The technology they use is very new, so expect that to relflect the price, especially if you have insurance like United Concordia who doesn't like to pay for anything other than a routine cleaning and the most basic type of filling (even then, they only pay half). If you get the new type of fillings, with the ceramic prints... they're pretty amazing. United Concordia will cover part of it, but not all, so be mindful of your insurance. Since it's my back molars, I needed the stronger filling, so it was worth it in the end for me. This office is awesome, but not all offices in the "Smile Generation" portal are as good, so be careful when choosing a doctor on the portal.

I also was previously referred to a dentist by my ENT for clenching/TMJ. I highly recommend Dr. Avril and his entire staff. I found Dr. Avril's numbing injections to be the most pleasant (if that can even be a thing in Dentistry.) After fixing the imminent issue, I scheduled a cleaning with Dawn, one of the technicians. Every visit was "fun" (again, I don't associate fun with Dentistry,) however, the staff made me comfortable and were very personable. Danielle, his assistant, was a great compliment to his fantastic work. My final part of my clenching/stress saga, now that my crowns are installed, is the night guard. Dr. Avril has the latest technology and was able to take a mold of mouth with a digital wand. I don't have dental insurance and found the fees to be reasonable/typical dental fees. Major bonus is definitely the TVs. Who wouldn't want to watch Schitt's Creek while having dental work? What would you think when an unnecessary procedure is done and then not only are you charged for the procedure but you are expected to pay 400% more than what the dentist would accept in payment from the insurance company? Our insurance identified an unnecessary tooth build up procedure for a cap. The insurance had paid for the same procedure for several other caps. However, the facts the dentist presented in their original claim, a 2nd appeal and my patient appeal were review by two on staff dentists by my insurance company and denied as unnecessary. Taking advantage of seniors seems to be the name of the game in Florida. We don't support those that stick it to the customer. When you use this dentist, you sign a form that basically is their blank check. Very disappointing. We offered to reimburse the dentist in the same amount as the dentist had accepted from our insurance for the same procedure in the past just to close the matter and move on. The office manager said the payment had to be 400% more - $300+ more. Another interesting bookkeeping practice is that from our experience they overcharge for the patients portion of the visit and then you end up with large credit balances for the overpayments. Sometimes we had to remind the office of our overpayment and sometimes they told us of the overpayment. I would never recommend the dentist based on these practices.

Though they charged more for oral surgery but never used a scalpel they just yanked the teeth. Also, they neglected to give stitches, maybe for one tooth removal bet, use the other side of your mouth unfortunately, it was on both sides of my mouth, so expect to have gauze in your mouth so the blood clot stays for at least three days. Also, expect no painkillers..... don't even expect ibuprofen 500, go take some OTC Advil and Tylenol, and you'll be fine.... Then when you text them "because your mouth is swollen" they will argue with you over text and try to explain to you why they didn't give you any pain relief or any stitches or any antibiotics because on tooth was infected. So feel free to risk it. Also on a personal note Dr. Seth McDuffie is a cold robot who will have conversations about not wanting to be around his wife while pulling teeth and he can't understand why people spend all their time being around their spouses.....
