Dal ( left), accidental shrimp dish ( right), rice front

Totally enjoyed it- plenty of vegan options. The server ( possibly the owner?) was super nice and while he accidentally brought us a shrimp dish instead of the chickpea and cauliflower dish we ordered ( which was Delicious! Highly recommend), he replaced it and did not charge. Food was great. Had vegans and non vegans in group and all Cool spot. Would give it a 4.5, but can't seem to give that extra 1/2

Summary: 3.5 stars for the food (NY Standards), but you get 4.5 stars for a chill atmosphere. A hookah lounge vibe without the smoke. Very cool to chill, read a book, meet a friend and chat. Menu in English. Atmosphere: There is something about this place. It's above ground (why is everything in CPH in the basement? It's got very light music. The pillows all over results in that conversation buzz without actually hearing every word of the table next to you. I went on a slow night. I could totally see catching up with a group of friends. It has that cozy sort of feeling the Danes love so much, but with an Indian vibe. The Service: Slow-ish, but professional and nice. This guy takes A LOT of time and effort to make a coffee. I watched him and was thinking... wow... that is the longest I have ever seen someone spend on a coffee. And yet, the other part of me said... well...he's really focused on making it nice, so perhaps its ok. The Food. There is a really small selection. I had the Chicken Tikki Masala. There are 5 other choices. It says very clearly that this is his family's recipe, so there are some difference, primarily in that they added some very nice fresh peppers. The curry as well, is not quite as sweet, but has more of a yellow curry dark taste. I did not dock any stars for this so much. It's more that I had to add a bit of salt. This opened up the flavors dramatically. It's a beautiful dish and well plated. There is slightly not enough rice, but this can be fixed if they just make Naan as a more prominant option (I didn't see it on the menu, but I also didn't remember to ask). The food came out hot and took about 15 minutes, so not bad on service.

Cute cafe which has a street view and is even slightly higher than the ground level! This means it is well daylit during the day, a hard thing to find sometimes in cph! The decor is cute, reminds a bit of Indian style I would say with all the colours and pillows. It seems like it has a good food menu with some special Indian dishes which I am keen in going back to taste. I had a chai latte which was good and cutely decorated. Chill place for a chill evening!

I notice cafe Munk when I pass by on the bike, on my way to work. I decide to drop there for lunch. Since then it become my favorite place to eat. Cozy interior, beautiful and welcoming outside, with all flowers and green plants: it looks like oasis in the heart of the city. Waitresses are always welcoming and friendly. I like their variety of food: home style Indian dishes, vegan, vegetarian or for meet eaters, nice choice of fresh salads and small appetizers, sandwiches and burgers. Food is a fusion of Indian and Scandinavian kitchen, with a large choice of healthy and vegan food (it makes me very happy!) portion are generous, prices are fine. I love to sit there and just do my paperwork there, big plus for free wi-fii and delicious coffee also on soya milk! This place stole my heart and I will be coming there again and again. I can recommend it for everybody.

The experience was meh. I was craving Indian food and I found this place on yelp nearby with good reviews so I decided to tried it but ended up being disappointed. For starters, I think is overpriced, they only had one waitress that day and you have to go order to the cashier but pay at the end, which I found unnecessary and confusing. The food look good but the taste was bland. So I would say is a Scandinavian version of Indian food so if you're looking for real flavors might not be the place for you.

Their house burger (I think that's what it's called) with caramelized onions, mushrooms, cheddar cheese and a salad mix.

Fantastic staff and food. Yesterday, my husband and I were on a run for the first time in Copenhagen. Both of our phones died and without them, we would have had no idea where to go or how to get to the place we were staying at. The staff were kind enough to let us use their iPhone charger. While we were there, we sampled their coffee and then watched as delicious plates of food later came out and decided we would come back for dinner. We each had a samosa to start with and a burger (I had the house and he had the deli). All was delicious. We can't wait to go back and try the Indian food!

