1-Star Review for A+ Community Counseling Services Las…read moreVegas, NV I am sharing this review to document a deeply concerning and harmful experience with Dr. Chudi Obijekwu at A+ Community Counseling Services, and to warn other CDL holders and members of the public who may be wrongfully referred here. Following a recent change to the FMCSA Clearinghouse rule (effective November 18, 2024), my CDL was downgraded and flagged as "prohibited" even though I had never failed or refused a drug test. I was working a non-driving job at the time and had no violations on record. After accessing the Clearinghouse, I discovered that the source of the violation came from an incident in January 2023 while working at Kaptyn, where my employer claimed my test results were "nonconclusive" -- not positive or negative. I chose to resign rather than pay for a retest, which I was told was optional. I never failed a test. Despite this, I was required to undergo a substance abuse evaluation to clear the violation. I contacted Dr. Chudi's office, where I was told the evaluation would cost $400 cash only, even though his website lists credit card payments. The evaluation itself was extremely unprofessional -- Dr. Chudi appeared disengaged, asked few questions, and seemed barely attentive. What followed was even more alarming: He submitted a written recommendation requiring me to complete 18 hours of Marijuana Anonymous intensive treatment, despite the fact that I have never tested positive for marijuana or any other substances. The clinic he referred me to informed me that such a program does not exist in the format he described. They told me that 18 hours is not standard unless there's a recent failed drug test or severe psychiatric condition -- neither of which apply to me. Dr. Chudi also recommended 15 self-help sessions, costing hundreds more, which I must complete before he will approve my CDL reinstatement. His official assessment form contained false information: incorrect Social Security number, wrong date of violation, and a statement that I "tested positive on a pre-employment test," which is factually incorrect. This false documentation is now blocking my ability to return to work as a driver, despite having a clean record. I have already lost a job opportunity due to this and have no income. I've filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), submitted this story to FOX5 Las Vegas' The Rant, and reported it to Darcy Spears at 13 Investigates, and I urge others in similar situations to do the same. This is not just a customer service issue -- it raises serious questions about fraud, false documentation, and misuse of authority in a federally regulated process. If you are a driver or individual being referred here, I strongly advise you to get a second opinion and document every interaction.

No recognition of their mistake and accusations as well as no apology given for the stress and frustration they caused (Remember, this is a therapist's office). It's obvious if I did not post this review I would not have received a refund from them. Due to the lack of accountability, until there is a major shift in their office management and training of receptionists, I can't, rightfully so, recommend this business as I fear this will happen to future patients seeking therapy. I feel bad for the therapists as they're great. SHADY, GASLIGHTING BUSINESS PRACTICES FROM 100 dollarsFRONT STAFF THAT WILL COST YOU. THEY ARE ONLY HERE TO SWIPE YOUR CARD. GO ELSEWHERE! Story time. They will run your card without informing you of unjustified, unauthorized $100 fees. They charged me $100 dollars on 12/12 (Apparently if you cancel a 2nd time within 24 hours it's $100 dollars. First time is $50) for a session on 12/07 that I canceled the night before via voice mail. In their eyes, this would be my 3rd cancellation within 24 hours. However, I left a message on 12/06 to cancel my 12/07 session, and I called on the 7th to confirm with their front desk, Jenna, making sure she heard my message and to reschedule a new visit the following week for 12/12.. Not once was there any mention of a $100 late fee when speaking with Jenna. Why wasn't there a mention of it? Why was I not charged a fee on the 7th after I rescheduled? Because I canceled the day before. Jenna (she's wonderful) did reduce my 2nd late fee to $50 which I do appreciate as I was sick that day. This third one is the one they are lying about. The following week came, 12/12, and a front desk rep, who is new, Asia, ran my card in the morning (8 hours before my session that day) for $100, not telling me beforehand, and not telling me when I called in 4 hours later to stop future sessions for a month. I was going to cancel yesterday and all future sessions and pay a $50 fee but I was told it would cost $100 because I had other 24-hour cancellations. 12/12 WAS THE FIRST TIME LEARNING ABOUT $100 Fees! I told Asia to keep my session for the day as I didn't want to pay $100 and wasn't aware of that policy. So if I didn't know then, how would I agree to a $100 fee a week ago? Mind you she still did not notify me of her unauthorized charge at this point. I only learned a few hours later after I checked my bank statement. So after discovering the charge on my bank account, I called and spoke with Asia, who told me that they charged it because of my cancelation on the 7th. To which I told Asia that I canceled via voicemail the previous day on the 6th and why would she just randomly charge my card. She said she was new, she could not refund me, and that I would have to use it as credits and to speak with the office manager about it to get a refund. After attempting to call the office manager on the phone, she said she would call me back. No call back. But I did receive an email. In the email, she flat-out lied. She was telling me that I verbally authorized a $100 fee on the 7th. 1) how would I agree if I canceled via a message the day before during after-office hours 2) when I called that day to reschedule why was I not charged if that was the case? I would NEVER agree to spend $100 for a fee that I can avoid, I would instead pay the $31 that I normally pay and make arrangements to go to my session if that were the case, which is exactly what I did on 12/12 after learning about the possibility of this fee. They said it's against their "policy" to refund. First off, you're not refunding. You're voiding a transaction while it's processing. Secondly, it's not your money to determine what to do with it as you CHARGED A CARD WITHOUT AGREEMENT/AUTHORIZATION AND NOTIFICATION. As others said in their reviews, they are only here to swipe your card. Honestly, what kind of practice would charge a ONE HUNDRED DOLLAR late fee for your 2nd time? Imagine going to a therapist's office and they straight up gaslight you, lie to you, charge your card without ANY authorization, creating stressful situations all because they hired someone new who made a mistake and they want to save face. Rebecca Parkey should immediately fire Asia for making fraudulent charges, and Rechell for straight-up lying and gaslighting patients. They lied to me, and I'm sure they will lie again in their comment here to save face since you're unable to respond to comments on reviews. Look elsewhere!

