Her room often smelled of urine, and while the care staff was great, her living situation quickly deteriorated. One evening I received a call where she was "lost" but they later found her in a courtyard talking to a friend. The financial accounting aspect was very frustrating. I was originally told she could eat in her room or in the dining room but then they began to charge a delivery fee. She fell a second time right before her 88th birthday and sustained a TBI. We were still expected to pay the rent portion for her 30 day notice, which I understand but I am now arguing about a $47 charge that cannot be explained. This is the last thing we should be worried about when my grandmother is now dying as a result of that last fall.
