If u like espresso, quality coffee; this is a very good choice! Located on what used to be a French quarter.... Now it's gentrified and plain.

Outside of shop - love the openness of the shop with large windows open wide overlooking Peace Park

Ever on the hunt for cool, fun indie coffee spots that also crank out exceptional cups of joe and lattes when we're traveling and out of town. We found this place near Peace Park in DT Old Town Montreal that looked like a cool place to stop in. We were looking for a place that also served quick and easy breakfast fare, not just scones muffins and pastries - this place fit the bill though not the wide assortment or selection I had hoped for but good enough - regular and chocolate croissants in the pastry case and a breakfast sandwich with an egg frittata, ham, lettuce, tomato on a croissant which both my companions ordered. We ordered 2 maple lattes and a regular latte - next time we will order our hot drinks to-go as hot drinks in ceramic cups hold heat far less longer than in a to-go cup and, anyway, the hot drinks were served not as hot as I would have liked (delicious and flavorful but lukewarm). The croissant was buttery and soft inside, just right and my companions enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches. Drinks and food items though were nothing spectacular to entice us to want to come back to this place again during our weeklong visit. SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT, QUICK AND SUPER FRIENDLY. We are trying as many indie coffee spots as we can find during this visit to Old Town Montreal within walking distance from our hotel (Homewood Suites on Saint Laurent & Viger) so check out my reviews on which ones we tried and liked. :)

Cappuccino. Note the unique cup. Very heavy glass that feels amazing in the hand. This was a perfect cappo.

Exemplary coffees from a rotating range of roasters that they intend to update once a month. Since this place opened only three weeks ago, it've been the solid choice of Pilot from Toronto, but that will soon change. There are so many superb roasters in Canada from coast to coast so it will be interesting to see this place evolve. I had an espresso day 1 and a cappuccino day 2 and both were completely perfect. I LOVE their cups- heavy glass that feels wonderful. The space is absolutely stunning, with a huge wall of windows opening onto a cute park that attracts a diverse assortment of visitors. It's all very urban in the best possible way.

Very chic and spacious cafe, a chill and comfortable place to hang out. High ceilings, urban, white and grey, potted plants, an abundance of natural light etc. They have a bunch of tables and communal high tops with stools. They have rotating coffee roasts. On the day I visited they had de mello palheta, which I'm a fan of and used to drink a lot when I lived in Toronto. They have oat, almond and soy non-dairy milk. I tried an oat milk latte and it was excellent - great crema. Nicely presented too - on a wooden board. They have some pastries and pizzas. Also free WiFi and power outlets, so you could hang out here with your laptop.

I ordered my raspberry and custard danish to pair with my Americano coffee... but I also wanted something more substantial so I went with the pancetta. Well, I thought I was ordering the pancetta, when I pointed at the item with the sign for it, it was actually a ham and cheese croissant...but until they served it I didn't know that's what I had pointed to. When I questioned it that it didn't look like pancetta they said that people always mix that up... I guess maybe they ought to display it differently, but they happily made me the pancetta and I took it to go because at that point I had already bit into the ham and cheese and that along with the danish and coffee, it was enough for then... They didn't charge me for the pancetta! That was NICE, so I gave them an extra tip in the jar, because they were very gracious about it. The danish was very good and went nicely with the coffee. I enjoyed my window seat overlooking the street (until the bee came....) Later, when I went to eat the pancetta, I unwrapped it and found it to be barely filled with any meat, but certainly plenty of greens. It wasn't pleasant, so I didn't really take but a couple bites before throwing that away. I'm glad I didn't pay for it, if that's how it normally comes. Overall I'd go again and order the danish and coffee. The ham and cheese was actually pretty good too. But I'd be careful on the pancetta.. maybe it was a one-off situation.

It can get busy and the lines form out the door, but the pastries and coffee are worth it. We ordered the chocolate and pistachio filled croissants and donuts. I would rate both chocolate and pistachio filled croissants a 9/10 and the donut versions of each a 7/10. I felt the croissants tasted better and had more filling. We ordered the Remix which is authentic freddo expresso, cafe crema soft serve and topped off with hot frothed milk and chocolate. This was a 10/10 and was every bit of amazing as it looks in the picture. Service was fast and friendly. One note, they don't have flavored coffees, so I couldn't order a caramel latte, for example. Overall, great coffee shop that we enjoyed every day during our stay.

We ordered a hot chocolate, cappuccino, tiramisu, and an affogato, and every single item exceeded expectations. The hot chocolate was rich, smooth, and indulgent without being overly sweet -- pure comfort in a cup. The cappuccino was perfectly brewed with bold espresso flavor and beautifully textured milk, exactly how a great Italian-style coffee should be. The highlight of our visit, without question, was the affogato. It was hands down the best I've ever had. The pistachio gelato was unbelievably creamy, nutty, and flavorful, and when paired with the hot espresso, it created an unforgettable balance of temperature and taste. It was truly out of this world and worth the visit on its own. To finish, the tiramisu was light, perfectly layered, and not overpowering -- a flawless end to an already incredible experience. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and authentic. Café Olimpico isn't just a café -- it's an experience. Exceptional quality, consistency, and passion in every cup and dessert. Highly recommended, and absolutely a place we'll keep coming back to.
