawfish and 2 boiled eggs in our boil. The king crab was $78 a pound (must be fire right?!) NO! It was overcooked and salty. The crawfish tails were about a nickel to quarter size. Looks like the pack you get for 999 frozen at Wegmans but they are priced for $1699 a pound here. No eggs but they have two extra potatoes. No one spoke when we walked inside although there is a stand at the door.. I had to speak first to ask if we get sat or seat ourselves... Our server barely spoke... didn't give us a name.. we first ordered the garlic bread which came out dark, brown, burnt and hard with a dipping sauce of liquid garlic butter... Not what I expected so I sent it back. She pretty much stayed away from the table the entire time. I ordered a drink as well... I heard the drinks were good here, but this was not the case tonight. I spent $195 on food we didn't eat, but I did not feel like going back-and-forth with the server considering she was already absent so I just took it as a loss paid my tab and now I'm writing a review instead. Safe to say I will not be going back. I truly hope other people read this review and decide to go somewhere else unless you like to complain. For the price this experience is laughable but not in a funny, more of a laugh so you don't cry type of way... Like literally I feel like this whole night was a joke, but it wasn't. It was a very expensive unpleasant unsatisfying meal with their mandatory 18% gratuity so

She was so friendly and made my experience a great one. The margarita flight she made was strong and delicious. I ordered from the 3 course restaurant week menu, which had a nice variety of choices for each course. I chose bayou rolls, steak with mashed potatoes and greens (it came with broccolini but I loathe the bitterness of broccolini so I was able to sub for greens), and white chocolate bread pudding. The bayou rolls were slightly salty but they were still good. My steak was overcooked but I don't believe in sending meals back. The bartender brought me some melted garlic butter without me asking and said, "I believe it was supposed to come with a glaze but they ran out. I figured you would like the garlic butter instead." I really appreciated her because it did help me to eat that dry steak. The white chocolate bread pudding was to die for!!! It was so good and warm and the ice cream was the cherry on top. I returned a month later because they were doing a surprise deals. At the conclusion of my last visit, I was given a sealed envelope to open at my next visit to see what my surprise was. I was surprised with a free cocktail. I got the Blackberry French. It was good but not very strong. I also got charbroiled oysters and a catfish sandwich. Both were great although my fries that came with the sandwich were a little soggy. The service at this visit was good as well. I will definitely be back soon for happy hour.

Came to Ms Toya's after seeing a FaceBook red featuring the restaurant, and I was NOT disappointed…read more I love that it is in a shopping center with plenty of parking. It was 3 of us and we were able to get seated right away. The restaurant itself is cutely designed and very spacious. I always love the open duct look, and the area with the grass wall is a cute photo op. The menu has a lot of options from small plates to entrees. I chose the Cajun salmon recommended by our waiter Shaccari. I had it with the Mac and cheese and collard greens with corn bread. I have no complaints about any of it! The salmon was cooked to perfection! Loved the cork screw noodles in the Mac and the greens were A1. My friends said they could've been more tender but they were perfect to me! I do like my vegetables with a little bite tho. And I don't know what kind of honey they use on the corn bread but babyyy SO GOOD ! Our waiter Shaccari was excellent. He had plenty of recommendations, was funny and sweet. Everything came out quick but still fresh! I got their fresh squeezed blueberry lemonade to go, and that was also really good. I will definitely be back whenever I am in the MD area! Some of the other locations have mixed reviews from what I have seen but Baltimore is it!

Great portions and taste like home cooking. I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The restaurant is inside this building that has other restaurants inside and a bar. I forget the name though. Nice concept. The building has open windows all around so you can see the different restaurants inside. I'll be back in this area pretty soon and will definitely come back to enjoy a meal that tastes like good creole home cooking. Pictures do no justice.

The Creole salmon and grits topped with shrimp were rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. And the beignets? pillowy, layered and flaky and warm. I kept telling my partner they taste like heaven, I can't put it into better words than that! We also had the fries and their jungle juice, which was bold and unforgettable. It looks like tea but it's all juice! It's clear the love and intention is put into everything coming out of that kitchen--and to top it off, the head chef is so sweet and friendly. You can feel the passion not just in the food, but in the whole experience. It's located inside R house, so the ambience is modern, with a few southern touches behind the counter! If you're craving soulful Southern comfort food with real depth, Creole Soul delivers. Easily one of the best soul food meals I've had in Baltimore so far.
