I just called today (11/01/22) and she's still there with an attitude. I'm trying to work on myself and not go up there and curse her out. If you hate working there, find something else because you are in the wrong profession with people that have mental health problems, and we don't need her smart a** to answer the phone and get an attitude because your life sucks. I tried committing suicide a few times in my life because of the issues I go through and I don't need any more bs from her or any rude a** person. I was looking at the other reviews and I'm surprised, we've had great success here. My grandson comes here and they always answer the phone, and have always been helpful. The counselor turnover is the only bad part. If you get a good one or a crappy one you know you'll get a different one at least twice a year. They have all been caring, and the few times we've had strange requests they've been helpful, too. Building is clean, plenty of seating unless they have a teen class starting. Parking lot is large and winding. You may have to walk around a curve or two, but we've always found one. My grandson is comfortable there, which is really all that matters to me. read more

Now in 2023, because of their billing mistake, I have to pay a collection agency $888! When I called the billing office last week (2023) to confirm, they said my account was in archive status and they could not access any information. I could give zero stars I would. My doctor well now my old doctor she is simply amazing. I had to switch offices and go to a whole new provider because the office staff is horrible. I've been calling for over two and a half weeks to get a medication adjustment due to stress and trauma and they still have yet till this day called me to reschedule to get me and connected with my doctor. I've been dealing with this company for over 10 years in the past 3 years it has went to hell in a hand basket. This place is the absolutely worst place to ever get service is at and let me tell you why. I was a patient for two years. Within those two years my therapist Ashanti, left the practice suddenly and unexpectedly. The only reason that I knew about her leaving was because I called to schedule my next appointment and they said that she was no longer with the practice. I finally received a letter notifying me that Ashanti had left the practice which was back in October 2020, the letter was dated February 3, 2020 and discussed how she left back in October 2020. I now see Brandy, who has released me from services and couldn't understand while Ashanti did not release me or why I did not have the updated assessment. That assessment was completed by Brandy I was released from therapy. Back in November 2020, I filled out a release of authorization form requesting that they were lease to me all of my documents in my file. They said it can take anywhere between 30 days and they will call me letting me know how much it would cost and went way it was ready to be picked up. February 2020 comes around and I finally realize that I had not gotten a call from them, I had not gotten an update from them, so I decided to call them. They tell me that they have never received a release of authorization form from me, The one that I had filled out back in November 2020, and they asked that I sign a new one whenever is convenient for me. I express my concern that since they lost the paper once how do they expect me to trust them that they're not gonna lose that paper again I'm not we're not gonna waste more time. The reason why I was asking for my file was because I have a court case that I need to show that I was complying with the court order in order to get visitation with my daughter here in my residence in Nevada. I don't have that information. I had filed that paperwork again in early February/March, and once again they said it could take 30 days. I expressed to them that I didn't have 30 days to receive something other than the list of all the appointments that I never had I needed something else I had a court hearing the following day and I talk to Grace and Grace gave me a copy of that second assessment releasing me from therapy. It's now been 30 days and I still have no information about when my file is it going to be ready how much is gonna cost and I have it's now time sensitive because discovery is now over for my court case and I don't have the information they need therefore they want to dismiss my case or they want me to pay more money to someone else to go get new assessments which I don't have. This puts me in a financial mental and physical quandary. I am now being told by the court that I am non-compliant and that they will not proceed with my case because I don't have the information that I asked. I have expressed to them as well as my lawyer that we have reached out via fax phone and email and nobody has gotten back to us therefore I am taking it that they are withholding my file from me and legally that is not OK. So I will be moving forward with contacting all the new stations, contacting the Better Business Bureau, leaving negative reviews on all of their social media platforms, as well as reaching out to local news stations and letting them be aware of the human behavioral institute that we have here in Las Vegas that refuses to take responsibility, accountability, or provide you with your file. I do not recommend this company, I highly recommend you go elsewhere especially if you're a Medicaid patient. read more

