Catfish and grits to go. It was great together and tasted better than it looks

Great music, good drinks and good food. What more can you ask for from a Sunday day party? DJ King was playing all of the 80s, 90s, 2000s+ hits and had music videos to go with them. It was complete vibes to go with the dim atmosphere and cool artwork. Nakia has to be the best bartender because out of the three we had she was making the drinks perfectly. She also suggested great food choices which were the jerk rolls and the catfish and grits. The jerk rolls are a must order item and I've never had anything quite like them. They were filled with Collard Greens and jerk chicken which sounds crazy, but it actually went extremely well together. When dipped in the jerk sauce, the taste is just impressive. You will not regret ordering this. The catfish and grits were also really good. The catfish was hot and crispy and although the grits were a bit sweet (I don't think they had sugar in them), Nakia explained that it was to counter some of the spice in the sauce which made a lot of sense. I would totally order this again as well. Also, this place has a rooftop! The rooftop has a full bar, seating (tables and booths, first come first serve seating), hookah service and the DJ (mainly playing 2000s rap and r&b) was doing his thing up there as well. The only complaint I have is the eventbrite invite stated that the tickets to the day party came with a free mimosa but no one that worked there seemed to have gotten the memo. Please fix this... Prices were pretty up there too but that's about par for most bars in Atlanta these days. Despite this issue the place is actually a pretty cool place to hang out in. I would definitely come back.

HOTTTTT!!!! It's blazing hot in there, the bartenders are so pretty and kind, they have really great customer service. It's really disgustingly hot though. I can't imagine working under such conditions. Even the rooftop being open did not help. The music is good and they have nice tv's displaying music videos. Drinks and food are affordable

Other than Alexis, this place is not worth it. They falsely advertise live reggae music. We drove down an hour from the north and stayed at a local hotel to attend this "live reggae" music. The open air rooftop is lovely. We did not mind that rap was being played while we waited for reggae. And then we were told there was no live reggae. Which we were fine because we were hoping that the DJ would play reggae. However, there was no reggae ever played. We were charged a $40 cover, and when speaking with the manager he was shocked to find out that online their advertisement of live reggae music when we showed him their own descriptions.

    Empty booth on packed rooftop

Parking is not free. Came for a Sunday game meetup for Chicago Bears fans. There are not enough TV or seats on rooftop. No fans on rooftop to abate the heat. The servers were not friendly. They have a reserved booth for the owner on the rooftop, and the owner is not here. So people were standing and this 6 seat booth was empty. Last but not least, mid game, they stopped taking food orders cause they are behind. Drink specials are good but I Won't come here again. On everything!!!

Love the decor and food, but music is too loud for me. Service is upbeat and hookahs are fab.

I can't believe it took me so long to eat at Delilah's! I've known of this highly lauded business…read morefor years but never found the right day when I was craving soul food and in the area to order. Until recently. I decided to have a tapas-style dinner with food from The Works and just had to grab some chicken from Delilah's. The menu is plentiful without being overwhelming, except when it comes to picking a favorite between the flavorful options. I knew that I didn't want or need a full meal and opted for their 3 whole wing option that came paired with cornbread. The young man who took my order was so polite and patient, as there were a few folks in line and waiting for previously placed orders. He let me know that my order would be ready in about 15 minutes so I took the time to continue my food-finding journey around the market. When I returned later, I had lost track of time and figured I'd just poke my head around their stall to see if my chicken was ready. It wasn't at that moment but I took some time to observe the process. There was only one guy in the open kitchen and prep area creating all of the meals and he was on the move. If I could add smells to my review, this one would smell like fried chicken and cornbread. It was all so fresh! When my order was ready, I only made one other stop before heading to my car to go home to my family... but not before I tested those whole wings from Delilah's. When I say that they were fresh out of the grease? Babehhh. It's like he just threw them right into the basket only seconds before. It was sooo crunchy, so juicy, just a fantastic wing. The hot sauce was a nice pairing but some spice in the breading/meat would have taken it over the top but this chicken was delicious. No notes.

I don't know if it was a marketing tactic or genuine happening,…read morebut there was a sandwich (seemingly ready for customer pick-up) at the edge of the counter that looked delectable and totally caught the attention of my friend and I walking by. It made us stop and ask, "what is this place and this absolutely delicious-looking sandwich?!" The rest is history. We ordered yummy fried chicken pieces and a bbq chicken sandwich. It cured our souls. We asked the generous, wonderful lady at the counter about the story of Delilah's: was she a real person, who is she, etc. her answers made us fall in love even more... this is a genuine, family-owned and operated enterprise! We love, love, loved our food and I can't wait to go back and soport again!!! You gotta try it.

That's usually both a…read morered and green (brown? lol) flag for me, but the space is huge - indoor and outdoor seating - so putting our names down only resulted in a 20 minute wait. Entirely manageable. Started off with the Tropic Like It's Hot mocktail (pineapple, orange juice, coconut water cream). Pretty tasty, crisp, and refreshing. Then came the cornbread muffins with the "liquid gold" spun honey. Unbelievable. Hot, crumbly, and easily the best thing on the table. Whoever is running the pastry program in the back understands pure physics. I could've eaten a dozen of those alone. For the entree, I got the Spiced Maple Chicken & Grits - fried chicken tossed in maple hot sauce, grits, two eggs, benton's bacon, and scallions - along with a side biscuit and jam. Complete hit. The chicken had a great crunch, the heat-to-sweet ratio was locked in, and the grits were smooth. Biscuit was flaky and proper, too. Bottom line: Buttermilk Kitchen executes at a high level even when swamped. Just don't skip the cornbread. I'll definitely be back.

They have a mini lot in the front and two in the back but space is limited. We had the biscuit trio and they were good. They get cold fast though. It comes with 3 jams and butters for you to try. The French toast was good but idk how fresh the bread was bc the crusts were hard- especially after cooking. It was actually kind of disappointing bc I had a much higher expectation for the texture and flavor. There's nothing special about it. My friend loved her grits, eggs and bacon dish. Service was good and timely. Overall, I'd go back and try something different but would definitely get the biscuits again.

WAS THIS A HIT OR MISS ???…read more It was a HIT I have been dying to try this place out for years and I figured I planned a lunch with a friend so we could spend the afternoon chitchatting and this was the perfect spot. So we were warmly greeted and then taken to a quiet table in the corner that had the whitest tablecloths. It looked rather chic Then we had the best server. She checked on us numerous times, didn't rush us and offered suggestions. She kept our table clear of mayhem from empty plates and glasses. Now the food was delicious. It was so good. The chicken was moist and the outside was crispy. The mashed potatoes melted in my mouth. Plus, we had a slice of 7up cake for dessert. I high recommend this place. They have valet parking that is only $2. Great place to visit. Until next time.

Their breads and jams are particularly delicious, but my absolute favorite--and the most pleasant surprise--was the fried green tomatoes with goat cheese. They were incredible! For my entrees, I've tried the blue crab quiche and the frittata. Both were decent, though the crab quiche could have used a bit more flavor. My guests really enjoyed their orders, including the Springer Mountain chicken, Nashville bites, and the farm egg hash. Overall, it's a solid spot--clean and modern, with great baked goods and reliable service. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.
