Stayed because there was a wheelchair accessible room with a roll in shower while husband was in the hospital. Room was excellent, ample room around bed & in bathroom to position and turn in wheelchair without assist. Bathroom well set up for wheelchair use without assist. Staff inquired if I had any recommendations re accessibility. Only one was having a marked van accessible spot. There were several handicap marked but no van marked Breakfast was good read more

Found a used razor in the shower tub from the previous person that stayed in my room. House keeping did come and clean the bathroom after i complained. I tried to talk with the manager before I checked out but I was told that would not be possible. I also asked for the manager to follow up with me via a phone call and he never did. This isn't just a cleanliness issue, its a safety issue. I could have stepped on it and been exposed to any number of diseases or fallen. The lack of customer service from this Hampton Inn is unacceptable. read more

Was VERY impressed not only with the room but level of caring by the staff. We made a reservation over the phone with a lovely lady who was there at desk upon our arrival. When we got to the room I was overwhelmed by all of the amenities not even listed within the website. We got a room with 2 double beds so the room was large. There was in the room: Fridge, microwave, one cup-at-a-time coffeemaker with 2 regulars & 2 decafs, creamer, etc., a hair dryer, iron & ironing board, closet, hangers, 2 "desk" areas & Direct TV (which we have at home so loved this) on a nice 35-ish inch TV. Free Wifi. The bathroom was immaculate and had vanity kit (Q-tips, nail file, & cotton ball), 3 soaps, shampoo & cream rinse, plenty of towels. It looked brand new as the room did! The white duvets are lovely & the sheets were also. 4 pillows on each bed. The bed spreads (the white duvets) are washed between each guest stayover & the room was so clean, nice & relaxing. The beds were so comfy I layed down in late after noon to relax a few minutes & fell asleep so beware of these comfy beds if you have to stay awake lol. Thermostat on the wall to control cooling so our room was kept just a WE liked it. The pool was OPEN & looked like it was new. New furniture, plants, & hardscape. Pool goes to 5' deep & is a nice size. The hut-tub/spa was really nice & if you need to relax get in! Please no bottles in pool area just cans. There is a handicap lift for handicapped folks who would like a swim! There is a covered smoking area with a bench to sit & a thing to put butts in by the pool area. Downstairs in lobby there is coffee made & all creamers, sugars, etc., so you'll never be without. Right now there is no Continental Breakfast due to the pandemic, but there are 2 snack stands if you need a bag of chips or some cookies to tide you over. Also sodas & beers. Prices are marked up on these items but hey aren't they usually. A big Thank You to Hampton Inn for a short trip to Thomasville & making our stay there perfect. read more

I had never been to a Hampton Inn before, so I didn't really know what to expect when I had to stay at one in Thomasville while I was in the area for work one night. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my brief stay there! As soon as I walked in to check in around 6 pm on a Wednesday night, I was welcomed by the delicious aroma of fresh baked cookies. Mmmm... Great first impression! As I checked in to a double occupancy room (since I was rooming with a co-worker), the employee at the front desk told us that they serve cookies and freshly-popped popcorn at 6 pm each night. However, she said she had just taken the cookies out of the oven and would put them out soon. So my roomie and I went up to our room to drop off our bags. Our room was on the top floor - the 3rd floor - of this small inn. We took the elevator up and as soon as we exited it to find our room, the stench of cigarette smoke hit me. Not good, I thought. I braced myself for what our room was going to be like if the hallway smelled that bad. Fortunately, I was pleased with our room because it did not reek of cigarettes and it looked pretty nice! The two full size beds looked comfy, and the room itself looked pretty up-to-date. In addition, there was a microwave and a mini fridge in the room, which is a nice touch. The bathroom was sparkling clean, and the bathtub didn't scare be because it looked pretty new as well. So far so good! After changing out of our work clothes, we went downstairs to enjoy the complimentary cookies and popcorn. The popcorn was yummy, and the chocolate chip cookies that I had were good, but not as great as they had smelled. We headed out to dinner after enjoying our snacks. The bed was plush and comfy, and I slept pretty well considering I had to get up super early the next morning and only got five hours of sleep. Since we had only stayed for one night, we packed our stuff up in the morning and went downstairs to check out and have our complimentary hot breakfast. In addition to the usual bagels, toast, cereal, fruit, and yogurt options that most "cheaper" hotels and inns offer as a "free breakfast," Hampton Inn provides "hot" items like bacon, scrambled eggs with pieces of steak in it, and home fries. They also had a waffle iron so you can make your own fresh waffle. Although the hot breakfast items weren't particularly great, they were decent - and I really appreciated them because I hate just having a piece of toast or bagel and fruit for breakfast, and I don't like cereal since I hate milk. Overall, the Hampton Inn at Thomasville gets 4 stars for their friendly staff and clean, up-to-date rooms. However, I would have really appreciated more electric outlets by the beds so that I could charge my phone by my bed. I had to unplug the lamp to plug my charger in, which was annoying. I had a great first-time experience at a Hampton Inn and have a very good impression of the hotel. I wouldn't mind staying at this hotel again in the future if I return to the area for work and would definitely consider staying at other Hampton Inns based on this experience! =) [Review 154 of 366] read more

