I also tried their salad and the dressing was awesome. I loved the outdoor seating. The courtyard they had was very cute! It's a little far from the city center of geneva, but only about a 15 minute direct bus ride so not to bad. Service was good and all our food came out fast. Recommend this place if you're in Geneva!

Since the place is known for fondue, we had to get that and it was really good. I could have just eaten that and been fine but I didn't know that ahead of time and ordered some ravioli, which was very good too. Service was fairly friendly and the food was great, so I give it two thumbs up. I will say the seating is a little tight but they're trying to give as many people as possible the opportunity to eat here so I get it.

The tour manager recommended we travel into the old town center. I found this restaurant through Yelp and their Rosti varieties plus the food quality are exactly what I needed for a lunch stop. The Rosti did not disappoint. Full disclaimer: Rosti can be a bit heavy with the cooking process that can include butter along with some bacon. Yes, the Rosti had the expected greasy texture, but just enough to make it savory without overpowering the various ingredients. I would recommend this restaurant if you are interested in trying the traditional Rosti dish in several varieties.

Since I'm always "game" for a new experience, I was happy to participate! I was a little nervous because when we arrived they had just opened and there was nobody there. However, I soon relaxed and felt right at home, because service was very friendly and encouraging, but with no pressure to try the game menu. I decided to be a little bold and went for the venison medallions. I even tried some of my colleague's wild boar pate, which was good. I started with a pumpkin chestnut soup which I really enjoyed. My venison was lovely as were the accompanying sides. There was a wide variety of side dishes in small portions and I appreciated that. I paired everything with a nice local beer and it was a very nice experience. The dessert menu is extensive and I went with an old standby, a chocolate mousse. It was absolutely incredible. Everything was fresh and delicious, service was outstanding and I could understand that by the time we left, there wasn't an empty seat in the place. Definitely recommend the experience here. It's more than just the food!

My fiancee and I were looking for places to eat that were not crazy expensive. Switzerland, as…read moremost of you know, is one of the most expensive countries in Europe, if not the most expensive. I was not too hungry, but he was super hungry. I looked up a few places and this place popped up. It was within walking distance of our hotel so we gave it a shot. We walked in and the guy asked if we had a reservation, to which we said no. I thought he would say he was out of room, but he offered us the communal table. There was another middle-aged couple sitting at the end. They kept looking over at us; it was a little creepy. The menu was all in French. And since neither of us can speak, let alone read French, we used Google translate to figure out what some of the words were. The server was able to explain to us what everything was and we were able to place our order. My fiancee got a meal-sized salad. And it was really big. We both thought it was going to be small, but he said it was filling, and probably the best Cesar salad he ever had. I ordered the small beef tartare, which is 180grams. I also expected it to be small. But I was so wrong. It's the size of a hockey puck and a little thicker than one, and it comes with a side of roasted potatoes, a small salad, and bread to spread the tartare on. By the end of meal, I was so stuffed. I am really glad we found this place.

Two of us started with the salat mixta--impressive mix of greens and pickled and fresh veggies. Other co-pilot started with the arugula and parmesan salad. That, too was excellent. For mains, two if us had the risotto frutti de mar while other had the filet de perche with frites in the butter-cream sauce. The risotto portion was large and was just what I needed after a day on the slopes--nice assortment of seafood in a tomato base. I had a bite of the perch and it too was excellent (i will order that when I return). No deserts for any of us, but I had an excellent calvados while my friends were given, free of charge, a lemonchello. It's not cheap, but it's very good AND it's open on Sunday b

I always enjoyed the 19 CHF plat du jour of the day, but I didn't know you also had a lunch set menu for those with a larger appetite. TIP: Other people also love Esquisse at lunch, so definitely be sure to make a reservation in advance. They have a little outdoor seating area on nice days that you can enjoy.

The white fish was wonderful, but the potatoes were *heavenly*. Thoroughly doused in butter and perfectly fluffy; I could have eaten more. The duck was moist though a little chewier than expected. It still had a fantastic flavor and the vegetables were to die for. What really knocked the meal out of the park was the dessert.
