Ashley and Jen are extremely professional and easy to work with. I found the Makeup Artists through a google search as I was looking for a makeup artist to travel to Aruba for my wedding. In addition, I had her do my makeup for a Boston reception event. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ashley and Jen. I had my first trial with Ashley Shind and Jennifer Guild and was immediately impressed with both their skills. I had searched and found that my options were limited as the only other people I could find was through a mutual friend and the price she was looking to charge me was absolutely ridiculous. Ashley met my sisters and sister-in-law for a trial and everyone was amazed. If you met my sisters, you would realize how picky they are about their makeup. Ashley was easy going and took their comments and was able to have a great time doing their makeup. Her easy going personality and professionalism were outstanding the entire time we were in Aruba. She did makeup for both the rehearsal dinner and wedding day. Jen also did a fantastic job. Most of us wore our hair down with a few curls for the rehearsal dinner. Realizing the humidity during the evening, we all realized that updos were going to have to work because it was just too hot. She did everyone's hair except my sister Ashley and did a phenomenal job. My mother and sister-in-law, who normally do minimal amount of hair and makeup, absolutely loved their hair and makeup and both Ashley's and Jen's personalities. They mentioned that their level of detail and communication made they feel at ease and comfortable with the amount of makeup and hair style. Both Ashley and Jen, were always professional, on-time, and most importantly very talented. I wish I could have these two around everytime I go out. My husband, who knows little about makeup and hair, commented on both my and his sister's hair and makeup and was really impressed with how great, but also how we didn't look like a completely different person, just a super-improved version. I also got many compliments on the entire bridal party's hair and makeup. As I said, my sisters are all very particular about both their makeup and hair. My mother was a hairdresser, so she is also very hard to please. I will attach some photographs so that you can see how great everyone looked. I had the pleasure of meeting Ashley on May 16th, the day of my baby shower.. I was due in 14 days, on June 2nd. We exchanged a few emails, I went through her website, and it looked like she could do amazing work. Being 9 months pregnant I wasnt exactly feeling my hottest. I was having a huge jack and jill baby shower and knew there would be tons of pics taken so I decided to get my hair and makeup done before the event. She arrived promtly with a smile and I was super excited. My oldest son who was 8 was there, and so wasn't my sister, who was 13 at the time. Right away they liked her because they said she was "so pretty" lol. She started with my makeup, asked me what I was wearing and what I would like it to look like.. I gave her an idea and she went with it. As she was doing it, the kids were asking her tons of questions and she was answering them all with a great attitude while giving me a smokey eye. She gave me fake lashes, an amazing smokey eye, a perfect complexion.. when I looked in the mirror I was blown away! Being rediculously pregnant and feeling beautiful are ususally 2 different things but on that day, I felt gorgeous thanks to her. She made the kids happy with her great attitude and answers to all their pressing makeup questions, and made me happy all in a day's work. I would definitely hire her again for any upcoming events and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to look beautiful (who doesnt?) I was recently the Maid of Honor in a wedding and Ashley from The Makeup Artists was hired by the bride to do everyone's makeup. Ashley did an amazing job air brushing my sometimes problem-skin to perfection. She also applied false eye lashes with skill and no discomfort and they ended up lasting me the entire day. After the wedding I asked the bride for Ashley's contact information so I could use her for a gala event that I had been invited to. Using her contact numbers, I tried to reach her via email first, which she promptly responded to the same day. That's one more thing that impressed me; she is quick to answer questions and is very courteous with the way she responds. Aside from that, she gives a very reasonable price for her services. No wonder, she has a lot of clients. I got married on October 2nd and had the pleasure of working with Ashley! Ashley was referred to me from our wedding coordinator as we were having a "destination" wedding in Boston! I met Ashley originally prior to the wedding for my makeup trial! We hit it off right away and had a blast getting to know one another! I loved wearing the makeup the rest of the day as we enjoyed traveling the city! There were only 4 of us that got our makeup done, but boy was I thrilled with the turnout! With a room full of women and our photographer, we had hours of fun joking and watching each of us turn into beauty queens! The end result was amazing! As I look at the pictures, I am thrilled with the way she gave me such a natural look, but made me look glamourous throughout the whole day and through the night! Andrea and Brenna traveled over two hours to spend several hours with us on my daughter's wedding day. They are both very talented and professional artists who bring more than their professionalism in their bags of tricks. They are both beyond personable and accomodating; providing very customized service as well as a sense of peace and calm amongst the excitement of the day. The hair and make up of the bride, the grandmothers, the bridesmaids, junior bridesmaids, the mother of the groom and a very happy mother of the bride (me) was individualized and overwhelmingly fabulous. Zoe did my makeup for my wedding in August and I have been recommending her to all my friends since then. I can't say enough good things about the experience. Zoe first met with me for a trial run and made sure I was completely happy with my look before the big day. She was great at recommending what would look best on me, which I really appreciated. Andrea did hair and makeup for my mom, my sister, and me on my wedding day - 7/14/12. She was absolutely incredible! My hair and makeup were FLAWLESS, and I felt so beautiful and confident all night as a result! I had Ashley do my makeup for my wedding day. After a horrible makeup trial somewhere else, I was glad to find Ashley. She is really sweet and nice and even called me from Dunkin' Donuts to see if she could grab anything for me! My makeup was really awesome.
