    Matcha latte

Had a quick stop with a matcha latte and milano biscuit. Both were good. They did everything right on the latte, and it was unsweetened, which is how I like it. The milano was very good - it had a bright lemony flavour and nice soft mouthfeel. The barista and cashier that helped me was really friendly and the cafe is nice. They have a lovely patio out back that was getting lots of sun while we were there. I didn't buy any merch, but I really liked their shirts and tote bags with the latte art logo.

A nice local at the bank said this place had really good coffee and boy was she right. The iced caramel latte was the best my partner has ever had in his life ... and he told the barista that was we left. He made the caramel sauce FROM SCRATCH -- no artificial Torini flavors here. The latte was perfectly sweet and creamy. The flat white was solid as well. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff. What else could you ask for?

This coffee shop is a bit hidden, but it's really nice, the decor, the vibe, the coffee, the terrace, etc. I love spending a sunny afternoon in summer in the terrace in the back of the coffee shop, it's really lovely! I tried their iced matcha latte, it's quite good, but not the best in town. I like the tranquillity that we get at this coffee shop, so if you are here to relax, read a book, meet a friend, this is a really great spot! Enjoy your time at in Gamba!

I tried the matcha latte which was really good. Croissant with jam and Brie was great too.

I went there at 1:30 pm. My first impression was that I was not much of a fan of the red wallpaper but the choices of drinks were delicious. The location of place was great as it is not too noisy outside and the cafe is pretty nice to work in. However, the red wall other than on red clothes and on things really turned me off. The staffs were friendly and helpful with extras like sugars and extra toppings. Overall, nice place to meet up to have a drink and work a bit I am off to discover other coffee shops.

I walked 40 minutes from a hotel on Peel Street just to try the espresso here (on the recommendation of one of my business hosts) and was glad I did. The walk also turned out to be a great way to see part of the city that I missed during a mostly business trip. Can't recall what espresso they were serving up but both the Cappuccino @ espresso were the best I had during my Montreal visit. Pastry was excellent as well. The uncrowded space was also nice but it may also have been a sad side-effect of the monster road construction in the neighborhood. They also get good karma points for the friendly customer who realized I was visiting and recommended Lemeac Bistro as a nice place to grab a meal before the walk home.

The coffee shelf was impressive: 49th Parallel, Intelligentsia, Counter Culture, and even St-Henri beans neatly stacked. Unfortunately, many of the bags for sale were more than a couple weeks old (I found a few August 3rd roast dates). There was something wrong with my latté. I don't have another Counter Culture Big Trouble drink readily in memory to compare with, but it tasted way too bitter for the caramel-nutty-round description of the beans. Gut feeling tells me it's a barista failure. He was busy talking politics to another client while my drink was being prepared. Overall I wasn't left with a great impression. 3rd wave coffee is about more than just big name beans. The attention here is wrong. It should be more on the preparation of the drinks than red sofas and chic decor.

Caffe in Gamba is like its' name, confusing, but oddly pleasant. The prices are stellar, especially for the pizza! For only $3.49, the taste is superb for the price. Don't come here for the food however, if you are a thirsty hippo needing an oasis, the iced beverages are terrific. The service was excellent as well and they prepared the food and drink so fast I couldn't even say merci in time. The only issue I have with the place is the red wall, and the eclectic music. If you're here to study, don't expect to get an A, because the combination of blood red walls, brings out a legitimate sense of fear. Overall, everything besides the ambiance is amazing, and the prices are fantastic. Maybe stop by for a drink to go and leave before the wall colours induce a panic attack.

I found myself at Caffe In Gamba after wandering around Mile End in need of an air-conditioned haven to study while getting cranked up on coffee. I was thrilled to taste the refreshing Cold Brew with milk and sugar that I ordered (only $3.17), only seconds before it was presented to me by a kind-spirited barista. I proceeded to use their wifi for four hours, and they never once asked me to leave, which I will be eternally grateful for. They have an array of seating choices from classic coffee shop tables, high tables, and a cozy couch section. However, I was extremely distracted by the atmosphere. The knock-off Drake music was not conducive to studying, and even more off-putting were the viciously red walls which surrounded me as though I had returned to the womb. In summation, I enjoyed my experience here, but it is by no means the best spot to study.

I appreciate any place with a delightful Jesus painting where I can practise the world's #1 religion: Coffee. It really brings everyone together. And this place is a great place to gather all your friends (or disciples) and sit with a cup of holy brew. Now, I wouldn't say this is the heaven of all coffee, but it's pretty darn good. I was once betrayed into thinking my latte was skim when it was not. JUDAS! They have a wide selection of beans for sale from many indie roasters. Check the expiry date cause I've been Judas-ed twice now. Freshness commandment, broken. But, I do forgive. The space itself could use a modern spruce up. The vibe is stuck a bit in purgatory, neither here nor there, but with TLC, can easily see the light. Keep faith.

It can get busy and the lines form out the door, but the pastries and coffee are worth it. We ordered the chocolate and pistachio filled croissants and donuts. I would rate both chocolate and pistachio filled croissants a 9/10 and the donut versions of each a 7/10. I felt the croissants tasted better and had more filling. We ordered the Remix which is authentic freddo expresso, cafe crema soft serve and topped off with hot frothed milk and chocolate. This was a 10/10 and was every bit of amazing as it looks in the picture. Service was fast and friendly. One note, they don't have flavored coffees, so I couldn't order a caramel latte, for example. Overall, great coffee shop that we enjoyed every day during our stay.

We ordered a hot chocolate, cappuccino, tiramisu, and an affogato, and every single item exceeded expectations. The hot chocolate was rich, smooth, and indulgent without being overly sweet -- pure comfort in a cup. The cappuccino was perfectly brewed with bold espresso flavor and beautifully textured milk, exactly how a great Italian-style coffee should be. The highlight of our visit, without question, was the affogato. It was hands down the best I've ever had. The pistachio gelato was unbelievably creamy, nutty, and flavorful, and when paired with the hot espresso, it created an unforgettable balance of temperature and taste. It was truly out of this world and worth the visit on its own. To finish, the tiramisu was light, perfectly layered, and not overpowering -- a flawless end to an already incredible experience. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and authentic. Café Olimpico isn't just a café -- it's an experience. Exceptional quality, consistency, and passion in every cup and dessert. Highly recommended, and absolutely a place we'll keep coming back to.