I decided this business needed to be added to Yelp. This will be my very first one star review because I can't give it zero stars. My daughter had been visiting a child psychologist here for the past 3 years every 3 weeks or so. We initially had to come to this location due to insurance issues and the fact that other therapists weren't taking new patients. My daughters doc was decent but everything else about this facility was horrid. Without fail the waiting room was always overcrowded and hot. The front office service was spotty and the directions given were very poor. When you would call to change/add an appointment you would wait on hold for long periods of time or be disconnected. In person I was always given great service but I would watch as the staff would not give that same service to the other people there. The doctors there were always late on appointments and had very poor time management. They were always overbooked and really under qualified during our interactions. Had a telehealth appointment with Mira. She was late to my appointment and I only had 10 minutes to speak with her versus the hour that my appointment was supposed to be. I called HBI several times and no one answered. Horrible service from therapist and telephone staff all around. They had me fill out TONS of paperwork with sensitive and personal information and send it thru an unsecured email account.. just to have a rushed appointment with no help. If you are billing insurance for visits not properly received, there are going to be big problems. If I had to pay out of pocket for this appointment I would have argued for a refund. Then I just recently tried to put him back into it, however, after two sessions which technically only half a session he was told he didn't need therapy and told he didn't need to return. They are NEVER on time. We have waited close to 2 hours without being called back. The waiting room is small and usually crowded. No space for children to play, even though office is for kids. There's one tiny TV, which is almost off or playing the same movie over and over. It tool about 5 visiits for a diagnosis. I'm not sure if that's normal, but i thought it was a lengthy process. Carrie is a great prescriber and truly cares for her patients. However, I could no longer tolerate my therapist Denise. She constantly interrupted me, talked over me and asked questions only to continue speaking without giving me a chance to answer. This is supposed to be Talk Therapy? She would also add little insensitive and condescending comments during my sessions, which made it difficult to take when I already felt so raw and emotional. Not worth it! There are better therapists out there and mental health is too precious to waste time with professionals who are not trained well. read more

There were no directions and no link. When I called the lady on the phone said that my dr. was on vacation AND that they also stopped accepting my insurance. This office failed to tell me not only that my DR was on vacation but also that my insurance was no longer accepted. They lady's attitude was "oh well, deal with it." I find this to be completely repulsive and unethical. I can honestly say that this was the worst therapy experience of my life. Tisa Garrison was the therapist assigned to me and I have never had someone as unprofessional, vulgar, careless, and insulting as her talk to me. I could not even get through the first appointment I had with her, as she continuously interrupted me and made me feel like my problems/emotions were unjustified. She kept assuming things about my personal life before I would even tell her anything, so I had to continuously say "no, this is not what happened," just so she could interrupt me yet again. The cherry on top of the cake was that she laughed at me after I was trying to open up about one of the issues I have struggled with for years. At that point I told her that I was extremely uncomfortable with the way she was talking to me and I needed to speak to another therapist. She said she would call the office to notify them, but of course that didn't happen. I had to personally call the office myself and filed a complaint against this woman. I cannot understand how such a vile, unprofessional "therapist" would be employed in this huge mental health facility dealing with people who are struggling with so much in life. She should be fired and prohibited from giving anybody any type of advice. Needless to say, I will never return to this place and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! I wish I would have done more thorough research before coming to this place, because I now feel 10x worse than when I went in. Also, they should NOT be having patients fill out forms with so much sensitive/personal information through E-MAIL! You need to refer people to a secure site where this type of information can't be compromised. I will say that the only positive thing I experienced, was that my complaint was handled very quickly and professionally. HBI started out as a great place for me where I really felt cared for compared to other offices I had been to. I love that they have counseling and psychiatrist in the same location that can collaborate together to create the best plan for the patients. This is truly a unique experience and I feel this office has assisted me with a mental health plan more than other offices I have tried out. My last appointment was around the holidays. They did not end up calling me to schedule my follow up and I only had one refill on the medication I started. I tried calling twice and I had to leave a voicemail both times which was unusual. A month and half passed since the last time I heard from them. I felt forgotten and neglected. Today I called them and someone finally answered. I expressed what happened and the woman on the phone just kept trying to get me scheduled, I felt like I was being rushed and she didn't seem concerned about their neglect at all. She interrupted me when I was speaking. The only reason I didn't get her name was because she seemed as if she didn't know how to handle the situation properly, and I felt bad. Next time I experience this I will get a name so that person can improve their service. Each team member is responsible for the poor customer service and neglect that has been shown! Mental health is a serious matter as well as prescription medication. If anything would have happened to me during that period, they may have possibly been found liable. People who suffer from mental health barriers are just as important as people who suffer from other aliments. I come here with my almost 10 yr old daughter that very much needs help for anger and behavioral issues. This place is a JOKE! I see this as a melting pot for Therapists that aren't good enough for a better practice. The front desk receptionists are not at all welcoming and if you have an issue, they seem to have no care or concern. They try to change appointments without notifying you and think it's no big deal. This is a Children's place, yet the only have appointments during school hours, or their appointments are far out and your child cannot be seen or get in for constant help in a timely manner. Linda V. Fantom, PH.D. was my mother's psychiatrist. We have been to several Doctors over the years and this one was by far the rudest one she has been to. We live 35 minutes away from the office, but my Mother always leaves at least 45 mins to an hour before her appointment. When she left there was a major accident on the 15 freeway, which would've made her over an hour late for the appointment. Dr. Fantom said it doesn't matter what the reason, if my mother was not at the office for her appointment then we would have to pay a cancelation fee of $75. Even though there was nothing we could do about the accident. Needless to say we will not be going back. If I could give less than a 1* review I would. read more
