We found the local area full of charm and enjoyed a kayak down the Withlacoochee River to Madison Blue Spring State Park and beyond to the next boat ramp. The room was so comfortable, from the temperature to the bed. The home cooked breakfast in the morning was a real treat. We are in the kitchen and visited with Irvin and Linda, and we truly felt like we were home. I cannot rave enough about the Fairview Inn! There is a lot to see in the main house and it just has a very chill vibe. We ate dinner in the main house and I tell you, Cathy sure can cook! We enjoyed every meal she made. She even sells a cook book of her recipes! This really is a hidden gem! It is walking distance to down town Monticello which offers some great places to eat and shop. They have wonderful antique stores, a fabulous coffee shop and a little bakery with some of the best treats. It's really a nice little escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life