I wish I could give no stars. I guess I cannot review my stay because they kicked me off my reservation without notice the day of. I traveled 5 hours to show up at check in just to find out they had given my room away to a Diamond member who called that morning. Yes, a room I booked 3 weeks ago was given away to someone who needed it within 24 hours. I am a Hilton Honors member, and I travel a LOT. I stay in hotels over 180 nights a year, so for this to literally be the worst experience of my career is putting it lightly. I even had a package being delivered from my work for a meeting the next day, and had to go back the day after being kicked out to pick up and go to my meeting. I spent a while on the phone with Hilton, and their customer service was shit too. Turns out if you're not Diamond, your business is not important to this hotel. Live and learn. read more

Wknd family visit hotel was decent room was fairly clean except for the tub it looked as though it had not been cleaned. No real complaints I mean the price could have been cheaper considering it was just a regular wknd.. lights went out the morning of check out.. a miserable morning trying to dress and pack with no lights and AC Glad I wasn't in the elevator because the lights were off at least 2hrs.. all in all it was ok I would stay there again read more

This is a nice Hampton Inn, not a brand new one but modern format. They have the standard features (wi-fi, hot breakfast, big beds, pool, workout room) plus mini-fridges in rooms and a "managers reception" weekday evenings that include beverages, beer, chips and dip. These are nice additions when I'm here on business! The workout center features a sauna, which is really nice after you've been on the road for a while! One thing they need to do is update the TVs to flat screen... it's a small thing but a clunky old TV makes the room feel outdated...Just sayin'! Also, the lack of available outlets gets frustrating when you need to charge a laptop and two cells! Grrr...... read more

As a Hilton DIamond member, I have stayed at a lot of Hampton Inns, and this is one of the best. It had the best layout of any hotel I have been at (I hope hotel management tells Hilton corporate). There was nothing in a room that I could want that was not provided. There were plenty of USB ports and outlets at bed and desk. Desk was perfect. The bathroom had a shelf and pullout drawers for personal items so they didn't clutter the counter space or get wet. Typical Hampton Inn amenities were nice. The fridge and microwave were excellent. Water pressure and temp for the shower were perfect as was the temp control of the room. Bed was excellent (had a great nite's sleep). Very clean (excellent housekeeping). WiFi was excellent. Beyond the room, front desk person was excellent at check-in as well. Plenty of close parking. Complimentary breakfast was ok, but nothing special. Good location. Highly recommended, especially for business travelers. read more

Stayed here for a wedding with a number of other guests. Check in was pretty easy as the room was ready upon arrival. Got to the room and was somewhat disappointed due to no dresser meaning very limited places to put your clothes and no cups in the room other than the coffee cups. Even in the breakfast area, no plastic cups, just paper coffee cups. The room was clean, it just was smaller than I am used to and I have been staying in Hampton Inns for quite some time. The breakfast was pretty standard and on Saturday Night, they must have been packed because there were more cars than parking places, this was a minor inconvenience though as you could make parking places out of open spaces. The one very bright spot about this hotel was it's staff, they were one of the more pleasant and helpful staff of any Hampton I have stayed at. The staff saved this from less than a 3-star hotel rating. If you are staying here for one night or have little stuff, this is a good option for you in Thomasville, however; if you have a lot of stuff like you would attending a wedding, you may want to look elsewhere. It was nice, just different that what I am used to from the Hampton brand. read more

Worst hotel ever. I travel extensively for business and have never had an experience quite like this hotel. If I could rate a zero, I would. My reservation was messed up and created for one less day than I was in town. Or so I was told. I received a voicemail at 1pm stating that my belongings were being packed up and that I was being moved out of my room as another guest was coming in. What the...?! Being an Honors member with significant travel, my expectation would have been - there is an issue with your reservation how can we assist you to find other accommodation, can you come get your stuff. The message I received, which due my business meetings I am in town for, at 4pm was it is your fault, we are taking your stuff out of the room - GET OUT. Are you kidding me? When I called to find out what was happening, I was told the issue was my fault as I booked incorrectly. Again as a corporate traveler, I book through our corporate system. There was no bill under the door, to alert me to the any impending check out, or in my case an unprofessional forced eviction. After my meetings when I came to collect my things they were dumped in my suitcase and I was also handed a separate plastic bag with stuff in it. Things are missing. There was no interest in ensuring I had a place to stay. No offer to assist with a solution. Again I was told the situation was my fault. WORST customer service ever. The manager, knowing I was coming in angry, left his night clerk to deal with the situation. I was told he is also the owner of the hotel. Apparently he is the one who "packed" up my belongings. I was left to find another hotel on my own. I expect more from a Hilton property than an owner/manager (Jeremy Emmett) who can't be bothered and hides behind his employees. When you travel extensively, you know things will at times go sideways. Flights get delay, or canceled. You get stuck in the tiniest of rental cars because that is all they have left. Things happen. Being blamed and told it is all my fault, evicted, having someone go through my stuff, offered no solution or assistance and being completely ignored by the hotel leadership is beyond the boundaries of unacceptable. read more

The front desk was very kind and helpful. There was a pamphlet on places to visit in Thomasville. Unfortunately I was there for work, only for 24 hours, and did not get to visit at all, other than stopping by at a restaurant downtown (Sweet Grass), which was awesome! The downtown area is less than 10 minutes away. Room was extremely spacious with a couch area. Bathrooms were pretty clean as well. After a bad stay at a different Hampton Inn in Dallas, I vowed to never stay at a Hampton Inn again, but was so pleasantly surprised at this stay. read more

I got to stay in this Hampton Inn last year for the Flaunt festival and I am excited to comeback and stay there again. I have only had positive experiences with Hampton Inns in general but this one seems extra nice because the staff is so friendly.
