Used razor cap from previous tenant.
    Charles M.

Found a used razor in the shower tub from the previous person that stayed in my room. House keeping did come and clean the bathroom after i complained. I tried to talk with the manager before I checked out but I was told that would not be possible. I also asked for the manager to follow up with me via a phone call and he never did. This isn't just a cleanliness issue, its a safety issue. I could have stepped on it and been exposed to any number of diseases or fallen. The lack of customer service from this Hampton Inn is unacceptable.

Was VERY impressed not only with the room but level of caring by the staff. We made a reservation over the phone with a lovely lady who was there at desk upon our arrival. When we got to the room I was overwhelmed by all of the amenities not even listed within the website. We got a room with 2 double beds so the room was large. There was in the room: Fridge, microwave, one cup-at-a-time coffeemaker with 2 regulars & 2 decafs, creamer, etc., a hair dryer, iron & ironing board, closet, hangers, 2 "desk" areas & Direct TV (which we have at home so loved this) on a nice 35-ish inch TV. Free Wifi. The bathroom was immaculate and had vanity kit (Q-tips, nail file, & cotton ball), 3 soaps, shampoo & cream rinse, plenty of towels. It looked brand new as the room did! The white duvets are lovely & the sheets were also. 4 pillows on each bed. The bed spreads (the white duvets) are washed between each guest stayover & the room was so clean, nice & relaxing. The beds were so comfy I layed down in late after noon to relax a few minutes & fell asleep so beware of these comfy beds if you have to stay awake lol. Thermostat on the wall to control cooling so our room was kept just a WE liked it. The pool was OPEN & looked like it was new. New furniture, plants, & hardscape. Pool goes to 5' deep & is a nice size. The hut-tub/spa was really nice & if you need to relax get in! Please no bottles in pool area just cans. There is a handicap lift for handicapped folks who would like a swim! There is a covered smoking area with a bench to sit & a thing to put butts in by the pool area. Downstairs in lobby there is coffee made & all creamers, sugars, etc., so you'll never be without. Right now there is no Continental Breakfast due to the pandemic, but there are 2 snack stands if you need a bag of chips or some cookies to tide you over. Also sodas & beers. Prices are marked up on these items but hey aren't they usually. A big Thank You to Hampton Inn for a short trip to Thomasville & making our stay there perfect.

It was close to all the places we needed to go in Thomasville. I loved the new furnishings and the spacious ambience of the hotel. At $110 a night, it is on the pricey side. We stayed two nights. We liked how impressive and clean our room was upon entering. The sensor light in the large mirror at the entrance was a nice touch. The bathroom shower was modern and the long shower there was a relief. There were very few to no concerns. I looked in the closet to use a spare throw blanket. I found spare bed sheets and a pillow with a blood spot. They have a Keurig coffee machine and coffee inside the room, a fridge, and microwave are free amenities inside the room, yet there is no free breakfast and coffee downstairs. They do have a small Shoppette to buy necessities and bistro to buy meals & drinks in the lobby. Two large hot coffees in the lobby cost us $18. The menu looked good yet expensive as well. We opted eating the snacks & food we had on us and buying a quick ready meal from Publix. If you want to stay a walk away from certain places and attractions in downtown, this hotel is very ideal & convenient.

I asked that they not charge for that first night since I had no control over my flight being cancelled. They refused, which is their right. However, if they are going to stand firm on policies, then they should provide a room that meets the minimum of a clean experience. I checked in very late the first night and when I got to my room the shower was wet and a dirty towel was in the shower. I normally would have asked for a clean room but I was so tired. I just asked for towels and cleaned the shower myself. UNACCEPTABLE. But that wasn't the worst of it. The last night I got back to my room very late and when I went to use the bathroom, the toilet handle wouldn't work. The toilet was clogged. So, at midnight I had to open the back of the toilet and stick my hands in the tank and unclog it myself. TWICE. It was disgusting and gross and the first time I've ever had to do that in any hotel. I called down and expressed to the lady working that night (she was the one that brought me the towels and took the dirty one the first night) everything that had happened and asked that she raise with management. I said that I would like a call the next day to discuss my experience. I'm sure that she relayed the message. Of course they did not call. So do not stay at this hotel. Yes, things can happen but it's how the company responds to bad experiences that counts. Best Western in Rose City didn't bother to apologize or respond. I'll remind you again - dirty used shower upon check in that I had to clean and a clogged toilet that I had to personally unclog myself TWICE.

The hotel room was not worth the price that I paid at all. The lady who checked me in at the front desk wasn't friendly and she seemed annoyed. There were times I felt as if she flat out ignored what I was saying due to her lack of response. I was given a WiFi password/code when I first checked in but was never told how to access the internet. So I ended up not being able to use it. Fortunately, the man who checked me out on my last day was much kinder. The room had an old feel and it could definitely use an upgrade. There was nothing really nice about it except that it was spacious. The bed was ok. The bathtub had drainage issues. About 1/3 of the tube filled with water while I was showering. For the complimentary breakfast, there were a couple of breakfast options which is always appreciated. The lady who worked in the breakfast area was very pleasant and helpful. I would not recommend this hotel.

I try to regularly pop into the South Eden Plantation, especially in the fall and on one of their live music nights. The wine menu is extensive and all available by the glass, which may make the decision-making process more difficult, but you'll always end up with a good wine. I eventually made up my mind with the old vine zinfandel followed by a glass of sangria, paired with the delicious cheese platter. With those hard decisions over, I could sit back, sip on my wine, and listen to some music, while the cicadas played their own music in the trees. It is always a pleasant experience at the Cream of the Crop Cafe and I can't wait to visit again for some more front porch sitting.
