One-Star Review for Endodontic Specialists, P.A. (Brandon, FL)…read more My wife, Lu, had a root canal here on September 13, 2024. Since her insurance had no funds left, we paid $1,017.10 in full upfront. The procedure was fine, but his billing department is a nightmare. This situation is complicated, so let me explain the timeline. Lu first had crown work done at SmileWrite Dentistry, our longtime dentist, which maxed out her insurance benefits. When she later needed a root canal, SmileWrite referred us to Dr. Soliman. Before scheduling, we informed his office that insurance was fully used and negotiated a cash price of $1,017.10, which we paid in full. Despite this, his office double billed us--charging insurance $836 for the same procedure we already paid for. That money should have gone to SmileWrite for their legitimate claim, but instead, his office took it without our knowledge. When we caught the error, they refused to void the claim and instead offered a refund--but for $80 less than what they took. Sure, $80 isn't a huge amount, but it's the principle--they knowingly took money that wasn't theirs and won't fully correct it. It's been four months, and even after agreeing on a call with my provider and insurance rep to return the full amount, they still haven't. This isn't a simple mistake--it's shady billing. Dr. Soliman, do you know your billing team is damaging your reputation and referral relationships? SmileWrite has sent you many patients, yet your billing department's refusal to fix this has also prevented them from getting paid for legitimate work. That's no way to treat the people sending you business. After four months of trying to resolve this, I had no choice but to write this review. We've also filed a BBB complaint and are waiting for a response. Dr. Soliman's office, do the right thing--refund the full $836 so SmileWrite can be made whole.

I have to start by saying--I absolutely hate going to the dentist. So when I found out I needed a…read moreroot canal, I was extremely nervous and upset. I searched through reviews to find a dentist who could make the experience as stress-free as possible, and the reviews about Dr. Tsatalis at the Riverview office were absolutely right--she is fantastic! This was, hands down, the best dental experience I have ever had. Even before meeting Dr. Tsatalis, her assistant Sonia took the time to calm my nerves and make me feel more at ease. They are a terrific team! If you need endodontic care, this is the place to go. I never imagined I would be writing a positive review about a dental visit, but they are that good!

Wife stresses w/dental dam in back of her mouth and could not go through with root canal. Dr. had zero empathy towards her anxiety. Canceled and left and only received $86 refund. When I questioned the refund, I was told the prices were an "estimate." Almost $500 for a consult, not to mention what they submitted in the insurance claim.

Just had the worst experience ever at this office because of the very rude office manager. I went…read morein for a consultation for a fractured crown at the direction of Wimauma Dental only to be told upon arrival that I needed to pay $275 just for a consultation. I asked to speak with Dr.Kellogg to explain my situation and give him feedback on how unprofessional the manager was telling me that the dentist isn't free and she can't help that I didn't receive the texts they sent and closed the door so he couldn't hear her and refused to let me speak to him. I just left after sitting there for over an hour hoping to speak with Dr.Kellogg who just performed my root canal 2 years ago. The insurance won't cover another crown until 5 years from receiving one. I was trying to resolve this as instructed with the dentist before filing a grievance with the insurance company and I guess I have no choice now. Dr.Kellogg is a nice guy but that front office staff needs coaching or he's going to lose customers.

Everyone greets you with a smile and takes the time to make you feel comfortable. The hygienist was extremely gentle and thorough. She walked me through everything she was doing, gave helpful feedback on my at-home care, and even demonstrated proper flossing technique using a model, which I really appreciated. It didn't feel rushed or impersonal at all. What I liked most is that there was absolutely no pressure. They clearly explained everything, showed me pictures, and were very respectful of my pace. When discussing future work, they said we could go over it at my next visit so I wouldn't feel overwhelmed--that meant a lot. Overall, the team is professional, kind, and genuinely caring. I'd gladly drive the extra distance to keep coming here. Highly recommend.

I was in some pain (5 out of 10) They said they could perform the work right away and sent in an attractive young lady who told me my portion would be $1415.10. I was thinking "I thought I had excellent insurance thru Delta, but maybe I was wrong" She kept pushing "pay the amount and you will be all set, your pain will be gone and the work will be complete" I felt like I was at a used car dealership, I'm in sales and recognized the sales techniques. Against my better judgement I had the work performed. The assistant Michael was very polite and caring, the dentist was nice, it was a tough extraction but she did it successfully. The next day, after the fog wore off I checked with Delta Dental Insurance and discovered MY INSURANCE WOULD COVER 80-90% OF THIS SERVICE.!!!! Also, the Delta Rep told me the maximum reasonable and customary allowance was around $770.00. THEY CHARGED ME DOUBLE.!!!! (They did give me a small discount $141.00) which I appreciated. How can a business do this to a customer???? How can they sleep at night treating people this way????? My primary dentist I go to in Riverview is SO awesome and ethical. She charges the required amount and does not over-sell you on anything. Maybe I got spoiled. Please beware. I not necessarily recommending you avoid this office, just be knowledgeable on your rights and what your insurance covers. Don't become a victim. My name is Robert Melio, I have lived in Brandon/Tampa area 31 years, and stand 100% behind the validity of my statements and I appreciate websites like Yelp to warn others. Thank You..

Dr.King is wonderful! I like her staff and that matters too. I would like to warn all patients that the receptionist at this office will sign you up for…read moreinsurance and without telling you she also signs you up for automatic renewal. I had Joan sign me up for a dental plan in 2019. She signed me up for automatic renewal without telling me and I was charged for 2020, 2021, and again in 2023 without my knowledge. In that period I went to the office and had work done without insurance paying anything. They quit accepting that plan after 2019. Then she sells me a new plan in 2022 and I soon discover I had been paying for the first one for three years without any benefit. I complained and they cancelled my insurance without reimbursing me for anything. I knew I would never get my premiums back for the first plan but they should reimburse me for the second. They have ripped me off of 150 dollars and when I disputed the charge they refused to settle the dispute. This was Joan's mistake, she never asked or told me she was signing me up for auto renewal. This is so wrong. Besides that, after spending over 10,000 for crown replacement my mouth has never been right. My mouth bothers me constantly now and 3d xrays don't show what is under the crowns but something is not right. I would advise you all to stay away from this office, you may learn to regret it as I have.