When I asked about the possibility of untreated/undiagnosed ADHD making my anxiety and depression worse, he agreed it could be a possibility but ultimately decided not to look into ADHD. He put me on some meds that unfortunately did not work for me and at the end of December I decided to go off of them and take a little break. Well, I ended up going to ADHD center of Las Vegas where I ultimately got diagnosed with ADHD. Not only that, but in my report it mentions that my anxiety and depression is most likely related to the fact that I had undiagnosed ADHD. Huh. Well, now that I had that diagnosis I called to see if we could now treat this. Doug (who is great) told me that Jordan wasn't looking to treat anybody with ADHD at the moment but would ask since I was already established. He called back and asked if I could send over the diagnosis report and they would get back to me. This felt super weird but I agreed. Then I got the call that they wouldn't be taking me back. I understand not wanting to treat ADHD, but asking for my diagnosis then ultimately telling me no felt weird personal and intentional. Very unfortunate but I felt the need to write this review to inform others of my experience.

Hello! I am an artist, actor and blogger (www.themettagarden.com) and it is with immense gratitude…read morethat I recommend Greg Rubino and The Healing Tree of Nevada. Please indulge me... I have been dealing with skin cancer issues for a number of years usually well taken care of by creams and burning, etc. I had surgery nearly 4 years ago to have some cut out of my face. After the surgery I was on an initial antibiotic regimen. It ended with me having a severe acne break out on my scalp (not great as a bald person!) that I dealt with for nearly 3 years using various doctor and homeopathic treatments to no avail. At the same time, I had acquired an office job that put me behind a desk. I ended up gaining upwards of 25 pounds. I was feeling bloated and uncomfortable a lot of the time and felt my health declining. Nothing I did seemed to alleviate any of this. Greg's approach is wonderful because he focuses on you as an individual interviewing you about you, your life and evaluating your lifestyle - food habits, activities, and how you deal with life - your physical, mental, emotional, spiritual health. All of it. I incorporated Greg's suggestions for me and my acne issues cleared up. I have lost 20 of the 25 pounds - no more feeling of bloating and an increase in wellness. Everyone is individual and what Greg had me incorporate into my life (morning mindful movement exercise like yoga and tai chi, along with removing much wheat and dairy from my diet with an increase of raw and balance of veggies, fruit and proteins, excluding processed sugars most of the time - nothing too strict) will be different for others depending on their bodies, etc. Contact him to assist you in a holistic and healthy way of living. Happiness and peace to you all ~j

TL:DR Avoid this place like the plague, anyone who recommends it isnt doing their job or isnt doing…read morethe homework on what these practices are doing to patients in need. I can see why the reviews for this place are terrible. I had my insurance company make a 1st appointment with Matt Stoll of Heads Up because Im dealing with serious issues related to a chronic illness and some other things I need help with. The day before my appointment I was taken to a hospital by ambulance and admitted. Even in my extremely ill state I made sure to have my wife call and cancel the appointment to not just blow it off and make sure I was before the 24 hour courtesy window. I also had her ask for another appointment as this was very important to me and all of a sudden they only have appointments a month plus out. I believe this was insensitive staff being punitive and punishing me for cancelling. They were explained this is urgent and didnt give a sh*t. As a therapist office they must have an appointment opening for what will be my next weekly appointment or are they are only seeing patients monthly (highly unlikely) so this was VERY clearly spiteful. I can say this, if you are recommended to this place refuse it, run the other way and look for somewhere that actually cares about people and has staff with some sensitivity and decency. All I will say is I hope everyone or their loved ones here that were responsible for this is in need some day and are treated exactly the same way. What goes around comes around and I hope karma gets you all.
