Excellent food & they very kindly served us just after closing, as there were no other food options nearby. But this restaurant is not just for the desperate. All the dishes and sauces tasted very fresh & good, the naan bread & pappudums (sp!) were excellent and the atmosphere cozy & modern. We've had lots of Indian food in the UK & CA and this was some of the best ever. Google maps had a bit of trouble finding it, but follow your nose. It's right on the big boulevard. read more

Came here with a friend for dinner twice while we were visiting Copenhagen. The restaurant was conveniently located near our hotel and we were both craving Indian food! We had the samosa as an appetizer and I had the Chicken Tamil Nadu for dinner. As a side, I ordered the plain naan. Everything was perfectly flavored and delicious!! I'm gonna cut to the chase and tell you that this was the best Indian meal I've ever had. Tucked away in the ground floor of an upscale condominium complex, Rasoi is home to a wide variety of delicious Indian cuisine. (Veg friendly, even.) We came here at the recommendation of our airbnb host, as well as other guests who have stayed there before. They've got a separate entrance for pickup/to-go orders. We came in around 7:15 on a Monday night. It was fairly empty, but I've read it gets pretty packed. I would've loved to see the interior during the day - high ceilings, big windows, wood furnishings. The menu was primarily in Danish, but there was an English section towards the back. We started off with a Mango Lassi and my boyfriend got a Mojito. My drink was so delicious - not an overwhelming amount of milkyness. It was perfect. We started with some tandoori garlic naan, which was very fluffy and tasty. You had the choice of either garlic or butter. Garlic was a great choice as it complemented the sweetness of my entree. We also had some shish kebab. This was a little too salty for my liking, but the white sauce and greens helped balance it out. For the main dish I went with the chicken tamil nadu - a South Indian dish. Very sweet and savory all at once. Its stew was made with coconut milk. It was seriously so good. The rice comes separately, but it wasn't too pricey (30 dkk/ .50c usd.) I went there for dinner with colleagues after a long day at a conference. The waitress was new but was very attentive. Very nice slate color tables and good interior decor. Service was relatively quick once appetizers came around. Food was flavorful but only remotely authentic. There are not many restaurants in the neighborhood so if you are stuck in the area, it is not a bad option. Just don't go expecting authentic Indian food. read more

Ugh. We were so excited to move near an Indian place but it's just not good. We ordered the saag paneer and the chicken tikka masala. They were both strange tasting and just spiced wrong. My husband spent a month traveling in India and Indian food is probably my favorite food and I've been to hundreds of Indian restaurants. And they didn't come with rice! FINALLY SOME GREAT FOOD IN COPENHAGEN! I've heard from a lot of people that when you get sick of Scandinavian cuisine, you turn to either Thai or Indian food because it's the next best thing (if not better). Rasoi by far met our expectations. Located very close to the Bella center subway stop, rasoi is an upscale, beautifully decorated restaurant with unique dishes and generous portions. Their drinks are great as well, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. We ordered tandoori chicken, lamb kebobs, chicken curry, garlic naan, vegetable curry, and a mango lassi. Though the two curries tasted a little too similar; the ingredients were clearly very fresh and well prepared. The tandoori chicken was served with delicious fresh vegetables, something I was really craving after carb loading in Europe the week before! I tried tandoori chicken and another chicken dish and enjoyed them both. Service was good too. Both dishes had nice flavor. Would recommend especially if you are staying nearby and enjoy Indian food. This was an amazing experience. I came here after a long business day and not knowing whether to have Indian in Copenhagen. It was the best Lamb Achari I have ever had with good chunks of Achar in the curry. The curry rivaled the best curries I have had in the UK. I started with the Sheek Kabab, which was flavorful, cooked well and came with mint sauce and fresh salad. Again it reminded me of one of the best that I have had. The restuarant is walking distance from the Bell Center, so it wa easy to get to and if I ever stay here again, I will definitely come back. read more

I went here with my family last week because it happened to be close to where we were staying in Copenhagen. I think I have above-average standards when it comes to Indian food, because I've been spoiled by having been invited over to dinner by my Indian friends' parents several times. I was impressed by Restaurant Rasoi. The food was very good. Food that was called "spicy" was actually spicy (which I find rare in Scandinavia) and the dishes had a very interesting and well-composed balance of flavors. Food: Here's what we ordered: Home made samosa - Spicier and with a different flavor than I'm used to in typical samosas. (I.e., not just potato-peas flavored.) I think I picked out some coriander seed in addition to cumin and other flavors. Shish kebab (lamb meat) - Good, with a level of spice that builds after you've had a couple of bites. Interesting blend of flavors. I think I picked out coriander seed in this one as well. Chicken curry - Great dish. Relatively mild in spiciness, and not at all like typical curry dishes I've gotten before at restaurants. It's hard for me to describe the flavor, but it reminded me of butter chicken with a tang. Spicy shrimp - Indeed, very spicy, but good. I had to eat it with a lot of rice/ bread. Pilau rice - This is the standard saffron rice you get at most Indian restaurants. Perfectly done. Tandoori Naan - pretty sure they made this fresh after we ordered it. I bake a lot of bread myself, so I know the "fresh out of the oven" taste. I also had the rhubarb organic lemonade. It was good, but not a huge portion. Service: The staff was very friendly and we had great service overall. When we arrived, which was right at the beginning of dinner service (around 5 pm on a weekday), there was only one waitress handling the dining room. However, we didn't experience a longer wait than usual. At the end, the guy who I think was the head chef came by and asked how our food was. It was a nice touch. Family: This place is also kid-friendly. We went here with our toddler. They have high chairs and there's plenty of space for them, not like those crowded restaurants where you can hardly find a place for your kid to sit. Prices: I think the prices were on the cheap side for Copenhagen - cheaper than what you'd pay for food in the central area of Copenhagen, for food that is much better than other food I've eaten in Copenhagen. Reservations: We did not have one and just wandered in. That was fine at 5 pm, but it's probably worth making reservations if you go during peak dinner hours. It got busy quickly. read more