We came here around 9:30 on a Thursday expecting not to need a reservation .. it's 9:30 on a…read moreThursday! - but when we got there, the host said we got the last unbooked table. Once we got our food, we understood why so many people come. This was without a doubt the best meal we had in Copenhagen. All the dishes were simple, elegant, and focused on the wholesome ingredients. The eggs. THE EGGS! Never would I have thought that scrambled eggs with ketchup would blow my mind like this did. Other big stand-outs were the avocado, asparagus, and homemade bread. My spouse had the chicken nuggets and lost his shit. Would DEFINITELY recommend to anyone who finds themselves in Copenhagen. And get a reservation!

Three or four stars? It's a tough question when it comes to this place but I end up giving it four…read morestars instead. Why did I even consider three? - It's a trendy place so there were lots and lots of people there when we tried our brunch there on a Sunday morning. Although we didn't have to wait long for our table, online table booking would have been more convenient. Seriously, what's up with these brunch places - you can be strict and say you would hold table for 15 minutes only and I am sure people would appreciate that. - Noise level was absolutely bad, see #1. It's a big open place inside and since there were lots of people and they were all talking, we could hardly have a conversation inside, let alone hygge, but fortunately the food was good enough of a distraction - Super greasy bacon. Seriously, if you claim to be a brunch place, do your bacon right. I like the smokey flavour but the shit was literally dripping with oil. Kinda disgusting to pick up from the plate and now for the positive sides: I love that there are more and more brunch places with this concept where you mix and match your own stuff. All the stuff they had in their menu (would like to try the asparagus but they didn't have that!) sounded so scrumptious that we felt like we had to try it all and we did (almost all). My personal favourites would be the soft-boiled egg and the waffle, although Mina K also swore by the sunny side up egg (spejlæg). The item that I was looking forward the most (avocado) turned out to be a big disappointment. More flavour please. Although there were so many people on that day, the service was very prompt and efficient, we got our table relatively fast considering that there were 6 names ahead of us and the food came quick too. My cortado was delicious although it was somewhat weak. All in all, service was quick and painless. I might want to try this place again on a not weekend morning, or maybe later in the afternoon when there's more relaxed atmosphere around this place. Sunday morning brunch gave us bad vibes since they were a lot of people waiting to get their brunch and the stressed out waiters and waitresses didn't help. Four for now and I really hate to degrade my review. I hope it never will come to that.

My…read morefriend is vegan and I am always excited to try vegan restaurants, plus she had this cafe bookmarked for a while. The layout of the cafe is very cozy and dimly lit, a perfect place for vegans to socialize over lattes and food. We decided on their brunch platter and croissant sandwich, so we could share everything. I got a matcha latte and she got a regular one. The cashier was very kind, and she gave us her recommendations on what to try. She even spoke to me in English (although she didn't have to!). I also decided on trying out a pain au chocolat. Wow, just simply wow. Their pastries are still buttery and fluffy while remaining amazingly vegan, and their ingredients are high quality. The "cheeses" did not taste like plastic, no, but tasted similar to authentic cheese. The croissant sandwich was full of flavors and everything on the brunch platter was delicious. I especially loved how they decorated and seasoned the avocado (and it was ripe!) The matcha latte was a lovely wake up, especially after I had a horrible matcha latte the day prior. After about an hour or so, we were both eyeing their options of "cheesecakes" and decided on sharing a slice of their pecan option. After we took our first bite, my friend and I just looked at each other. The pecans and sauce complimented each other so well, and the vegan consistency wasn't too mushy! The breading was not too crumbly and each bite was Heaven. All in all, I am SO EXCITED to come back to this delicious cafe, as it was my favorite restaurant we tried during our stay in Copenhagen.

So fantastic!! See previous review for nearby Cafe Bla…read more My meager avocado served with my toast in that cafe quickly caused me to be hungry again. Thankfully, Kaf is in the same neighborhood. It is a vegan bakery! There are a few gluten-free pastries, namely the cakes. The place was small inside and it was packed. Dog friendly . . . Five stars for that! There is an outside seating area as well. We ordered some items and all were so amazing! On their Instagram page they are always posting about their vegan fastelvnsbolle and so we got some. It is basically a cream puff the size of a child's fist. Oh my, one of my faves from Denmark. The vanilla whipped cream inside was so light and not to sweet. The dough did not get soggy. On the contrary, the bottom of the pastry was crunchy and sweet. Almost like the bottom of an almond croissant. I also recommend their vegan, raw cakes. Deep rich chocolate is involved, yay!
