I have never liked the way anyone else has done my makeup, but I decided to take a chance with the Buy With Me voucher. My friend and I went to try it out. I was looking for something different. And after, I definitely looked different. The eye makeup was way too much for my face, and made my eyes look tiny. The dark extended from my crease to my eyebrow and even in my inner eye. Almost like a super intense smokey eye. I am warm colored, but the eye and face makeup used was cool. I looked sickly, and from far away like I had been punched in both eyes. Even my friend, who is usually positive and looking for the best, thought I looked awful. She was underwhelmed with her results too, and she'd gone to learn makeup application tips. The owner was gracious enough to redo my makeup. Both women were so sweet to myself and my friend. I tried to find things to purchase after, but I have more color assortment in my own personal makeup drawer than I found in the store. I'm sure this is a wonderful place for weddings... I feel bad writing this review because of how lovely they treated us, but I just felt underwhelmed and ugly looking at myself when it was over, which is the last thing you want after you've gotten your makeup done. My friend and I both went home and washed our faces. My only tip is to just be very specific with what you want. I said do whatever. And I got whatever.

It was especially relieving after having a trial with a different make up artist that wasn't the right fit for me. Lynne worked with me to find the perfect look for my wedding. She also learned how to place an Indian veil during our trial, and it looked perfect and felt comfortable on my wedding day. I chose to go with Lynne because she doesn't just go with what's currently trendy, even though she has all the capabilities to do that if that's what you want. She is more experienced than all the young and hip beauty experts out there today and therefore has a much better understanding of clients needs and desires. My favorite thing about Lynne though was her calm and soothing nature. I had a morning wedding and she arrived very early and on time for our appointment. She kept me relaxed the entire time that I was getting ready. It was especially nice after a stressful evening before with many issues with our wedding venue and vendors. Lynne also did light makeup for mom and mother-in-law without an additional charge. I definitely recommend Lynne to anyone who want an experienced, talented hair and/or makeup artist.

Jenny gave me an effortless, clean look -- I felt like myself but also the most beautiful I've ever looked! During my trial, Jenny was informative and thoughtful with the looks I wanted in both my eye and hair. She remained flexible during the trial when my hair was too short for the hairstyle I wanted. I was so surprised when she showed up on my wedding day and exclaimed "Your hair grew!" (and I was able to get the hairstyle I wanted!). It shows how much she thinks about and remembers each and every one of her brides. My mom told me afterwards she made her feel so beautiful -- and that was so important to me. Jenny is so kind and knowledgable. She was responsive and clearly has a ton of experience -- I highly recommend that you hire her for your special day!!! You will absolutely not regret it.
