We usually stay in Thomasville a town over but due to graduations in thallahassee as well…read moreeverything in tville was booked so our first time staying in an "outdoor" hotel. It's cute rooms are standard but NO ELEVATOR. I'm disabled and it took me a bit to get up the stairs apparently there were no bottom floor rooms open. I normally don't like "outdoor" hotels/motels with doors and rooms outside as opposed to accessing your room from inside the hotel due to safety and privacy but this was my last resort. Pool is clean (I don't swim I community pools anyway" toilet in our room was coming out of the floor had shimmies in it. It's fine for a place to sleep and last minute We stayed from Thursday May 2 originally to Sunday May 8th, we wanted an extra day with my son, at this point we could have picked ANY hotel but decided to STAY here an extra night, checking out Monday morning May 8th I'll admit it was very nice stay. The breakfast was well above and beyond, I have a picky family and there was something for everyone, even a pancake maker that "does itself" it blew my mind (it's the little things) LOL. The staff couldn't be nicer and more accommodating especially giving us the extra night at our original rate. If I was ever in the area again we would stay here. I had to go to the car at 3 am and was not afraid at all. It was well lit, no one around, quiet neighborhood (there are homes surrounding) small town. I will include pics. Of the pool. The pool was beautiful and looked inviting. If I wasn't a person who didn't swim in "community pools" I would have gotten in. I'm changing my review to 5 stars... they only need to fix a few things, the toilet coming off the floor (minor stuff) and new carpeting but other than that it was great

After waiting for a period of time I asked if I could get another room. I was then assigned to a second room. I stayed at family's home instead. On the next morning I went back to the room to check out and look for a pair of slides. To my surprise my room door was wide open and the room smelled heavily of marijuana. I went to the front office to make them aware. At first they tried to lie and say they cleaned the room and left the door open because the weed smell was strong. I went back to the room with housekeeping and the manager Mamu. They tried to say the bed had been made up. I pulled the covers back and I could clearly see my make up on the sheets. The housekeeper then changed her story and said it looked like it had been made up. I simply asked for some type of discount because apparently someone else stayed in a room that I paid for and smoked weed in the room. The problem I have is if I hadn't came back to that room they would have tried to say I smoked weed in the room and charge me for it. I asked them to run the cameras back so I could see who was in the room because I don't smoke cigarettes or weed. They wouldn't do it. They then called the police and asked me to leave. I'm still here because I was told the "other" manager comes at 1pm and they will be able to run the camera back. If you're thinking about visiting Cairo do not stay at this Hotel. Side note: There was another couple in the lobby asking for a discount due to someone entering their room while they were in the room. The couple explained they had a do not disturb sign on the door and the staff entered the room while they were in bed stating they needed to fix something. All I was asking for is a discount or something because apparently someone stayed in a room that I paid for. Upon further review I see that my military discount wasn't applied as stated when I checked in. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!!

It was close to all the places we needed to go in Thomasville. I loved the new furnishings and the spacious ambience of the hotel. At $110 a night, it is on the pricey side. We stayed two nights. We liked how impressive and clean our room was upon entering. The sensor light in the large mirror at the entrance was a nice touch. The bathroom shower was modern and the long shower there was a relief. There were very few to no concerns. I looked in the closet to use a spare throw blanket. I found spare bed sheets and a pillow with a blood spot. They have a Keurig coffee machine and coffee inside the room, a fridge, and microwave are free amenities inside the room, yet there is no free breakfast and coffee downstairs. They do have a small Shoppette to buy necessities and bistro to buy meals & drinks in the lobby. Two large hot coffees in the lobby cost us $18. The menu looked good yet expensive as well. We opted eating the snacks & food we had on us and buying a quick ready meal from Publix. If you want to stay a walk away from certain places and attractions in downtown, this hotel is very ideal & convenient.

The hotel room was not worth the price that I paid at all. The lady who checked me in at the front desk wasn't friendly and she seemed annoyed. There were times I felt as if she flat out ignored what I was saying due to her lack of response. I was given a WiFi password/code when I first checked in but was never told how to access the internet. So I ended up not being able to use it. Fortunately, the man who checked me out on my last day was much kinder. The room had an old feel and it could definitely use an upgrade. There was nothing really nice about it except that it was spacious. The bed was ok. The bathtub had drainage issues. About 1/3 of the tube filled with water while I was showering. For the complimentary breakfast, there were a couple of breakfast options which is always appreciated. The lady who worked in the breakfast area was very pleasant and helpful. I would not recommend this hotel.

I asked that they not charge for that first night since I had no control over my flight being cancelled. They refused, which is their right. However, if they are going to stand firm on policies, then they should provide a room that meets the minimum of a clean experience. I checked in very late the first night and when I got to my room the shower was wet and a dirty towel was in the shower. I normally would have asked for a clean room but I was so tired. I just asked for towels and cleaned the shower myself. UNACCEPTABLE. But that wasn't the worst of it. The last night I got back to my room very late and when I went to use the bathroom, the toilet handle wouldn't work. The toilet was clogged. So, at midnight I had to open the back of the toilet and stick my hands in the tank and unclog it myself. TWICE. It was disgusting and gross and the first time I've ever had to do that in any hotel. I called down and expressed to the lady working that night (she was the one that brought me the towels and took the dirty one the first night) everything that had happened and asked that she raise with management. I said that I would like a call the next day to discuss my experience. I'm sure that she relayed the message. Of course they did not call. So do not stay at this hotel. Yes, things can happen but it's how the company responds to bad experiences that counts. Best Western in Rose City didn't bother to apologize or respond. I'll remind you again - dirty used shower upon check in that I had to clean and a clogged toilet that I had to personally unclog myself TWICE.

Check-in was a breeze and they honor govt discounts unlike the Thomasville Hampton Inn which was 2x the cost. Parking and Wi-Fi are free. I even got sweet potato chips and water as a Hiltons Honor perk! The rooms are tastefully appointed with a sink, microwave and mini-fridge, lots of drawer space and nice toiletries. There's a large flat screen TV with HBO unlike Best Western or Holiday Inn which have no premium channels. I appreciated the luggage rack, dining tray, work station for my laptop and roomy shower with good water pressure. There's a night-light in the restroom! I did struggle a bit with adjusting the temperature. But my room was clean and quiet with a comfortable bed. I even had a view of the lake! I welcomed the free breakfast, particularly the fresh fruit cup, yogurt and pour your own waffles. The dining area was clean but the staff was a bit chatty. They ran out of waffle batter and sausage at 8am. It was refilled but the wait meant I had to eat in a rush. In a perfect world, the hotel would have a 1pm late checkout option and hardwood floors or pet-free rooms for the allergy prone. But you can't have it all! Overall, great stay. I recommend and will return!

We received clear instructions via text on how to download the electronic key app, along with the entry code and parking directions. No issues at all getting in. The room had electronic key cards for both the side door and the room itself, making it very convenient. Parking was easy--we parked at the park directly across from our room, within view. The streets were well-lit, and the area felt safe and charming. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with the A/C and TV working perfectly. The bathroom was impressively large as well. The building itself is adorable, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully decorated. My only suggestion would be to add a larger vanity in the bathroom, as there's ample space for it, and maybe a task light for makeup. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return if given the opportunity.
